Argh, so many pretty animals and not enough room in my stable. Seriously, Blizz, just turn all my pets into spells...you already did it with the mounts and the companion pets, and I remember when those used to hog up inventory space because they were physical items. You've already got a Pokemon-like thing happening with the battle pet system for everyone to enjoy and hunters have been doing that already with all of their fighting buddies, even after pet damage was normalized and there was no real reason to hunt a specific rare anymore, unless you liked the way it looked. You can do it, I know you can, so why aren't you? T_T I'm thankful that I don't have to level new captures anymore and that my remote stable/call pet ability has five slots now and that I don't have to feed my pet anymore (although, that never really caused me any problems) and I'm very glad I don't have to use ammo anymore, along with a lot of other things, but in light of all the pretty work you've done to make our pets so diverse, can't you let us have more stable slots so we can capture them all? Call it a gold sink, you like those. I bet there are many, many hunters out there that would pay for more slots, just so we can have our nostalgia and pretty pets. I would in a heartbeat (and I tend to be stingy with my in-game gold because my server economy is like living the high life in Switzerland.).
This is great, don't get me wrong. Rushed out to tame a couple myself. But since the dawn of vanilla, eight years, four expansions and countless content patches down the line, we still have the same four boring bat skins. This has to be the most underloved pet class in wow. Please! Can we get these guys some jazzier skins?
I know right, Blizzard should add more slots.
I for one believe in more pet slots just because I like mixing up the look a lot. Just like void storage allows someone more room to put things for more looks, why cant hunters have something similar? And for those out for just the challenge tame..."Although, I see an idea bouncing around of a “pet zoo” to store those rares and hunter challenges. What about a title for taming so many rares/challenges? Because really, for most players, walking around with that rare tame is just another badge of honor." - AnonThat was taken from a site where they quoted blizz recently saying no intention for new pet slots because pets were never intended as a catch them all. My issue with the "challenge tames" (which are REALLY fun and hard!) is that some of the hardest, dont even have a unique skin. They may be rare, but once you catch them they turn into "cat" or "spider" and have the same skin as every other green spider out there. Who's to know that THAT spider is the hardest to get? As they say on the internet - pics or it didn't happen.Hunters need a way to keep their challenge tames on record. They also need a "wardrobe" like void storage or the new pet/mount system where we can mix it up if we want. One person on the forums suggested they make it so that its a spell book - at a trainer - we can use to reskin our pets (the 5 slotted ones) and that each skin is learned by taming the pets.No one cares about the name and the talent tree is no more. I think most hunters would gladly have to rename their pets and reselect their talent tree if it meant we were able to reskin them - even if it was for a GOLD SINK.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.Where's my tamable Hydra, Blizz? =(
So this probably means I should level my hunter. Some of those pets are badass.Well that and epic soloing powas. Misdirection too gud now.
Have Acroniss on my hunter, pretty wicked looking pet in-game! More of a hot pink color, but it's still pretty wicked! The patch has been out for a while, but I still get a lot of whispers from fellow hunters (and non-hunters) asking me where I got him!
I just wish that they had made 20-25 pets and 30-35 pets etc... because they spawn often and i use them to level if they aren't that cool to tame.
