Don't use the weapon, i just found out the fallen hero of the horde has an option to give u a Fel Salve in case you destroy your weapons. I didn't destroy my weapon, but he gave me the fel salve anyways, and its better than the weapons! read on

"this item is better than the weapons we get for this quest. It doesn't have an equip cooldown, where u have to wait 30 seconds after equipping it before you can use it. it also doesn't have a 10 minute cooldown like the weapons do once used! so u can use this more than once in a single fight, which they don't let you do with the weapon, and since the debuff doesn't last very long, its a lot more useful than the damn weapons. now u can use your regular weapon and not take a hit to your stats, and get extra debuff. I don't know why everyone doesn't think of this! get it by talking to the fallen hero of the horde, once u have gotten the weapon. he has an option where u can tell him you destroyed your Azsharite weapon, and hell give you this potion

sure most of u noticed the weapon rewards from this quest r considered "lvl 60" by blizz thus making them eligable (spelling?) for Executioner enchant from Zul' Aman at the 49 bracket. but the pure loss of NO STATS and no special bonuses does not make it worth the -840 armor. u can achieve much more from stats and DPS

This is a quest in a chain of 23 that runs pretty much all over the map.
However, it all starts with the Fallen Hero of the Horde.
(Hat tip to Xeir for the initial connectors between chains.)

Technically, it's four chain quests that tie into each other:
Chain 1:

Chain 2:

Chain 3:

5. Breaking the Ward

9. Azsharite

Chain 4:
1. The Formation of Felbane
2. Enchanted Azsharite Fel Weaponry
3. Return to the Blasted Lands
4. Uniting the Shattered Amulet
5. You Are Rakh'likh, Demon

Completing the entire chain gives you the following:
103,685XP at appropriate level
Shard of Afrasa
Enchanted Azsharite Felbane (Dagger, Sword or Staff)
Necklace of Sanctuary
Demon's Blood
Demon Hide Sack

i THINK, alliance 49 twinks can get these rewards too even tho they can't get http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2783 becuae it requires 50, BUT, they can get someone higher than 50 to get the next step of the quest http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2801 to SHARE it. notice how the second step(http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=2801) of the quest chain only requires level 45 and is "Sharable".

Counting only the XP awarded from turning in quests, and not gained by exploring and killing monsters, you will gain 113,675 XP on your way to these weapons. If you want to make a 49 twink with WotLK enchants, begin this quest as early as possible (level 45) to avoid leveling past 50.

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Wait for Galvan to finish forging the weaponry.
