I'm actually hoping for an option to make the nameplates overlap or not. I've grown quite accustomed to managing nameplates if there were, say, 10+ creatures around me at a time.
I am glad objects that block line of sight block nameplates. There have been comics that poke fun of NPCs trying to hide when the nameplate gives them away. That was always just too weird.By the way, I cannot believe computers can read this code I have to enter less well than I can.
So...they work like the nameplates which you get when you press Shift+V now?If so, cool :)
Its gonna be cool. "Onyxiya"(1) "Onyxiya Whelp" (50)You Earned Achivement Many Whelps! Handle It!
Hopefully the line of sight change won't go through or they only allow it for PvE circumstances. Visible nameplates largely balance out the "Pillar Humping" aspect of arena.
Rofl how are you going to select the higher HP mob or the lower if they overlap? Think about VoA for instance.
I'm not a huge fan of the extended distance on nameplates. I don't PVP at all, but when leveling toons I like how the nameplates extend to just beyond the aggro range of mobs. It helps me navigate though packs of mobs without aggroing them all. The other changes seem great though.

I for one, welcome our "name plate" overlords. Having to tank multiple mobs and having more joining in to the fray has allways been a pita in WoW. This when using "v", they're like all over the place if you need to move them around, wich is the case on many fights.I also want to make a christmas wish that Blizzard all together redisgn the "plates" themselves. The names are fine I guess, but the HP bars are a bit too big and obstructive. Overlapping them is a step in the right direction I believe. Also, I am no graphic expert, but it seems that they are "hard coded". What I mean is, regardless of whatever resolution I run the game in they're still "BIG". Wish they'd scale a bit. I've an enormous monitor for a reason! And no, it's not to stare at "HP bars" trying to sort themselves around when I drag a bunch of whelps aroundI tried to handle the whelps and I failed. He will scream at me now.
