The whiskey is on the first lifeboat to the right as you exit the Admiral's Cabin. The rope is a under the second light on the right side.

The rope I found just on the main deck, and I saw another one on the bow of the ship. The bottle of whiskey, like others said, is on the lifeboat to the right when you leave the Admirals Cabin

I'm surprised that no one has noted this quest name & rewards are based off of Murder City Devils songs (Midnight Service at the Mutter Museum, Idle Hands, Press Gang) and lyrics. Plus the singer of the band is named Spencer Moody.

This quest is packed full of references the defunct punk band Murder City Devils ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_City_Devils )

I saw the rum on the cabin below the admiral's cabin. go down one level and search through the table. I found the rope right in the main deck, beside the mechanisms that use roap :) Some screenshots here for those still confused: http://www.wowstability.com/without-a-captain-or-crew/

I cannot believe no one has pointed out what an amazing badass this guy is yet.

Stabbed, left for dead, made his way to the wheel, and is steering the ship with blood pouring out of him.

We need him back in the future. Don't let this valiant hero go to waste blizz!

If you can't find the ship:

1. Go to where the Quest Tracker guides you
2. Fly a bit up in the air
3. Go to video settings and turn view distance to either "Good" or "High"
4. Look around you'll see the ship immediately

Rope Location:

I was able to locate the rope twice on the ship (there could be more locations)

The first one is right in front of you, when you ascend the stairs from below deck (it's near some sort of turning lever)

The second one is right from the first one (that is if you come from below deck), near the lamppost

Bottle of Whiskey Location:

I found the bottle three times (I think that's all of them)

The first one is on the right (when you exit the chamber where you got the Quest) on edge of a life boat.

The second can be found behind the left spool of rope (Point of view: Exiting Quest giver's chamber)

The third one is located on the lower deck, in a room where all the supplies are stored. It's placed upon a table.

For some reason I had the materials but never went to hand it in, couldn't see the ? question mark on the map since it was so high in the air...

Just head Up to the ship and it'll appear.

A turn-in ? for this quest shows up on the map of Valley of Lost Hope in Icecrown for some reason. The quest can't be turned in there.

Description

Not sure who you're with, but you don't look like one of... them.

I'm not sure what happened. I slept through supper and woke up to a ship full of dead people and murderers.

Not sure if you want to kill me or not, but I'll spare you the trouble.

<Moody points to a wound in his stomach. His insides are not where they should be.>

I can keep steering the ship for a while longer. You don't die from a gut wound immediately. Just bring me some rope and some rum... no, whiskey.
