I still wish, we could use this horn style for our own draenai chars.... :(
IF YREL IS MAKING A GRAND COMEBACK, I WILL LITERALLY SQUEAL! <3
"Do note that the 7.3 PTR is still early, so details are subject to change."Sadly we can't always assume things are set in stone until it comes to the live servers.
Probably Yrel in our timeline it's dead and this is her niece (Remember Yrel had a sister). Remember that if not for you, the player being in the mines at that time she would have died... But since this is the prime timeline and we weren't there...
This is the kind of discussion I love. Now, I'm going to reply to a few posts with my perspective on the discussion, then I'm going to put up my own theory on the matter. Please, bare with me and don't come after me in my sleep. ^^'--------------------------------------------
Crazy thought... it could be the daughter Velen thought he lost just like the son he thought he lost but who actually went demonic.
great post thank you !

Yet I still don't have a Dwarf Pali to pal around with in my class hall. 2 night elfs who can't even be Pali's as players yet no Dwarf champion. Sad Dwarf here.
1. She does not "share the same basic audio files", she uses Yrel sounds, peroid. Those sound files are even named for Yrel.2. On Argus, lived race known as Eredar. Then Burning Legion came, and it essentially split into three present today - Man'ari that accepted Legion and their power (and adopted name "Eredar"), Draenei that left Argus, and Broken that stayed on dying world but did not side with Legion (and later Draenei that did not leave Draenor before it was destroyed also became Broken). She looks like Draenei, so either she took part in first or second Draenei exodus (from Argus to Draenor or from Draenor to Azeroth) or was born later. Unless there are some extraordinary circumastances around her, she just can't be native of Argus, but could be part of Army of Light. We know that AU Yrel was present on Draenor, after first exodus.3. AU Grom had no son. AU Maraad did no exist. There were enough differences between alternate and main Draenor that Yrelka being MU counterpart for Yrel, even if multiple details do not match, is within reasonable expectations.
They were indeed on Draenor pre-explosion. Ner'Zhul shattered Draenor by opening a series of portals across it's surface while they were assaulting his strongholds.
I honestly don't think it's Yrel, but perhaps a relation. Either way, I'm interested in learning more about this NPC.Also, I'm still disappointed player models don't have those sort of horns!
Either mother, daughter, sister, cousin, or someone who knew Yrel from the MU time line that saw her die and chose to take up her name in honor of her. For all we know, maybe "ka" is a sign of respect for Draenei. You wouldn't think the time lines would change so much that Yrel's name would change from the AU to the MU. Garrosh didn't go THAT far back. So Yrel would still theoretically exist in the MU ... although she's likely deader than a door nail by the time TBC started.Chances are either Yrel was named for Yrelka or Yrelka was named for Yrel. Maybe we'll finally learn Yrel's secret which leads into Yrelka's role. There is a young Velen in the files so apparently we're diving into the past for a bit.I very much doubt Yrelka is Yrel, though. That just makes no sense.Guess we'll see if she gets expanded on over time or if she just gets ignored as another "faceless" NPC.
I hope it's Yrel from Warlords of Draenor. I don't want it to be a daughter, mother, or Yel from the main universe. She and Grommash should come to help us fight the Legion at Argus. Maybe they got the name wrong. Errors happen.
she's even sexier
