We can fight Kalecgos again!
I see.... Legendary items will remain legendary...
I've been wanting this so I can sunmote into this. And Kalecgos drops the juggernaut pants.
The Dragonwrath hotfixes were alright in the end - and much needed, no doubt. At first, I thought the nerf that was applied to heroic 25man was applied across the board - which would indeed be completely stupid. Happy for all the 10-man raiders out there :)And yes, I'll update the guide with this new information over the weekend. Just when I got the latest hotfix added *grumble* :P
At a guess, I think the change to Beth'tilac is because, in some starting raids where most or all of the dps are primarily single-target dps (I know there won't be many of these, but I've been in at least one) they may not have anyone who can solo the small spiders, which means there can be insufficient dps on the drones if 2 dps are having to take the small spiders together. Granted, this isn't going to be a common problem, and it'll mostly just apply to low-geared groups and/or those who are new to Firelands (or even raiding in general), but we know that Blizzard likes to make it so that it's still possible to beat bosses when your raid comp isn't ideal. I figure that they wanted to make the dps requirement for the fight be about being able to kill the drones in P1, and Beth herself in P2, and less about having enough AoE dps to kill the spiderlings. But I agree, for the majority of raid comps, there wasn't really any need for this. Also, I'm quite happy about the legendary changes, even though it likely won't affect me or anyone in my guild significantly during 4.2. I'm a 10-man raider, and I found it a bit sad that the 25-man guys were getting all the love on this one. Most of the more successful raiding guilds on my server (and especially on my faction) are 10-man, and so far there's only one legendary staff on our server that I know of, and that was only obtained in the last week. And that was by a dirty hordie, too. :P
I'd be nice if they did something about the stave's mount but hey whatever.
A lot of people seem to get annoyed for any kind of change, good and bad.Maybe a lot of people have rage issues? need medication? I can write out a good dose of chill pills. Why do you feel to be so important that Blizzard development team simply must ask for your approval? And don't say you are paying for the game, you egocentric control freak, that amount to less than nothing. That is not to say that an explanation of changes is not good and wise, exposing the reasoning allows positive feedback to shine light on flaws in design and helps improve the game over time.Righteous Fury, out.
