Rather than gives us new mounts, how about bringing back some that have been removed, like the Swift Alliance Steed
They've done that a little on the BMAH--the Reins of the Plagued Proto-Drake was a reward for completing Glory of the Raider (10 player) that was removed when Ulduar came out. It started showing up on the BMAH in 5.1.
I am really looking forward to doing heroic scenarios. The thing that's been bothering me with LFR is the time commitment. The Throne of Thunder segments currently take a minimum of 50 minutes to run if everyone does their job and you don't wipe. I am not even talking about what happens the day a new segment comes out. The other problem is queue time. T15 queue time is ok, but try doing T14 LFR with an alt: you have to wait over an hour if you don't happen to be a healer.A task that is fun and challenging and takes about 20 minutes to complete with a very limited number of people sounds great to me. if the rewards are on par with LFR, all the better! It is WAY easier to learn from a fight and communicate without some voip software if only 3 people are involved. I just can't wait to try them.
I had two thoughts. Since we are going to be at the point of having as many LFR as LFD options, to help increase que times, why not add a random raid feature. Have random raids give the static 90 valor and specific ones 45 - 60 valor. This will speed up que's significantly. As for 5 man's, I had an idea for that as well that may or may not work. What if we created a few 5 man's under the storyline concept of basically sending in a 5 man group to clean up after the remains of a raid that has been cleared. Cause surely there's little nooks in crannies in those raids that other 'smaller' bosses could be hiding that a 5 man could clear out. Maybe the basement of Mogushan Vault where a few bosses had escaped the pillaging raiders who came through before and wish to exert their control and retake the vault after the other raid bosses have been defeated.
Once the Primal Egg in my bags hatches, and I finish my Kirin-Tor offensive rep, I need to farm up 3 more mounts right quick.
I think heroic scenarios will be a fun and quick way to gear up and of course get more valor. The idea is new and innovative. Here's why I would still like to see 5man dungeons though. Many people (especially healers and tanks) feel a bit threatened inside a 25man raid, even if it was just LFR. I know many healers and tanks (even DPS) that have learned the setup and their class/spec though the smaller size of the 5man. This simply gave them a learning road towards raiding. I truly believe that the best way to learn new builds and progress towards becoming a raider is a setup that resembles the raid one but is a smaller scale of it and i believe that the best setup for that is the 5man dungeon. One could argue that challenge modes might be used for that, but we all know that challenge modes are not for people needing to learn about raiding. One could argue that LFR might be the answer. I honestly do not believe that 10 people pulling aggro off a tank at once in a completely chaotic situation will be much of a good lesson for that tank or 15 people "standing in the fire" will help a starting healer a whole lot other than discourage them.Food for thought :)
I have a much better idea do your job instead of making junk and then making it super hard to get past so you can string along custumers to pay for one more month .You might want to do something radical like make a better lfr I mean really what IS the risk reward here I am not getting it anymore. There use to be a tim when you wanted to win something because it would improve your toon now i do it for rep it. I feel like it is more like another daily then a true raid. there is no item progression in this one all are 502 so now people just dont even bother trying your super hard first boss . Why would they when they can just wait and gain rep to get 522 gear ? Lets face it spend 3 hours wiping on a boss who you preety much just have to be lucky and find the spot to run in just so you can get a bag of gold that wont cover the cost of repairs or just wait a week and get 522 gear. It is a no brianer You guys have lost your way RISK +REWARD = fun without the better reward no fun.
Snipervictim, I will not comment on your stream-of-consciousness, forget-about-grammar-spelling-and-syntax writing style, but there are three points you forgot:1- You cannot buy weapons with valor points. The only way to get the highest possible quality weapons is to do LFR or normal/heroic raids.2- You cannot get the chest, shoulders or head tier tokens outside of raids. That particular ilvl 522 piece of armor may look tempting, but some of us actually try to acquire a 4-piece set for its bonuses.3- Valor points gear is good. You must earn reputation with the Shado-Pan assault to buy it. How do you earn reputation with them? Just guess. Also, mind your spelling, grammar and syntax, please.
Bashiok: My group last night wiped a good number of times and then got it down with about 15 people that did understand the mechanics and were able to pull it off. That felt good to overcome the challenge finally, even if I was one of the dead.the question i have for you, is at what point did you near wipe and get left with 15 people? it happened in a group i was in the night before as well, the first laser plus the fog plus the knives, plus the purple void spots made phase shift really hard on my cds/shields/self heals, and to be healed as well. beyond trying to find the actual safe spot to the maze, it was more confusing after finding it to get one-shotted by the laser in shock of it ripping right through a safe patch moving towards the beam. my concern with this statement is his enrage timer. we were both lucky and unlucky to have about 3-4 wipes prior to our victory over him. so we got a buff to the encounter thus making up for a few losses. i feel the amount of damage you tanke during the fog phase is almost too much to heal a 25-man group through, like i said, even burning my cds and shields as a lock i still couldnt survive it. so by the time we were down to 2 tanks, 6 heals and 6 dps, which for the amount of damage being taken at those phases would be much easier to heal through. i do feel there is a challenge to this encounter with a hard to make out safe spot. the general mechanic is fun and challenging, it does allow me to have more fun with my DoTs, but hard to figure out the surviving and taking so much damage in so little time through Sacrificial Pact and damage reducers.
If you really want to speak to the Blues of WoW, better done on the official forum, since you won't be getting a response here.
Yeah that’s right! Heroic Scenarios with new and even better rewards are coming on the next patch."better rewards" how about, rewards period? Honestly, I don't feel any incentive to do a Scenario. Ever. You get more Valor for doing a daily Dungeon and as much for doing additional dungeons as you get from your daily Scenario. I find Dungeons significantly faster and less tedious then Scenarios and you actually get usable, viable loot if the Dungeon is of appropriate level. The best I've ever gotten from a Scenario is a green i vendor-ed because no one would buy it on the AH.Scenarios were originally advertised as key moments in the storyline or history of Azeroth but lets face it, their corny little dungeons with a step by step by step walkthrough built in. "Go here, Pick up this box. Go There. Kill Orc" I like the concept of Scenarios, particularly the more recent direction of single-person ones, but until developers add some form of viable, useful loot its just another scrapped idea. It doesnt even need to be gear, I'd run them for a chance at a new pet, interesting vanity item, transmog gear even decent priced greys to generate some gold...
re: Durumu, I don't know why people can't just take 10 minutes and watch a video on how to down raid bosses in preparation of this. It's not rocket science, folks. I know some people have that entitled personality where they think they can just queue for LFR without knowing anything about the boss encounters and expect to be carried by those who do, but you're ruining LFR. Do your due diligence and stop being lazy.Yeah that’s right! Heroic Scenarios with new and even better rewards are coming on the next patch."better rewards" how about, rewards period? Honestly, I don't feel any incentive to do a Scenario. Ever. Considering I can complete 1-2 scenarios in the time it takes me to even get in a dungeon, and then another 3-4 scenarios in that time, I'd have to disagree. Also when I first turned 90 and was trying to gear up I got a lot of 450 ilevel gear from doing them. I think scenarios are the perfect way to gear up for fresh 90's while earning gear currency. Now that I'm doing LFR I don't ever touch them, but as I level up my alts to 90 I'm back in scenarios.
I'm tired of Blue and Gold for the alliance colors. I think the alliance needs to come together and have a vote on a color change!
I wasted about 4 hours last night on this weeks LFR. I agree it shouldn't be a walk in the park, but no one should ever have 10 stacks of determination. And to top it all off everyone received 0 loot with bonus rolls, so it motivates us even less to try it again next week.
T15 queue time is ok, but try doing T14 LFR with an alt: you have to wait over an hour if you don't happen to be a healer. It's been the opposite for me. It takes 15 minutes or less to get in to Heart of Fear, but it takes almost an hour to get in to Throne of Thunder, both as DPS.
That looks pretty dope
I had no issues finding the clear patches with Durumu. My only issue was making sure I was on the right side of the eye beam when it came! :p The fight was fun and challenging and to nicely top it off I did in fact win the Crossbow, as ugly as it is it made the 9 wipes worth it. The only things I'm saying about the mounts, as an avid mount collector, I do hope they give Dragonhawks a proper /mountspecial. all they do atm is move their head from side to side.I kinda hoped we'd get something really special for collecting 200 mounts, something with a new model, new creature or something. there's always 250 achi for that... maybe.
Wow spelling that's it huh well look person who checks spelling I really don't care and risk -reward is still there you can get weapons from lfr1 and 2 no need to do any other and to be honest you might want to think about that. I really don't get trolls like you who check peoples spelling and grammar other then some need to feel elite but whatever floats your boat I guess. you may not agree with me that's fine but to try to belittle me well that is just plain mean .
Hummm, interesting. To help queue times for LFR why not allow queue to multiple raids? random sounds a bit punishing, specially since you can only loot once per week, but why not allow queue for say 2 - 3 different raids? I doubt many players finish all the LFR segments everyweek, but it would be fun to queue for those that you run the most. Also, why not make LFR a bit smaller? say 15 players? I think that would decrease the queue times a bit too. Please put something else on those roll bags... I mean, 30 gold its such a disappointment... and maybe also increase the quality and quantity of stuff in the BMAH. I mean, come on... pets that you can get from vendors... put a little more effort on it.With the frequency rare mounts show at the BMAH I rarely bother going there anymore... and I know I'm not the only 1.
They should make more hippogryph mounts. There are wild hippogryphs flying around Feralas, and the Moonfeather hippogryphs fly around Darnassus but we can't have them too?
