I thought the bit on the sound editing was intresting. Though I may be flamed for this im glad to see they took out the auto learned flight paths. This is a lovely game they have made. People should got out an see just what a nice job Blizzard has done with the world.
So the dwarves that are currently are our enemies, were the only race of dwarfs to help the king. Leading to the uniting of the clans but also the exile of the dark iron?I'm confused.
I've got to say, I'm glad to see that something is happening to the alliance in a negative way. Thrall leaves the horde (HUGE), vol'jin is kicked out of org (HUGE) and Garrash is bats**t crazy while the alliance enjoy doing nothing. Janna needs to take over dalaran already. That has been a long time comming. Vol'jin needs to kill Garrash or atleast spart some civil war where Garrash loses. Oh and if swifty got a perma ban, I wouldn't be against that at all. DarkspearhordeFTW
Possible dark iron dwarf skin color? Is already in game.
you know what? my thoughts on auto flight path thing...you want people to "explore" your game more..great fine...knock yourself out. after iv been to that area 11 freaking times, u really think im going to soak up anymore lore and amazement at the devlopers lil hurt feelings i didnt actually have to run to this location on my 2nd - 11th alt, those guys need grow up and deal with fact i dont care all that much about watchi the scenery go by for x amount of times. its like i had NO problem having to hit 90 on first main toon. so i could please teh " exlplore guys" over there. but when got to my 5-6th alt..i promise you i could care less about something i already know. you want take away auto fp learning..change it make it so first main too HAS to run there. when he has all fp's go buy a tome of fp knowledge. fp tome has all fp's your main knows
BTW: That last bit in Bashiok's stuff about auto flight-path learning was in response to me asking over on the forums:And you didn't tell us this ahead of time because?Just putting the missing piece into that block of paragraphs. It goes before 'We were on our way to tell you......'Cheers.
change it make it so first main too HAS to run there. when he has all fp's go buy a tome of fp knowledge. fp tome has all fp's your main knowsThat sounds like a good idea. Seems somewhat like the old Tome of Cold Weather Flight from back in wrath. It also has a similar feel to the grand commendation items that from MoP. It strikes a nice balance between exploration and convenience.
Janna needs to take over dalaran already. That was a pretty big lore point in 5.1, the Sunreavers and the Horde got kicked out of Dalaran. That's why the 5.2 Alliance faction is Kirin Tor and the Horde isn't.
I liked how Blizz originally planned to have you physically fly to the spot the scenario takes place in the world before you can que, although that would overall be too inconvenient. I wouldn't rage if they actually implemented those useless scenario intro quests around the world as requirements to enter next patch, and maybe added an additional currency/gear reward besides the generous 40 gold. It would go a long way to give scenarios a more genuine experience. At least it looks like they'll be doing something similar in future scenarios.
Just a lore clarification on Moira (especially surrounding Cataclysm content which was covered in book, not game)Moira is the daughter of Magni Bronzebeard, leader of the Ironforge Dwarves. She ends up with Emperor Dagan Thaurissan, leader of the Dark Iron Dwarves, rivals of the Ironforge. Now the exact reasoning is never explained. Magni claims she was abducted and magically controlled, where Moira and Dagan claimed a more romantic approach. This causes Moira and Magni to become estranged, but its worth noting that there's not really hatred there, so much as misunderstanding. Regardless they have a child before Dagan is killed by heroes sent into Blackrock to save Moira but Magni. After Dagan's death Moira takes the throne of the Dark Irons. After Magni is turned to crystal attempting to placate the elements in Cataclysm, Moira returns to Ironforge to claim was is, by hereditary right, her throne or at least her sons throne when he comes of age. Needless to say the Ironforge are reluctant to accept her leading to a near civil war in the streets of Ironforge. Moira assumes the crown and the Dark Irons establish an almost police state in Ironforge. Moira is not vengeful toward the Ironforge Dwarves but merely seeks what she sees as her rightful inheritance and displays remorse over Magni's fate (although as always it could be maneuvering)Fearing the Dwarves are going to fall apart and abandon the Alliance, High King Varian assembles an elite task force(SI:6) and invades Ironforge through the Deeprun Tram. Their goal is to assassinate Moira. Varian inflitrates Ironforge and basically ends up with his blade on Moira's throat when he's stopped by the other Dwarves who admit that Moira is, technically, the rightful ruler of Ironforge. The Dwarves form the Council of Three Hammers to reunite the Dwarven Clans, continue the hereditary line of rulers and to give the Ironforge and Wildhammer Clans sufficent votes to negate Moira and the Dark Irons should they attempt anything against the Dwarves' best interests. Varian withdraws but states that he will be watching. So yes the Dark Irons ARE Alliance, although they probably wont get invited to any festivals. So basically with the Ironforge and Wildhammer distracted with checking the Dark Irons (and thereby unable to commit serious troops to Varian), it leaves Moira as the sole power among the Dwarves able to act. Shes also the one with the most to gain by helping Varian, hoping to gain favor with the High King, the Alliance and the rest of the Dwarven people. Since we don't know the state of the Dark Irons prior to their arrival in Ironforge (given the arrival of Ragnaros, conflict with the Dwarves, Alliance, Horde etc, the rogue Elementals in Cataclysm etc) its probably in their best interest to throw in with the other Dwarves and the Alliance for now.So yes shes politically motivated and manipulative, she might be doing it for the right reasons or the wrong reasons.. but like everything Moira does, its hard to tell what her endgame is.
Now if they can only improve the tech FOR flight paths. It would be great if I could use a flight path from Undercity to Stranglethorn and not take 10 minutes while I hit 1/3 of the Eastern Kingdoms flight paths. When we used to have to stop at every spot and hop back on, okay, it made sense to have to stop at all of them, the tech wasn't that great. No excuse now, unless we can stop at any point or jump off, flight paths should be point A to point B.
Auto-Learning Flightpaths DisabledNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Disabling Auto FP learning... Way to crush anyones hopes of leveling alts through exploration blizzard.
lol well of course moira is the only one who would help out she doesnt have to look over her back
