Beware, she attacks really really fast. Lots of interrupts. I tried 3 times with a 25 frost mage, didn't even make a dent in her.

This worked great for me -- move in fast and close while hitting her. Keep moving around her in close while hitting her. She can't concentrate her spell when you keep moving, and eventually you'll have her. Good luck!

She interrupted EVERY spell on my 24 Fire Mage. used a combo of fire blast and frost nova and other instant spells. Killed her fine the first try but was very annoying

On my level 19 Druid, she was quite easy without any heirlooms or jewelry, I kept Moonfire for DoT and Rejuvenation for HoT up (both instant casts), and also Thorns for extra damage. If you cast Wrath just after a knock-back attack from her, it should be just enough time to cast it (2.5 sec cast time). She died in 30 seconds.

Any healing class should be fine imo:

If using the same strategy, Priests could use Shadow Word: Pain for DoT, Renew for HoT, and the occasional Holy Fire or Smite.

Shamans might want to wait until level 20 for this, since Healing Wave have 3 sec cast time, and at level 20 you get both Healing Surge (1.5 sec cast time) and Healing Stream Totem. Other than that, you could use Flame Shock and Searing Totem for DoT, and also shield, weapon imbue and other totem(s).

As for Paladins, Flash of Light (1.5 sec cast time) for heals, or if it works use Hammer of Justice and then Holy Light for a cheap heal if running low on mana. Crusader Strike and Judgement for damage, and also aura and seal.

When Ruuzel used her "death grip" ability that pulled my mage to her, it caused my character to fall through the ground and die in the "water" beneath the zone's geometry. That's a powerful attack!

Good advice by Twizm above. This NPC is very annoying because she constantly interrupts your spells, constantly kicks you out of the way which can run you into NCPs that weren't even originally that close by if you're not careful (think princess at the end of Maraudon, pre-cataclysm), and if you try to run off, she pulls you back in with death grip from quite some distance away.

My advice: kill NPCs around her area before approaching her (careful not to agro her in the process though). As a priest, instant spells like shadow word: pain and holy word: chastise worked for me as far as killing her, and running back up to the platform when she kicked me out of the way as to stay out of reach of NPCs. I don't think I ever had enough time to cast anything on her that wasn't instant.

Lvl 21 Mage here and I had quite a bit of problem killing this one. After dying twice, I decided to follow some advice posted here and killed all of the NPC around the island. I then killed Ruuzel, only to die at the hands of a crab! LOL

I did get back and claimed the ring.....

Don't know what the big problem is here. L24 Frost Mage 4 Frost Bolts, a Frostfire and then a Fire Blast did her in after freezing with minion and a few waterbolts from him. Would recommend clearing the island first, they will swarm.
Best way to get there is go up the coast to the East and then swim to island.

As a lvl 79 feral druid, I found myself killing her as many times as she killed me before (5) and doing a little sweet revenge dance in my seat

Obtain the Ring of Zoram.

Description

I fear the ancient statuette's secrets will remain forever hidden unless you find the key to their ancient locks.

That key is a ring, the Ring of Zoram. It belonged to the rulers of this city before the waves of the Sundering drowned it.

For years the ring was lost, but the naga have recently found it.

Their leader, Ruuzel, dwells on her isle on the northern edge of the Zoram Strand. Please, <name>, retrieve the ring for me!
