Possibly a reference to The game/book/tv-series: The Witcher, were "Witchers" were using a silverblade to kill monsters and a Iron sword to kill humans.

The mob you must kill is The Lone Hunter. A ghost wolf that can be tamed. Respawn time is short, less than 5 minutes.

Simple quest. Follow up the mountains and to the top, if so, you'll see a white skull on your navigation at the top right corner and it'll show you where The Lone Hunter is and you just kill him, loot him, and get Joseph's Hunting Blade and return back to the little girl.

There seems to be some kind of drain effect there. Even after I killed the wolf, my hit points kept going down. During the battle, I had to keep healing myself between strikes.

What level do you have to be to solo this Quest, my 41 Fire Mage keeps getting killed...
Any special moves I need to do to kill the beast ?
Or do I need to just level up for a few levels to solo ...?

Recently did this quest on my Monk hoping to get the shoulders. Upon hand-in I realized that I would receive no item for completing this quest.
Completing the quest did, however, unlock the appearance for transmog.

If you are doing this questline, even though it has changed a bit from its original version, its still one of the most powerful stories in WoW. Here is a video of a song Cranius made about the quest-line (this is not my song or video, this is not another one of those posts trying to boost someone's youtube hit count) - Its really well done and every wow player owes it to themselves to watch it :) It really makes me long for my days in Vanilla WoW.

"Carnivorous bite" ability is brutal and stacks. He can definitely kill you if you're not careful.

The Lone Hunter applies a bleed effect.
So do what you can to minimise the number of hits you take and heal up immediately after the fight.

Description

My daddy always kept two swords: one for fighting with men, and one for hunting the animals. I wasn't supposed to touch his swords, but I knew where he hid them.

One day, he told my mommy that he was going to fight a "lone hunter" in the hills to the east, but he brought his animal sword with him! When he came back, he didn't have his sword with him.

When daddy comes back, he'll be so happy when I give him his animal sword! Will you go and find it?
