Honestly, one of the quest i enjoyed most in 6 years of WoW, simple as it is. And let's face it, the way she just shoots a worgen here and there like it's nothing is badass.

Just did this. It. Was. AWESOME. I wish there was some way to go back and watch such cutscenes after you've done the quest. This is the 3rd or 4th one so far in the Forsaken questlines that I've gotten a cool cutscene like this. This was right after Agatha picked me up and flew me to safety at the Forsaken High Command.

Sylvanas, after this quest, I love you even more. My life for the Banshee Queen! (in character, anyway)

Quest Lordaeron

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner says:

I have not always been the Banshee Queen.
And my peopel have not always been the forsaken.
Long ago this land comprised the northern kingdoms of Lordaeron, ruled by King Terenas Menethil.
Terenas had a son named Arthas.
Arthas... even saying his name makes my body quiver in rage.
This man-child, Arthas, took for himself a cursed blade known as Frostmourne.
Through Frostmourne, arthas killed his own father and razed this land along with every living creature in it!
My own death came at the hands of Arthas when he and his armies sacked my homeland, Quel'Thalas, and murdered my people.
In his vast cruelty, Arthas severed my spirit from my body and raised me as a banshee to serve in his Scourage army.
A similar fate befell all that would die to the Scourage war machine.
In death, they were reborn as mindless undead.
But Arthas was not invincible! With each passing day his power waned-his grip over the will of the damned loosening.
It was when Arthas was at his weakest that I struck!
and though the hour of his atonement had come, the worm managed to escape his fate, returning to the frozen wastes of Northrend.
With Arthas gone, so too was the control he held over the undead masses of Lordaeron. After recovering my body, I freed the remaining Scourage that were left behind.
From the cruelty and mercilessness of Arthas, the man who would be the Lich King, the Forsaken were born.
Our goal... Our sole purpose was to destroy the Lich King. We threw our lot in with the Horde and began our journey towards redemption.
Now the Lich King is ead and we have returned.
The peopel who called this land their home in life, do so in death as well.
But the alliance does not recognize our rights. They claim this land is their own while attempting to invalidate the claims of the founders of this kingdom.
I will never allow it.... Never!
Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken - always and forever.

Don't skip the cinematic, it will just dismount you and leave the quest incomplete.

Loooved this quest - sure beats the 'go collect 4 million lion's teeth' style quests xD

For the record, if you skip the cinematic (I only did cause I got dragged into a dungeon after a typical DPS queue), you can abandon and retake it - otherwise, Sylvanas won't be in either the Sepulcher, or the Forsaken High Command.

Just thought I'd point it out.

This quest is the closest to Warcraft III storytelling we may ever get. Pure win.

It sounds and feels absolutely awesome, even if lorewise it's against all that I stand for, as a die-hard Lordaeron human supporter. :P

Amusing note: You still gain discovery XP for all the areas you run through during the cutscene. Right in the middle of the path up to the Sepulcher, I dinged off this quest XP.

If you skip the cinematic (and therefor do not complete the quest), and then arrive in The Sepulcher, the interactive NPCs will not appear. You must abandon the quest for the NPCs to appear in the town.

Someone once said in the wow forums that "the Alliance should reclaim Lordaeron"... I think Lady Sylvanas stated this very well in this quest as to whom Lordaeron belongs too... "The people who called this land their home in life, do so in death as well. But the alliance does not recognize our rights. They claim this land is their own while attempting to invalidate the claims of the founders of this kingdom. I will never allow it.... Never! Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken - always and forever." ...amusingly someone replied to the forum post and said, "pffft, how could they ever expect to take such a Horde capital when it took the Alliance 5 years to finish the bridge in Lakeshire lol"... too true

I just completed this quest for the first time as a Pandaren and the riding cinematic had some problems -- Sylvanas' mount mounted the other mount! If you run into the same problem, check out the link at: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=27098#comments:id=1190106 that Nomzy posted.

Just some storyline that I also wrote on Wowiki, shared here:

Lord Crowley can be seen recruiting humans to join the Worgen side to fight against the Forsaken in the Horde questline, "No Escape". He gives them a blood offering, which changes the every human inside Lordaeron into worgen and sets them against the Forsaken in Silverpine Forest. Sylvanas asks the Horde players to attack and try to regain control of the land but is pushed back too far. Feeling like she underestimated Crowley, Sylvanas asks the Horde player to go to Deathstalker Commander Belmont in Gilneas (phased) to attack the Worgen.

If you're like me and like to kneel before Sylvanas when turning a quest in (I was playing Forsaken, okay?) it'll mess up the mounting part and thus freeze the cutscene. So... don't do that.
