anyone have any idea how often items are added to the bmah?
Wowhead: "Breanni from Warcraft Pets sells all the Argent Tournament pets."this is not correct. i'm standing in Dalaran, she doesnt sell them.

But what if all items that are on BMAH and bought by people get a special text within the tooltip. Lets say that an item bought on BMAH gets an extra message in the tooltip (for everyone to see) like: "this item is bought on BMAH". Or alternatively, all mounts that are farmed or are aquired the authentic way (like doing raids on the appropiate player level) get a message in the tooltip like: "this mount/item is earned the hard way". Or messages similar to this.I can understand that people are not deprived of their pride because they know themselves they earned or got items/mounts the hard way. But for someone else who doesn't know might think "yeah right, you bought it on BMAH". Why not an extra message in the tooltip like "this item/mount is bought on BMAH" or an extra message in a tooltip when you got it the way it was meant to. Probably means alot of work for blizz to make duplicate items but with different ID's to identify the 'authentic' item/mount and a 'black market' item/mount. Just an idea and I don't mean to offend anyone.
@AdamsmI do see your point and when thinking about it, yes it is not the problem of the owner. But somehow I feel like that an distinction or somehow a visual hint would be somehow appropiate in my own opinion. But to be honest, you have a good point as well and in other comments you gave as well. I still find it hard to be completely satisfied when I'm the only person that knows I got something the 'authentic' way. But I might be entirely wrong here to have a distinction in how an item has been earned. Anyway, it is a hard subject to have to good answer for (or maybe I'm making this harder than it is).
Well, if people really feel the need to 'show it off', pretty much every single of the rare mounts have an achievement that goes along with it, and since the shared achieves have a date on them, you can 'prove' to anyone who asks that you did get the mount out of an instance long ago.Myself, I'm just not that bothered by the BMAH, but I also don't care much about what random strangers say about my toons lol.
Yes, I do agree with you that most hard to get items/mount do have an achievement record of some kind or even a 'feat of strength' qualification. But my point is, and I admit that I'm nitpicking here or overreacting a bit, that it is not entirely clear or obvious when you quickly look at a toon. I can't help to think straight away "is that a real item or a bmah item?". As if BMAH items aren't real. Here I admit that it is all very personal and how I feel about it. But I guess that goes for other things. What is special to one person might mean nothing or less to another. But you're right, the information can be seen or asked for with a little effort. I usually try to start a conversation with a person if I see they are using a rare or hard to get mount and congratulate them, without overdoing it but still admiring their efforts or luck in obtaining said mount. Anyway, I think I have to be more openminded about all of this. I guess the BMAH will not be flooded and certain items will still remain obscure, its not like that items are available all the time.
We got Mimiron's Head 2 days ago on darkmoon faire ,sold for 760 k
I have been checking the AH every day, and have yet to see anything spectacular. I think the sheer randomness and lack of volume of the BMAH is going to make the items that are really hard to farm that show up there still exceptionally rare.
Today on the BMAH, there are two pieces of 509 Heroic gear.Just wow. Some people are about to get geared soon.
Well, I'm a little dissapointed. Here I was, thinking I could use this to get some mounts I've been after forever like the Onyxian Drake. Then, come to find out, there is only one item at a time and it is usually a pet that is absurdly easy to get (Like the Siamese Cat that was up a couple days ago on Alexstrasza) and not at all worth 10k gold....
I'm curious if wowhead is going to build a BMAH database. Anyone knows?
