Well, one day in the middle of TBC, my friends and I were doing a WoW rendition of Macbeth for Darrel, who was then a senior in high school. You see, he had to turn a project on Macbeth in the next morning, and he procrastinated until the night before, and he convinced us to help him with his project. He gave us our roles (I was Malcolm), and we made human characters on a certain US-RP server, which he found out later was not a very... high school appropriate server. He started to tell us what scenes we needed to do, where he was going to record it, what we were going to say (which, vent wasn't recorded, so all of the speaking happens through the text that comes up above a player's character), and so on. Being the flock of dorks we were, we would crash scenes with hilarious, foul-mouthed phrases and a redundant story about Macbeth's mother. At first, Darrel would laugh with us and re-shoot, but eventually, it got on his nerves. 1 AM creeped around and he doesn't have a single scene recorded. So, we stop our shenanigans and be the best WoW actors we could be, trying to get the scenes recorded. Now, this is the point where Darrel finds out what kind of server he decided to record this on... And is further crashed by people who tried to RP that redundant story of Macbeth's mother (I have no idea how they found out, I promise :3). Shrieks, giggles, and full-on gut busting laughter erupted over vent. I held down the mic button as I began gasping for breath, but only belted out more insane laughter. This insanity struck into everyone and they began having the same laugh-attack as me.Well, everyone except for Darrel, who had logged out at this point and went to sleep. He got on the next day and began to tell us how childish, immature and a-holeish we were. We started to apologize (we somehow just knew to go one at a time), and I was first. As I was finishing up, my voice cracked and I began laughing. Chuckles and giggles busted out into that same laughter from last night. Even Darrel began laughing as hard as we were. Then he was grounded for a month. The end.
My favorite moment was clearly when, after tons and tons of tries, thirty minute wipes, frustration and anger that could've been the end of our guild, we finally downed The Betrayer, the joy, the screams in ventrilo, the wonderful feeling of acomplishment, oh yes, I shall never forget.
My favorite moment must have been when I first killed the Lich King, the awesome moment when he finally fell to the ground, and the awesome cut scene that follows... pure epic.
Many many memories...The one that comes to my mind at the moment though, is back in "Vanilla" when I two man'd Erankus as an enhancement shaman with my priest buddy while we were both still level 50.
My favorite memory is probably killing Four Horsemen during WOTLK for the first time with my guild. We've been trying to kill them for weeks and when we finally did, the feeling was amazing.
My best memory of WoW was killing Ragnaros for the first time during Vanilla with my guild. We had tried the fight for a very long time and finally one night it all came together and clicked, along with our darkmoon faire buffs, going into LBRS to get the fire resist buff on our tanks and all the flasks and food. The feeling when we finally got him down was great, tons of excitement over vent. Never had that experience again really in a lot of fights in WoW.
Favorite memory was the when my guild took down the Prince for the first time; we'd been having a bad night, lots of wipes, lots of issues, and our Guild Leader says over vent 'Alright, last shot and we'll call it guys'....and we downed him; since then, that has been our famous battle cry for taking down new bosses heh.
My favorite memory was back in vanilla when a bunch of my friends finally got enough gold to buy a mount, and when we had done that we set out to explore the world and boy was it fun, finding caves, world bosses and players from other factions.Never forget.
My favorite memory would be downing Raggy for the first time back when MC was THE raid. We worked so hard... and it was a long road to get there. We was so proud after that moment we was practically preening lol.. It feels great to down other bosses for the first time but after you downed the original boss, all else kinda pale's in comparison.
I'll always remember a time during open beta. Some friends and I were playing together and received a quest to kill 30 quillboar. I remember thinking that was a ridiculous number of enemies to kill. The tribal music and the red-rock scenery of Durotar will always stick out in my mind because of this.
For my it was the invite to a birthday party of a guildmember in an other country. Nice to see the real people behind those trusted guild friends.
The best moment for me was on BC, when i got my flight mount in BC (it was slow, but i was flying), finally I was not slave of the ground! and could go to anywhere... except Azeroth :P until cata :)
Finally downing OS3D after weeks of work.
My fondest memory was when my server's alliance side joined forces to make an assault on Orgrimar...with level 1 pink haired gnomes.
My favorite memory is my raid finally deafted Kil'jaeden while TBC. It's the first time I completed all pve challenges at the current game virsion. That was a very nice experience.
When I first started WoW a few years ago, I regularly watched standoffs between the Alliance and Horde in Westfall. Especially at such a low level and seeing world PVP like that, those fights were simply epic to me.
My favorite moment in WoW was during TBC when I hit 70. I bought my Wind Rider and lite rally flew around Outland for 2 hours, thinking to myself how awesome it was to fly. Another great memory was at the beginning of TBC, when I first entered Hellfire Peninsula. I was doing quests when suddenly the Fel Reaver came out from the Horizon and destroyed me. These 2 things are the most memorable to me in WoW because, while i did enjoy Vanilla a lot, additions such as flying mounts in TBC just completely changed the game and therefore just made the game that much better for me.
My favorite memory is playing WoW for the first several months. I had the most fun then. I will never forget playing with my cousin.
My favorite memory is the first time(and only time) me and a few guildies along with another friend's guild (note: we were not carried) downed the LK and got the Kingslayer achievement, granted it was done after cata came out and we were all almost lvl 85. We didnt down him the first time we encountered him, it did take a few tries but there was great tension that last time we faced him as towards the end last attempt a few people died, but in the end we did beat him.
So many favorite memories! For this, I shall choose when I completed the Hunter epic weapon questline. Ugh, what a total pain in the butt that was.. but when it was finally finished, after sooooo long... well, the feeling was fantastic. As much as it sucked, I miss those types of things :) Taught me how to perfect strafing, that's for sure ;)
