The most epic loot I ever had drop was the sinister Squashling during Hallows End '08. He's a little bad ass and I didn't replace him with level 78 PvP crafted blues like those epic shoulders out of Black Temple.
Dark Whelpling There you go guys for the link of the item above :)
Blade of Misfortune
The most epic drop i have gotten must actually be Bloodfang boots on my rogue. I was the only rogue with 7 pieces of Bloodfang on the server back then and i only missed the boots. But the boots never dropped. So one time broodlord (the boss that drops the boots) was on 20% and i disced. I was so frustrated because of the boots might have dropped and i did not know. 30 mins later i got my net back logged in and the boots had dropped. But every rogue said that they should wait for me. So they had waited and they passed the boots for me. even though i had less dkp, so then i was first rogue to have full bloodfang on the server. :)
I got a Brewfest Kodo after PuGing Direbrew about 30 times in a row. :D
Twas a warm sunny afternoon on the Barren plains just Southwest of Crossroads. Our party consisted of 5 souls, lost from a long day of training and merely attempting to make it back to our beds. As we ventured our way closer to the village, we noticed a cave... A cave that seems to give off a magic presence, or so our resident priest told us.We chose to journey into the dark abyss, err, cave, and began to notice abnormally difficult creatures. Even a mad goblin was inside, with his rather potent drink we found amongst his belongings. We went further still, into this massive labyrinth, and found ourselves matched up against foes of unusual difficulty. While it looked like a regular raptor, it certainly didn't fight like one. But nonetheless, the creatures of this place were unable to stop us. So deeper we went, descending into a rain forest of sorts.Blobs of ooze and even more raptors continued to attack us. We even saw a few... Dare I say... Serpent creatures lurking just beyond our clear sight. Even this, however, was unable to halt our progress. Unable to stop the mighty force we had become. We awoke that morning mere weaklings, but by this time of the evening, we had become stronger than any we had met. Our equipment nearly broken, some pieces thrown off to the side, left in the dirt to be destroyed by nature. Some of us nearly naked of our magic gear, down to our very undergarments. We surged on, past the raptors, past the serpent creatures, and past the oozes. We encountered a few unfriendly druids, silly druids... They were no match for us. My compatriot manage to acquire something from one of the druids, but he was reluctant to share with us what he found. We thought nothing of it, and continued on.Past the druids, past the crocodiles, and into a large circular room we came. It was then that we saw it... a giant creature, not of anything we had seen before. A giant... turtle? Our eyes locked on him... and we sprung into action yet again. His shell... it was so difficult to penetrate. We tried everything, and only finally did we manage to land a blow upon his head that ended his gigantic life. The rest of my fellows in agony from the long fight, I wandered over to inspect his shell yet again. This is when I noticed its unique qualities... qualities that made our struggle mere moments ago, seem more logical. It was then, that I acquired the: Kresh's Back(edit for restring of first sentence)
I guess one of the most epic lootz for me was when I was into twinking and I found a piece of armor on the AH for about 1/20th the going rate. Needless to say I swiped that badboy up in a heartbeat.
I would have to say it was win my druid got epic flight form, while on the quest chain I came across a horde druid. Being on a pvp server I thought for sure she/he would gank me right as I got to the floating island, but turns out she wanted to help, so together we owned the one boss I was sure I would fail on cause being feral druid I had no really spell power.
