A big, fat cauldron for your 10-man raid, providing guild-funded flasks that match their talent set-up. Tanks get Steelskin, spellcasters get Draconic Mind, etc. Note that it doesn't include some specialized flasks, like Flowing Water, which gives a big ol' Spirit boost -- I imagine that this was to give healers a choice on whether they wanted the SP boost or the Spirit boost. It is only usable if your guild has the Better Living Through Chemistry achievement.

I'm a bit disappointed it only has 7 charges, since that leaves 3 players out of luck, but it's still pretty damn convenient. Just make sure you keep with the mindframe that you have right now, bringing extra flasks for those who forget theirs.

Now, as for whether you should drink something that has 8 vials of Deathblood Venom in it...

A few questions that I haven't seen answered anywhere.

Are you able to place more than 1 cauldron at a time and then store any extra unused flasks in your bags? I'm aware these flasks are conjured and so will disappear if you log out for more than 15 mins.

Also, is the duration of these conjured flasks longer if you are an alchemist ? For example 3 hours if you are in guild with the level 10 guild perk and 4 hours with the level 22 guild perk.

The number of charges on these things seems awkward for the sake of being awkward. I don't see why they couldn't just make the cauldrons 10-25 charges and adjust the mats required to make them if needed.

Your one-stop-shop for info on Flask Cauldrons!

Once your guild earns the achievement Mix Master (now 1000 cataclysm-only flasks) you can purchase the recipe Recipe: Cauldron of Battle from a guild vendor if you have friendly reputation or higher with your guild.

Once your guild earns the achievement Better Leveling Through Chemistry (now 3000 cataclysm-only flasks) you can purchase the recipe Recipe: Big Cauldron of Battle from a guild vendor if you have friendly reputation or higher with your guild.

There are 3 Guild Perks that affect Cauldrons:

Chug-a-lug (rank 1) (50% longer flask duration, guild level 10)

Happy Hour (50% additional flasks, 7-->10 or 20-->30, guild level 20)

Chug-a-lug (rank 2) (100% longer flask duration, guild level 22, does NOT stack with Chug-a-lug (rank 1))

Still unsure if the Alchemy passive Mixology will stack with the guild perk Chug-a-lug -- it is possible that Alchemists will receive 3 or 4 hour flask durations.

Making a cauldron is always more efficient than drinking a normal flask. For Recipe: Cauldron of Battle you receive 7 flasks for the price of less than 5, as 8x Deathblood Venom is not as expensive as a flask. The larger version, Recipe: Big Cauldron of Battle is even more efficient, as it requires no deathblood venom, and you simply receive 20(30) flasks for 12 flasks.

Assuming your guild is level 22, you do 25-man raids, and you have unlocked Recipe: Big Cauldron of Battle with the achievement Better Leveling Through Chemistry , you will need 48% as many flasks as usual for everyone to be flasked up (12 flasks required for 25 people), and the flasks will last twice as long as normal, for a net flask-effectiveness of 416.67%, or alternatively a net flask-material-reduction of 76%.

Multiple cauldrons may be dropped at the same time, so as soon as you unlock Recipe: Cauldron of Battle for maximum material efficiency you should drop one cauldron in a 10-man raid, or 3 cauldrons in a 25-man raid, and have the people that miss out flask or elixir themselves normally.

Does anyone know if it's possible to procc one of these with one of the Alchemy Specializations? I'd suspect if it does it would be off elixir spec, but the old cauldrons contained pots. However I seriously doubt they can procc in the first place. Hope I'm wrong.

Edit: Made 20 as pot spec, guildie made 20 as elixir spec. May be bad luck but I'm going to say they don't procc at all.

Be aware that if you drink the conjured flask ...it transforms in one of the four used types of flasks according to your ROLE.
Role seem to be determined by highest stat.
As hybrid (e.g. druid) be aware that you need to be in bearform to get flask of steelskin and in feral form to get flask of the winds, if you are in human/moonkin/resto form you get the flask of draconic mind.

It really is a shame they are conjured. Would be great if they made them unlimited duration, but produces bind on pick up flasks so they cant be resold or something.

So, I was pretty excited when I first heard about these guild perk things. Cauldrons that gave everyone extended duration flasks? Nice! Useful feasts instead of just cheap ones? Sign me up!

Then you see the recipe on this one. Eight doses of venom. So basically, enough to kill several large horses, all going into the huge pot your guildies are going to drink out of.

But hey, I forgot about that once we finally got the fishing achievement last week and got our Seafood Magnifique Feast. I thought 'there's no poison in that, how can it go wrong?' Well, I found out. It's a big bucket of brine with a raw lobster in it.

Someone on the dev team really doesn't like the players. 'What am I going to feed those jerks this expansion? A ton of poison, some brine, and a raw lobster. Eat up.'

Looks like in 4.3 they will be come Bind to Battle.net account so you will be able to mail them to your mains once you craft them. Though you will still need to be Friendly with the guild to place them.

If you're out farming to make these cauldrons and need a shopping list, the raw materials are below:

32x Volatile Life
16x Cinderbloom
16x Twilight Jasmine
16x Azshara's Veil
16x Whiptail
8x Stormvine
8x Crystal Vial

With these Herbs you can create one of each Flask of Steelskin, Flask of the Draconic Mind, Flask of the Winds, and Flask of Titanic Strength as well as 8 Deathblood Venom which of course you can combine into one cauldron.
