Something I may have just missed over the course of these updates: Will we have to pick and choose between buildings? For instance, can I only have the Alchemy Lab OR the Engineering Works?Or will there be enough room in each garrison to make one of everything?
There won't be enough room to make one of everything. From my PAX East interview:And there's lots of hard choices - you can't have every building, you can't have every follower, and they all have different capabilities and different things that may work well with your character, or -not- well with your character, depending on your class, your play-style, your specialization, etc... im a bit dissapointed that blizzard mainly only showed the alliance look of the garrison.really wonder how horde buildings might look like.
im a bit dissapointed that blizzard mainly only showed the alliance look of the garrison.really wonder how horde buildings might look like.well we do know they are going to be orc based.
please don't screw the horde over and give us ugly garrisons just because we're horde. its not fair. let us pick what the land looks like, wtb grass and trees, not rocks and dirt.
Something I may have just missed over the course of these updates: Will we have to pick and choose between buildings? For instance, can I only have the Alchemy Lab OR the Engineering Works?Or will there be enough room in each garrison to make one of everything?Latest I've seen is you're going to have 3 Large plots, 3 Medium plots, and 4 Small plots. I believe those sizes correspond to the three levels of the buildings. So you'll only have three maxed-out buildings (which provide the specializations that you can use while out questing--they WON'T work in raids), three middling buildings (which have a bit more capacity and maybe a quest giver or other perks), and four small buildings (which provide basic services). It LOOKS like you'll have a basic farm, mine, fish pond, and pet menagerie, as well. All subject to change, mind you.
Looks promising and fun, as long as they implement it correctly. It's not something that I'm particularly looking forward to, but hopefully I (and everyone else) will be pleasantly surprised and it'll add a new dynamic to our beloved game.
Setting ilvl restrictions on LFG? interesting...
Yeah, from the old garrison post:Small: Small Plot 1, Small Plot 2, Small Plot 3, Small Plot 4Medium: Medium Plot 1, Medium Plot 2, Medium Plot 3Large: Large Plot 1, Large Plot 2, Large Plot 3MineFarmFishing HutPet Menagerie
Just wish we could have a throne room (a la Civilization 2). :-)
I wasn't much excited for garrisons previously, but after seeing all these posts I think I'm warming up to them.
Heya, Perculia. Unsure if this was added in the past, but found followers in the databaseFollower: Shadow Hunter RalaFollower: MulverickFollower: LokraFollower: Weaponsmith Na'Shra
Just noticed the list of buildings. It was a LOT different than I had expected. The size of the plot depends on what the building DOES, rather than how upgraded the building IS... So you can upgrade ALL of your buildings (those you can find plots for or have free spaces), and not have to decide what focus you want.MUCH cooler.Free buildings: Fishing shack, Herb Garden, Mine, Pet MenagerieSmall plots (select 4): Alchemy Lab, Enchanter's Study, Engineering Works, Gem Boutique, Salvage Yard, Scribe's Quarters, Storehouse, Tailoring Emporium, The Forge, and The TanneryMedium plots (select 3): Barn, Inn, Lumber Mill, Sparring Arena, Trading PostLarge plots (select 3): Armory, Barracks, Mage Tower, Stables, WorkshopNo idea what the workshop or sparring arena do yet. And I'm pretty sure the Lumber Mill will see some use, up until you want that third Medium plot for something else.
This is the main reason im back to WoW, love this type of game and passive gains, while also having a nice house!
LAME architecture. I want night elf or gnome, not human
Thanks for the follower list! I'll probably be doing a Garrison guide/summary post soon, but I included them in this post too since it might get linked around with the Building database announcement.
Too soon to know what the Workshop or Sparring Arena do?
I like the fact one cannot max out everything or recruit every follower. When everything is available, nothing is important.
ya somos dos, para ser honesto eso me parecía una porquería pero ahora como que me esta emocionando
I hope we get followers of all different races
