The quickest and surest way to detect the undead is by the scent of rot they carry, and even the most veteran soldier cannot match the olfactory sense of a hound. Houndmaster Braun has bred and trained a savage pack of canines to aid the crusaders in hunting down their foes--living and undead.
Flameweaver Koegler trains the Scarlet Crusade's more magically minded adepts in the subtle applications of the arcane. Fire is his specialty, and he has used his skills to burn the order's historical tomes, erasing the Crusade's past failures. Apart from books, Koegler's flames have rendered many--undead, students, and trespassers alike--into piles of smoking ash.
Thalnos earned repute in the Scarlet Crusade for the brutal torture methods he used to "purify" new recruits. Ultimately, the sadistic mage contracted the plague of undeath and arose as a fearsome skeletal being. The vengeful Thalnos now prowls the monastery's graveyard, commanding apparitions and zombified creatures to attack anyone who trespasses on his unholy domain.
Brother Korloff first learned of the monk's deadly arts from pandaren ambassadors as they journeyed through Azeroth. When the crusader demonstrated this martial style to his superiors, they unanimously ordered Korloff to train an entire generation of initiates in the ways of the monk.
At a young age, Sally Whitemane witnessed her family succumb to the horrific plague of undeath as they were traveling through northern Lordaeron. She was then forced to destroy her parents and siblings when they rose as mindless Scourge minions, leaving her racked by guilt and rage. Ever since that day, the fearsome priestess has found fulfillment and pleasure in only one thing: the destruction of undead.

That's a huge improvement!
@valsemo: Yes, I've seen the event, and thus I know why Mograine's no longer there. Although, Fairbanks is still there, as was seen in the video, which makes me wonder if he'll have something to do with either the Ashbringer event or a quest of some sort. Since he was just lying on the floor, most probably dead, I'd guess he's not going to be a boss.
So I'm assuming that the event with corrupted ashbringer is no longer there correct?
SM was the first place I used LFG - I didn't discover it till level 33 :P I feel very familiar with the place, I'm glad it'll be redone ^^
Hey guys, I was curious, did you see any Scarlet Tracking Hounds while inside the Monastery? Currently, thats the only place that you can tame a red version of the mastiff.
My review of Scarlet Halls. Awesome. Thank you for reading :)
Cant wait for the new content to play. Wow is pretty boring right now but with mop it will give us some things to try and new adventures.I am so excited!
I don't understand.. Why revisit a part of the lore that is done with. In Vanilla you fought the forces of the Scarlet Crusade. When Naxxramas hit you dealt with the Ambassadors that went to parlay with the Argent Dawn. WOTLK is out and the last vestiges evacuate to Northrend where both players and Mal'Ganis destroy the crusade both from the outside and inside. Once Cata hit, you deal the killing blow to the Scarlets at the monastery and kill off Rohan, Marjan and the other Scarlets at Tyr's Hand. So why are we coming back to this? The scarlet crusade is DEAD. It ran its course in the lore. There's so much better lore to revive than this. Magatha's business with the Horde isn't over. Where's Gallywix? Who is this "Zul" the Zandalari are talking about? What happened to Maeiv?
This was always one of my favourite low level instances. Will be cool to have a re-vamp of these. Can't wait!
Wow awesome.
Putting raid-like mechanics in low-level dungeons... smart. That'll help us practice as we level up, rather than throwing all these things at us at once.
