This means all new armor is worthless except for stats. So basically all the new gear models for upcoming patches will be unnoticed. That's what armour has always been; and seriously, considering how ugly all the new gear is, that's not a bad thing.Ruthless for rogues is sexy as hell.
I really hope they relax the weapon reskin plans. I saved my Quel'Delar because its epic but since there are no Agility 2-hand swords anymore I'm SOL. At least I can get my Giant's Bane back.
Wait. Does this mean Cata is nearly over? The year long (by the time 4.3 comes out) nightmare will finally be over? Nuohmygod.
Armour customisation is the thing that will bring me back to WoW. Best improvement ever!
That's what armour has always been; and seriously, considering how ugly all the new gear is, that's not a bad thing. That may be true but it ruins the whole excitement for what the new tier models will be. "Oh that's tier 13 you say? That's nice but I think I'll stick with my tier 2." Players will get the new armor and just immediately change the appearance to whatever tier set that had before.
I really don't get peoples whining over this. Theres been times I've hated the tier set I'm forced to wear because its the current thing, and then everyone else walking around in it.This is something what was said, that the worst thing was how everyone at max level all looked the same in the same set, and to me, that gives no identity to your character.Really, whys to whine about? If you want to wear the current tier set, its there for you to do it, if you hate the current set, which some can be ugly as hell (shaman tier 10.. oooh god... the bad memories...) then you can now switch out of it for something better. You can even design your character to look as badass as the npcs and lore figures in whatever itemization you want. As for people whining about it will ruin pvp, no it won't, it'll just mean your have to actully work at figuring out how the other player fights and how good he is instead of just instantly figuring that out by looking at his armor set. Screw pvp whiners ruining the fun in this game again.
Wooo for recustomization!Two words:Warbear Woolies.
Wooo for recustomization! Two words:Warbear Woolies.Ah ha ha ha I love it. I was looking at the legs or the giantstalkers set too, tbh.I'm not sure how much energy I'll put into going back and getting old sets, unless someone shows me something that I find particularly fun. However, I am a huge fan of my arena season 10 armor, and would like to show it even when I PvE. Alos, there have to be some nicer weapons out there than what I have- I remember always liking BC weapon skins better. We should start a separate thread for "Link the items you like the look of the best" to help each other generate ideas. Especially since a lot of the fun ones aren't necessarly tier sets.
New info on Void Storage; hope people read that before they store their pvp gear in there heh. And the preview on transmogrification.
This is something what was said, that the worst thing was how everyone at max level all looked the same in the same set, and to me, that gives no identity to your character. There's that, but considering all I keep hearing is "Aw yeah I'm going to wear tier 1!" I'm getting the feeling that everyone will start looking the same again... :P Maybe a little varied.I probably won't use this thing much because I always manage to like every new hunter tier, and I really enjoy obtaining it. Maybe, MAYBE, if next tier starts dangling helms in front of me like pieces of meat, and then taking them away before I can grab them, like Shannox is doing, I will reskin to something else in my rage. GRR RNG. See how you like it when I defeat your boss in measly BeastStalker armor! Now who is laughing? D:<
you have to have the armor items that you want the skin copied from so go grind out your judgment set cause the Transmogrifier will need them to copy to your current set :)
Wow, are they really putting in the last major Cata raid already? I was really hoping that they would at least put in 1-2 more raids before putting in the Deathwing raid. Oh well, here's to hoping that his instance has a number of bosses on par with Ulduar/Naxx/ICC. Also, I'm rather disappointed that CoT: WotA will be a 5-man, that place could have been great raid fodder.I'm quite pleased with the transmogrification thing, although I'm hoping that you need the armor first. I'd *love* to raid as feral in full Feralheart with a Vendorstrike.
Exactly what we've been asking for, for so long. I still mourn the loss of those old sets, or the beloved gear rotting away (and using up space) in my bank. Now they're solving both problems in one fell swoop, justifying our sentimental retention and making it EASIER.Oh, Blizzard. I forgive you, once again.
i dont like this patch! :S
I'm so glad I quit this game back in December 2010. It seems like 4.3 is the final breath for Cataclysm too, they're not even trying anymore.WoW's been getting progressively worse in every conceivable way since WOLTK 3.2 Call of the Crusade. I don't know how they could manage that, it's like they're deliberately trying to make the game worse.Thank you activision, for fcking up what was once a great game.
im with you on his one this sounds retarded "lets just take all the competition out of the game" well thn theres no point in playing it, ITS TURNED INTO BOO BOO KITTY ISLAND (south park reference)
I want to ask what about Tier 3 and other no longer obtainable sets, will T3 sets return one day ?
I want to ask what about Tier 3 and other no longer obtainable sets, will T3 sets return one day ?T7 was reskins, and the off pieces were on bosses in Naxx.
It depresses me how much of this discussion is about the transmogrification and not about the fact that there is a new raid instance with Deathwing as the final boss.Well, no, actually it doesn't depress me -- that's inaccurate. It would be fairer to say that it shows how much people just don't care about raiding any more.
They are still speculating if you will have to own it or not.Personally I hope you don't; I have owned every tier set, but I have not kept it because I HAVE NOT HAD ROOM (thanks Blizzard). So it would be stupid to make me regather it when I have the achievements and have collected hard to get sets prior.I also feel the same way, mostly because I really want to have my gear reskinned to the T3 Warrior set with the blue glow, and I've only was able to attain the T3 Shoulders and wrists before Naxxramas was removed as a level 60 raid.I'm on the side hoping you do have to own the item you want your gear to look like. Mainly so it doesn't take away the point of actually going back and getting the gear. It would suck though for the sets that have been removed over the years, I'd love t3 for my warrior also.I don't think this will help though with how the current tiers will be in the future. Either they'd not really bother making the gear look nice because it's low chance they could sway people from their favorite old set, or hopefully it'll make them try harder to sway people from those sets and actually wear the new tier sets. Which sounds more like Blizzard, though?
