Sif is only present in the Thorim encounter until 3 minutes after entering the gauntlet. If you seek a Thorim Hard Mode win, you must engage Thorim and get him to enter the arena before this time. As of 3.1.1, Sif's attacks are (source):

Thorim - Sif's Frostbolt Volley now inflicts 11250 to 13750 damage. (Up from 9000 to 11000)
Thorim - Sif's Frost Nova now inflicts 14138 to 15862 damage. (Up from 9425 to 10575)

Sif serves two purposes during the Thorim encounter.

1) If she is allowed to channel for 3 minutes before Thorim is engaged (beginning after the arena skirmishers are defeated), she will debuff him with Touch of Dominion and vanish, this is easy mode.

2) If Thorim is engaged before her channel is complete, Thorim will not be debuffed and Sif will join him in her attacks on the raid. She is untargettable and has 5 abilities: Blizzard, Blink, Frost Nova, Frostbolt and Frostbolt Volley. Generally, she will Blink close to a random player and immediately cast Frost Nova. She will chain-cast Frostbolts onto random players (any threat is meaningless). Frostbolt volley is used around every 20 seconds or so and hits everyone in the arena. Finally, she will spawn blizzards at a location at the edges of the arena that will track around the outside.

When Thorim is defeated while Sif is present, it is revealed that she is a corrupting influence summoned by Yogg-Saron, not Sif herself (who is dead).

There is a situation where Sif does not despawn after defeating Thorim. This happened to me while soloing achievements and I kited Thorim into the gauntlet corridor where I defeated him. In this case I was stuck with an untargetable Sif who kept me in combat, so the teleporters could not be used.

The way I was able to escape was to use The Last Relic of Argus. Although she does keep interrupting you, just keep clicking on it - eventually you'll get enough of a break to escape. Took me about 20 tries.

Overview – Thorim calls in Dark Rune forces to engage players that are in the Arena until allies are able to reach Thorim by traveling through the Hallway. Once players reach Thorim he will leap into the arena and use powerful Lightning attacks to defeat his foes.
- Damage Dealers –
  While in the Arena interrupt the Dark Rune Acolyte's [Greater Heal] and the [Runic Mending] cast by Dark Rune Evokers.
  Avoid Thorim's [Lightning Charge] once Stage Two begins.
  While in the Hallway avoid[Runic Smash] cast by the Runic Colossus.
- Healers –
  Avoid Thorim's [Lightning Charge] once Stage Two begins.
- Tanks –
  Avoid Thorim's [Lightning Charge] once Stage Two begins.
  While in the Hallway avoid[Runic Smash] cast by the Runic Colossus.
  While in the Hallway avoid[Smash] cast by the Runic Colossus once it is engaged.
  Take turns tanking Thorim to manage [Unbalancing Strike].

Stage One: Prove Your Worth

Thorim calls in Dark Rune forces to engage players that are in the Arena until allies are able to reach Thorim by traveling through the Hallway.

Thorim
- Stormhammer – Throws a stormhammer, dealing 335 damage to an enemy, knocking down and stunning the target for 2 sec, and causing a deafening thunderclap to all enemies nearby the target.
- Deafening Thunder – Inflicts 669 Nature damage to enemies standing in close proximity to a Stormhammer strike, increasing spell casting times by 75% for 8 sec.
- Charge Orb – Charges a nearby orb with electricity.
The Arena
- Dark Rune Acolyte
  - Renew – Heals a friendly target for 1929 per 3 sec. for 15 sec.
  - Greater Heal – Calls upon Holy magic to heal an ally.
  - Holy Smite – Smites an enemy, inflicting 1137 Holy damage.
- Dark Rune Champion
  - Mortal Strike – Inflicts 250% weapon damage and leaves the target wounded, reducing the effectiveness of any healing by 50% for 5 sec.
  - Whirlwind – Attacks nearby enemies in a whirlwind of steel that lasts 2 sec. and inflicts additional damage.
  - Charge – Charges an enemy, inflicting damage and stunning the opponent for 2 sec.
- Dark Rune Commoner
  - Pummel – Pummels an enemy interrupting the spell being cast for 5 sec.
  - Low Blow – Lands a cheap shot on an enemy, inflicting Physical damage and reducing the target's damage dealt by 3% for 20 sec.
- Dark Rune Evoker
  - Runic Lightning – Strikes an enemy with a blast of runic lightning, inflicting 1204 Nature damage.
  - Runic Mending – Heals an ally for 2755, then heals for an additional 827 every 1 sec. for 15 sec.
  - Runic Shield – Surrounds the caster with a runic barrier, absorbing 16532 magical damage and reducing all Physical damage taken by 50%.
- Dark Rune Warbringer
  - Aura of Celerity – Increases nearby allies' melee, ranged, and casting speed by 20%.
  - Runic Strike – Strikes at an enemy with an electrified weapon, inflicting Nature damage equal to weapon damage plus 134.
The Hallway
- Iron Ring Guard
  - Impale – Deals a vicious attack that causes the target to bleed profusely until healed past 90% of its maximum health. Deals 234 damage every 2 sec. for 1 min or until removed via healing.
  - Whirling Trip – Attacks the target with a spinning strike, knocking down and stunning them for 2 sec and inflicting increased weapon damage.
- Dark Rune Acolyte
  - Renew – Heals a friendly target for 1929 per 3 sec. for 15 sec.
  - Greater Heal – Calls upon Holy magic to heal an ally.
  - Holy Smite – Smites an enemy, inflicting 1137 Holy damage.
- Runic Colossus
  - Runic Smash – Deals 1338 Fire damage to nearby enemies.
  - Smash – Deals 5352 Physical damage to all enemies within a 10 yard cone in front of the caster.
  - Runic Barrier – A shield of runic power surrounds the caster, reducing all damage taken by 50% and inflicting 268 Arcane damage to attackers.
  - Charge – Charges an enemy, inflicting 669 Physical damage and knocking the enemy back.
- Iron Honor Guard
  - Hamstring – Inflicts 50% weapon damage to an enemy, reducing its movement speed by 60% for 5 sec.
  - Shield Smash – Inflicts 1070 Physical damage to an enemy, stunning it for 3 sec.
  - Cleave – Inflicts 150% of normal melee damage to an enemy and its nearest ally.
- Ancient Rune Giant
  - Runic Fortification – Fortifies nearby allies.
  - Stomp – Inflicts 1271 Physical damage to nearby enemies and knocks them back.
  - Rune Detonation – Immobilizes a target with a runic ward that detonates after 4 sec to inflict 1673 Fire damage around the target.

Stage Two: Keeper of Storms

Thorim
- Chain Lightning – Strikes an enemy with a blast of lightning that inflicts 1472 Nature damage. The bolt will arc to additional nearby enemies, inflicting 100% more Nature damage to each successive target.
- Lightning Charge – Absorbs a torrent of electrical energy, inflicting Nature damage to enemies in a cone between the caster and the power source, and increasing the caster's melee damage and attack speed by 15%, and Nature damage dealt by 10%.
- Unbalancing Strike – Inflicts 200% weapon damage and leaves the target unbalanced, increasing damage taken by 50%.

Hard Mode

If players traverse the Hallway quick enough and reach Thorim within 90 seconds Sif will join the battle in Stage Two.

Sif
- Frostbolt Volley – Inflicts Frost damage to nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed for 4 sec.
- Frost Nova – Inflicts 1004 Frost damage to nearby enemies, immobilizing them for up to 6 sec.
- Blizzard – A rain of ice moves around the room, dealing 335 Frost damage every 1 sec. for 10 sec.
