You get the work order quests from a post which replaces Farmer Yoon after he goes to join the tillers council.

To help him along, you need to talk to Nana Mudclaw and complete the Inherit the Earth after you have opened all 16 plots and become exalted with the Tillers.

Once you complete the quest will also now a book the house on the farm allowing you to set it as your home location.

FYI: From Blizzard's knowledge base: "Work Orders from a particular faction will only appear once you have met that faction and its reputation bar appears in your character's reputation panel."

Its not a question of only 'meeting' the faction for their work order to be available.

You have to do, if applicable, all their quests untill you unlock the dailies.

Not untill then will their work order appear on the pole.

I have confirmed that the Shado-Pan and August Celestial work orders won't appear until you're revered with the Golden Lotus faction. Proof: at honored and one second later, using an insignia to get to revered.

Been doing the AC/SP work orders since 5.2, and now I'm roughly 19000/21000 for both factions, and the quest to plant the seeds have stopped popping up. Does anyone know if you can do just these quests to get a rep to exalted?

Edit: You can get to exalted just doing these quests. Maybe it was a bug they fixed during a patch.

If you get a Bursting Green Cabbage when you are completing part I, you have a choice to make: harvest it immediately, or wait until the next farming day when everything is ready to harvest. If you harvest it immediately, it won't count for the follow-up quest, and unless you re-plant immediately after harvesting, you will be one Green Cabbage short the next day and won't be able to complete Part II until you harvest another Green Cabbage. Since there isn't any point in harvesting it right away, my advice is wait until the next farming day when the rest of the crop is ready too.

As of 5.3 at least it appears you don't need factions at revered or even honoured (Australian spelling... inb4:) as long as they are visible as reputation bars in your interface.

I'm neutral with Dominance Offensive and August Celestials and friendly with Golden Lotus and Shado-Pan and honoured with Klaxxi but I have all their work orders up and available after recruiting Farmer Yoon to the Tiller's Union.

Although it's not documented, Blizzard has now undone the changes made in a March 7, 2013 hotfix:

The way to obtain Work Order quests on the Sunsong Ranch farm has changed. The quests will be given while harvesting crops, or by interacting with the drop-off crate.

Now, instead of starting with the Empty Crate or waiting until the crops are harvested, the Part II quest is automatically accepted as soon as the Part 1 quest completes. That happens as soon as you plant enough crops and was the way these quests originally worked. Apparently due to an attempt to make it idiot-proof, it isn't even possible to avoid accepting Part II once you complete Part 1. (The window offering the quest opens automatically, there is no "Decline" button, and the "X" button to close the window is grayed out. I don't know if that part was true before March 7.) You won't see a blue exclamation point on the crate the second day because you will have already accepted the quest the first day. The exception is if you just completed the same Part II on the same day. In that case, you won't be offered the quest until the next day.

It still is possible to abandon the Part II quest and pick it up later. If you abandon the quest, the blue "!" will appear above the Empty Crate. You can pick up the quest by clicking on the box, but again, you can't decline it once the window opens.

Here is a list of what you would need to buy/plant/harvest for each faction in the daily "Work Order:" quests.

Be sure to ask Jogu the Drunk which crop to plant/will be producing extra the next day. Doing so gives you the knowledge so you can yield some extra veggies in addition to the ones you use in completing these quests.
