One of my memorable epic drops occurred in The Mechanar during an eventful 2007 summer.I had completed a long and painful series of pick-up-group runs in the Mechanar, in order to reach Revered with the Sha'tar (which was needed at the time for a heroic key). And then I did additional runs to obtain a Primal Nether (which were bind-on-pickup at the time). All of that was in service of crafting myself a pair of Netherdrake Gloves -- the pattern for which I had paid 700 gold some weeks earlier. But I loved the gloves, and was very satisfied to have made them.As luck would have it, just a few days after crafting and equipping my fancy new gloves, I was in The Mechanar again (for additional Primal Nethers) when Handguards of the Steady dropped, which I won. I hadn't even known they existed!
Most epic loot hands down... Toe lint (from the new daily troll patrol) as if i didn't already have enough.
Second most epic loot (since I posted my first the other day):My first Mr. Pinchy catch was so exciting that before I had the chance to loot it, my arm spasmed in a fit of joy and my character moved about an inch. The GMs were apologetic, but unfortunately unable to loot the item to me.Depressed, I gave up for the day. The next day I set out, ready for a whole day of nothing but fishing, determined to get another Crawdad box. My 3rd cast on my first pool yielded a loot confirmation window, and I calmly clicked ok. The 2nd wish granted me a Pinchy, and he's my favorite pet to this day.
My most epic drop?.....Legacy...Running Karazhan every Thursday for six months..The Opera was NEVER Oz. I had that damned Sonic Spear on my back for almost a year. Never any upgrades and I was so sick of looking at the Sonic Spear I was getting ready to downgrade to another weapon just so I wouldn't have to look at it anymore.Every Thursday my guild would run Karazhan and the Opera was mandatory because everyone knew how bad I was wanting legacy. It was always R&J or Big Bad Wolf. Every thursday.....for six months..... no oz.Early one morning I saw a group PuGing for Karazhan and I hadn't run that week, so I threw my hat in as DPS. I told everyone in the raid my long search for Legacy and they couldn't believe my bad luck. How I've done Karazhan so much and still had yet to even SEE Oz. That must've been my lucky morning because for the first time..the curtains rose to Oz.. After so many runs with my guild, I already knew the routine of this fight as all three plays were explained before each boss. I can tell you... My Cat Memphis was biting a lot harder and my Hunter was shooting a lot faster that morning out of pure anger. After the Crone had died (and rather quickly, I might add) Our Raid leader checked the loot and sure enough...sat Legacy. My last Epic. The group congratulated me and I sat in my chair and cried. I made it a goal to get that damned weapon no matter what it took. Karazhan was a special place for me because it was the first raid our guild took on. I love the people in my guild deeply for they worked...and worked to get everyone gear out of that Raid. Dekota still wears Legacy to this day. It'll be hard to replace it. I'll never disenchant it. It'll forever sit in my bank as the Goal I Accomplished.That...is Dekota's Legacy.(P.S. Dekota did NOT have one piece of PvP gear in her lot. Everything was Karazhan, ZA, Gruul and Mags)

The day after I hit 80 on my main, I joined a PuG for Archavon. I play a prot pally, and was OTing the fight. The prot spec t7 pally pants drop, and I'm the only paladin in the raid. I was *stoked*. Level 80 for ~11 hours, and picked up my first piece of t7.
