Nothing else. Only the game itself and community sites. I love reading but there just aren't enough hours in the day to get in-game stuff sorted and live my life as it is. Extra related stuff just complicates things. >.<
I don't have a single item related to WoW or Warcraft outside the actual game World of Warcraft with expansions. Nor do I have any interest in obtaining any such things. Hell, I don't even crave the collectors edition releases of the games that so many obsess about.I play the game, have fun, that's it. The rest... meh, what's the point?
i buy the tcg packs for the loot cards and so i can sometimes play the game at my local card shop
Wow, (lol), can't believe no one has their toon in a glass bubble.I guess if one were to put a price on how much of a "WOW" geek/junkie one is then I might be in the lead.Upon purchasing the Wow laptop a plethora of items came with it including the sculptured figure print, sound track, multiple books, Wow backpack, 2 starter card games, posters, Alliance T-shirt, mouse pad, Dvd, Warcraft gameset, and more. The laptop in itself is awesome, (the fiance has that) but I love my pre-Wotlk T-6 prot warrior the most. The artwork is incredible to say the least. I'd say if anyone is in the market for a high-end laptop check it out.
I'm not into playing the TCG but do collect the cards when I can for the artwork and to see if by chance I could get some of the redemption stuff. (have gotten footsteps of illidan (sp?) and slashdance so far) Have one of the "Murloco Taco" shirts (LOVE IT), the WotLK Collector edition. Want to get a couple of class ones for myself and my husband who also plays. I've looked at the graphic novels and they do look nice but I'm not into them enough to buy just yet. We are also pondering one of the Figureprint statues maybe at Christmas this year.Plushie murloc? Where? I love the murlocs (until they kill me at lower levels). I just want to see a good Gorloc item now.
The WoW Comic are really good. I have bought everyone so far (Once a month I lose 3 bucks, big whoop)The WoW TCG is probably the single greatest TCG on the market right now. Its major flaw would have to be loot cards. I buy the cards to play the TCG. If I happen to bump into a loot card, I put it on eBay. When I did play the WoW MMO, I think I only used one loot card and it was for a Tabard of Flames. The reason i say that the loot cards ruin the TCG is because that is the only reason people tend to buy the pack. I am lucky enough to live a block away from a gaming store and he carried the WoW TCG from Heroes of Azeroth to Drums of War. Me and another guy buy the cards and actually play (Between the two of us, we have probably opened every loot card at least twice) while 7 other guys buy boxes upon boxes of cards just to get the loot. (They even go as far as throwing out/ripping up any non-loot cards they get) I am even willing to teach others to play, but they have no free time. (What with WoW being their life and all ... )Upper Deck is also currently in a legal suit about Yugioh (I never played it, just bring it up) and will probably lose its license to distribute cards for yugioh. They will be either picked back up by Konami, or dropped entirely. So this could well be the fate of the WoW TCG. Its player base is WAY to small (I look at deck lists made by world champs and IMHO, I have no idea how they won ... There aren't any good players who are World Champs and most of them play once and are done) and loot cards make sets REALLY expensive. ($8-10 per pack of Fires of Outlands because of the Spectral Tiger. I don't care about the tiger mount, I just want more Timbermaw Ally and Slows for my mage deck.)~Zuty
I've been reading up on the books/comics lately.
