Have hunter pets been fixed with their aggro issues yet?
LOL @ One with Nature while at MC
Giving a heads up that I added additional details about changes to Heroic Norushen that went out an hour after the initial hotfix blog got updated. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/10932273/#sep23Raids, Dungeons, and ScenariosSiege of OrgrimmarNorushenA number of changes have been made to Norushen on Heroic difficulty.
I am having no aggro problems with my pet as BM. In fact, my pet seems to hold aggro without growl whereas before 5.4 I would steal aggro very quickly. Seems my pet is doing so much damage he's the main target now. I haven't had to use growl much at all!Still nothing about bugged loot on Huolon. It's only happened to me 4 times at this point and I hear that Blizz is just shooting out generic responses at this point like they have no intention on rectifying it!
Nice to see a frost mage buff. I was developing a complex.
Thanks, added the Norushen changes in :)
Shadow Word: Pain's damage has been reduced by 15%.Srsly...?
Lets do a bit of math: SW:P was "100%" in 5.3, with 5.4 increasing it by 25%, making it 125%. They now nerfed that 125% by 15%. When the math is done it equals a 18.75% loss, which makes it 106.25% from 5.3. Wow, just a 6.25% buff now from 5.3. Its now back to being only a bit spell used while running around where you can't cast. I used it this patch as a legit soloing spell used in rotation, but now its just back to filler. You might as well use Smite for more damage and much less mana in the time it takes to run off its cooldown.
my spriest saw no raise in dps with 5.4 considering the notes made it sound like we where being brought into line with other dps and now I am loosing 15% we already are one of the lowest. am I missing something my GS is around 540 and I am lucky to get 100k
What's Rygarius?
Finally a buff for fury. warriors should be out dpsing those 3 button pushing mages and locks
Shadow Word: Pain's damage has been reduced by 15%.COME ON THIS IS RUBBISH
Regarding pet tanking, I have had no issues myself. My turtle is holding aggro on pretty much everything. Over an extended fight, like Houlon, I'll end up pulling off him but it hasn't been unmanageable. I don't have my cloak yet (have been lazy) so I am not killing the stronger elites further up the mountain most of the time, and I'm not sure if it will have the same effect. I know that there are certain elite mobs (throughout the game) that are immune to taunt by my pet, like the warbringers, as a matter of design rather than as a bug. With their resistance to AOE, pet tanks can trivialize some rare fights that are meant to be challenging or for groups, and I think Blizzard wants to keep that from happening with certain mobs.If you're having issues with major abilities from these mobs, try deterrence with the glyph that reflects the damage back at them (those elementals will routinely kill themselves on my deterrence), feigning death when they are mid cast so it interrupts it, using countershot and scatter shot to interrupt, etc. Also, help your pet keep aggro by making sure they're specced for tenacity with thunderstomp turned on, and keep md-ing them throughout the fight.
