This is driving me crazy, but is there a quest similar to this, in that you sit down in a cart and you actually go for a ride longer than a few seconds? It's not the one in Twilight Highlands, I was thinking it would have been in Burning Crusade, possibly before. I have no clue anymore, as I've done all the Loremaster achievements. But, if someone could help me in maybe figuring out what the quest was/is, I would appreciate it!

Yes, I hopped in the cart, it moved a few feet, them *boom*, it and my buddies are gone! ;-( Hope I can still finish quest by climbing down the mountain! <Sigh>

Indeed, at the moment there is no real ride, what is supposed to happen at the end happens pretty much instantly. You can however, move down the railtrack (at the gap you do need Rocket Jump otherwise you have to drop down and engage more) and avoid all but one or two mobs till the quest turnin.

I encountered an issue where after reaching the end of the track, the next part of the quest didn't phase in and I could not speak with Assistant Greely to turn in. A simple relog fixed this.

The tarp behind where the "ride" ends has charred outlines of goblins — representing where your group got explosively launched out and bounced off the "wall".

As of BFA 8.0.1, the quest is still incredibly bugged.

I've had the issue where the mine cart would hit the bombs, however, the cart would continue to fidget and allow me to move the cart in different directions. When I did do this, I'd be pulled back to where the cart was designated to be. There was no explosion.

The best solution I found to this bug was abandoning the quest, relogging, and running all the way back up the hill multiple times to get the quest once more and pray that it would work this time. (The most recent amount of times I've had to repeat this process was at least 3.)

If you go to the quest on an heirloom bike, you MUST get off of the bike before grabbing it, or the quest will NOT be functional.

After trying at least a dozen abandon/relog/turnoff addons/hearth and run back attempts and waiting for a ticket that did not get answered in its "average wait time".. this is what worked for me. Do not abandon the quest when it does not complete, run back to the top and talk to the cart again and do the ride over.

As of 9.1 this quest is still just a little bugged for me. The cart will make it to the end of the track, but will sort of stutter in mid-air before it can hit the bombs. When this happened I was able to control the direction of the cart and one of two things could happen:

If you move away from the pile of bombs the cart will retract back to the start of the track up the hill and the scenario will repeat.
If you move toward and on top of the bomb pile, it will trigger the explosion and quest completion.

Not sure how helpful this will be to anyone else, it might be on a case-by-case basis while this is still bugged. I was stuck here for a few days, but since you can "move" at the pile of explosives at the end of the railway, I tried doing a few things. Eventually, I tried "backpeddling" - pressing the movement key that makes you go backwards. After the cart jumped in place for a few moments, the explosives finally activated and the quest completed.
So to anyone stuck here, try the same - backpeddling. Hope it works!

Use the Mine Cart to take a ride to the end of the line and then speak with Assistant Greely.
