You mean we're only allowed to choose Five? It's so hard to whittle down my favourite moments. In no particular order:1. Raid: Server First Onyxia Kill / Server First Nemesis Skullcap (Gorgonnash US Horde). When the model was still a red turban-like thing with a feather. I felt like the king of the server that day.2. Raid: Temple of Ahn'Qiraj - This entire instance just appealed to me on a level none other has since. The lore (Scepter of the Shifting Sands) and quests surrounding and leading up to it, not to mention the instance itself. It really felt like your raid was the last great hope for the world. You were there to slay a God. Enough said.3. Boss: Ragnaros - His speech still gives me the same buzz today as it did all those years ago when we first got there. It was so satisfying seeing him die and have his gigantic hammer shoot into the air and come crashing down. Best. Boss. Ever.4. Zone: The Barrens. You heard me. As a Horde player, it really felt like you were one of those on the Front Lines, helping to carve out a niche in which to survive in a new world. It was like a rite of passage for Horde Players to complete The Barrens. The entire zone still holds a warm place in my heart, and I will be sincerely sad to see it changed with the release of Cataclysm.5. Questline: Dreadsteed of Xoroth Chain - This chain, culminating in the event at Immol'thar's prison in Dire Maul, was all kinds of rad. Assembling the Bell, Wheel and the Candle, and having to rescue them throughout the fight while the demons assailed your group, then defeating the boss himself. So Awesome.

1. The BeginningI don't think I consider this as my favourite moments but as one of the funniest memories from Vanilla. First of all, I didn't have my own account back then, but I'd get to see when my brother played his 30-40 leveled rogue. Well, being about 12 or more years old, I didn't understand english, almost at all. I was almost always asking 'what does that mean, brother?', and I bet I was annoying as hell. Well, after a while, when I got hang of the game, my brother let me make my own character. I had seen all the classes in-game, and thought druid was super cool because of the shapeshifting forms. Well, being a girl, I wanted to make a female (night elf) but my brother insisted, saying they were ugly and clumsy. I argued with him for about dozen minutes, making a 'compromise', making a night elf male. Ugh. Well, at first I thought druids would have forms from the start. Oh, how wrong I was. I remember asking 'why can't I switch to an owl?', and got my brother laughing his ass off on the floor. I didn't understand back then, but now when I think about it I can't help but laugh my ass off, too.(I farmed Bristly Whiskers for my 60% mount. It was epic.)2. Ragnaros. Well that boss was really made of something. I remember wiping on it a few times, and when we got it down, it dropped friggin' shaman leggings! (we were alliance) Nao dat was hilarious. hihi (atleast we got 50 dkp plus!)3. Old school Alterac ValleysSimply rocked. As a rogue, it was just so epic to one shot cloth users. I also remember getting my The Lobotomizer. I was jumping for joy.. oh joy!4. Onyxia!I remember when our server's best guild was selling boosts for tier 2 head for 100g. I instantly took the offer, and they told me they were going to boost me the next day. Well, I waited, until their guild master came on and invited me to their raid. Sadly for me, I had embarrased myself greatly. I realized that I haven't done the friggin' pre-quest! Smooth going girl, smooth going. Gladly I didn't lose any money...5. Recipe: Flask of the Titans& my first General DrakkisathI don't know how I had gotten myself into a situation like that. I had led a raid through Blackrock Spire. Woo!Well, after a few tries we downed General Drakkisath, we (as usually) spammed absolutely everything at the raid chat. Lucky for us, the boss dropped the recipe for Flask of the Titans.I had calmly announced that I was going to raid-roll it, because there was no alchemists in our raid, which was odd. Well, it seemed that it actually was my lucky day, because I won it.Only after the raid some random from the raid whispered me and called me a ninja for 'ninjaing' the recipe. He told me he was going to roll for it, but I had been too fast. Pfft. Yeah. I laughed to myself and calmly told him that it was his own fault that he didn't roll. He said he'd report me, ignored me and started to whisper me from different alts, calling me names and such. I think I had actually really laughed my ass off that time.
1:PvP- I have always thought that hunters have some really fun skills for PvP. Whats more fun than using Eagle Eye to see a target, then watch him run to avoid that swirling, splarkling circles that appear. Or even just using hunters mark on a far-away target and watching him run the exact opposite direction. And dont even get me started on eyes of the beast! All in all, PvP was one of the first moments of fun i had after level 20.2:My first gold piece I ever recieved... When someone in my guild asked if I could DE something, I agreed to meet him in Ironforge. I wasn't a high enough skill to DE the item, but that didnt stop him from giving me a pile of 25g! I was so excited... What to buy...What to buy... were the only things in my head. I managed to type in "thanks" as I ran to the auction house like a kid who just got their allowance.3: My first Ragefire Chasm run... As a dwarf =P That seemed like one of the cooler instances, and I just remembered my first stocks run. "No loot?" was the first thing I said after the dungeon... Ah, to be a horde...4:The first pet i got on my dwarf hunter. It was a beautiful moment between me and the wild, and I still have that brown bear to this day!5: The first time I took a shot with my gun as a dwarf hunter. I took something down before it even got to me, and I just thought "Wow... These guys are epic O.o"
1. Instance: Ahn'Qiraj Temple. My guild was 2nd to kill C'thun on the realm. And because AQ40 was marked as the hardest instance in Classic WoW, the victory indeed tasted delicious.2. First mount. After all the hard work it felt so great to finally obtain a frostsaber. I ran around Darnassus for hours and hours spamming the guildchat. "Ooow, look at me,I got a mount!"3. Quest: The Great Masquerade. The quest well explained the lore of Onyxia's Lair. But even more important: It was... cool. Just cool. Or maybe even epic. The best quest I've ever completed.4. Instance: Naxxramas. The ol' Naxx was so awesome because it simply was challenging and most of the boss events were so entertaining and required lots of good teamwork. My personal favourite was Heigan the Unclean,no doubt.5. Item: The Corrupted Ashbringer. My guild did so much hard work to get me this sword as a birthday-present. I have always been a huge lore-fan and my favourite characters in lore were Lady Sylvanas Windrunner and Alexandros "Ashbringer" Mograine. So, of course I had to get his sword. I will never forget the feeling of wielding that sword.
1. Ragnaros - After wiping on Rag for at least a week, we were on our eighth attempt of the night at about two in the morning. I had school the next morning at seven am, but Molten Core was serious business, so I stayed up to raid. It was very worth it because we downed him that eighth attempt, and never in my life have I had that same sense of accomplishment (as lame as it sounds.) It felt like winning the Superbowl, guild vent exploded with cheers and congrats, and I proceeded to call all of my real life friends and tell them what I had just done. (Yes, I was a sad 14 year old)2.Epicness - Epic items used to be difficult to obtain, and you seldom saw people with them. Getting a purple used to feel so badass. Now, it's weird to see an eighty without full epics.3.Windfury- There was a shaman on my server with Hand of Rag, and every time I saw him in a battleground, I would just watch as he one shot everyone in his path.4. No diminishing returns - Because I was a warlock and all I had to do to win at pvp was fear, fear, and fear.5. Barrens Chat - Because of all the trolls, and of course Chuck Norris.
My 5 best experiences in Vanilla, (Only started when Wrath of the Lich King came about, but i did them/still want to do them nonetheless)1st - The zone, Ferelas. When i 1st went there in the early 30s and saw all the wolf's and bear's which were an unbeknown level to me, I just thought, "woah, i have to come here when i'm high enough." Utterly beautiful zone, which i will sorely miss come Cataclysm.2nd - The questline for Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, which is one I still want to do, although I have watched someone complete the chain. Was epic, excuse the understatement for the weapon ;P3rd - The Rhok'delar and Lok'Delar hunter quest chain. Another which I still need to do, all i need is the Ancient Petrifief leaf, want to collect the 3 items(Quiver, Bow and Stave) for centemental value.4th - Molten Core, which is an incredibly fun raid, even if the loot is out-dated, and because it gives you an adrenaline rush when killing Majordomo Executus for the chance at the Ancient Petrified Leaf(Reason for Leaf is above)5th -Last and very much not least, Temple of Ahn'Qiraji, for the uber cool mounts, which I hope in Cataclysm will be usable in the entire World.Clownfish, 77 NE hunter, Tarren Mill EU
1) shadow fang keep. It was my first instance. I remember it with so good memories as, in my modest opinion, was the best designed old world instance. The simple layout, yet big instance. The many bosses with encounters, that at this level, seemed epic, made it my best old world memory2)Old alterac valley. I started playing slightly before TBC and this is my only memory from pro-tbc. I was in a 6 hour match which we eventually won. It was the most epic battle i ever had, with the alliance pushing us south when, after ninja-summoning the ice lord, we pushed them back and crushed them.3)Vast grounds. vanilla gave this inexplicable mystery. I never understood why, but azeroth has a different feeling from the two expansions. While the expansion has few vast areas, the old world had many smaller, yet more complex that always hide more secrets4) fun items. As a friendly, next door psycho killer once said "why so serious?". I've seen lately that joke items are all being purged to the ground. I don't understand why eg this X buff that makes you bigger was so OP stacking with the y buff that actually deserved a nerf. Fun items gave a flavour to the game.....which at the end of the day, the point is to make us have a good time.5) world PvP: i have relatively few experiances with world PvP as i can wee after BG's were released. But i remember a huge battle i had with my (now retired) undead rogue at tarren mill. It was epic, it was unbalanced, it was fun. We eventually won, but not before 3 hours of slaughter. WG was a good effort, but never reached the epicness of this battle
1: Leveling from 1-60 as a cow warrior. WoW was my first MMO, and back all those years ago i was a complete noob, but man, it was awesome to slowly actually learn to survive, and what the heck this and that meant. I usually look back on those days and try to compare my old, noobish self with people i may meet in the game and get to pity.2: Getting my first mount, a Brown Kodo i believe. I remember that a guild member had told me that if i was revered they would only cost, i think, 10 g (they cost some 90-100 back in those days). Ofcourse they didnt, but i was naive enough to try.3: Farming rep with the Timbermaw faction from 50-60. Ever since i entered Feralas and did those quests, and then finding out what the reward for being exalted was, only thing i did untill BC launched was farming feathers and spirit beads. I was sure The Defender of the Timbermaw was one of the best items you could get... as i mentioned, i was naive and a noob, even at 60 ;)4: During a raid on the Crossroads, i remember a level 20 Nelf spamming /chicking at me while i was observing the highbies owning the guards and players. Some other guy finally grew tired of his emote spamming and went to kill him, and i gratefully joined in. When he was dead, i did a /chicken emote on him too.5: Doing Rage Fire Chasm as a level 18. I didnt understand a thing of what was going on, but i wanted to do the quest to it. Our group kept wiping for pulling badly, but we were determined to go on. Think we only cleared till Taragaman though...
Ahh the memories. where do I start?1. When I first saw Ironforge as my warrior dwarf, that was a monumental moment. just walking through the raised gate and seeing that huge statue I literally stopped and gazed up at that thing. it was then I knew I rolled the right race.2. Loch Modan, now that was fun times. Especially the Stonewrought Dam. when i first came to the dam I thought i wonder where this goes. So I jumped off into the yet to be mapped Wetlands. Think how surprised i was to see that I came to a spirit healer in some unknown region and that I had to walk all the way back to the dam and jump again so i could rez. ah good times.3. when it came to quests my favorite was Ammo for Rumbleshot. the scripted scene with the dwarves after getting the ammo to them was the funniest thing I had yet to see in WoW. gotta love comedy.4. when I first started WoW I didn't group up that often with others then I got invited to a Blackrock Depths run. That was the most fun I had in WoW to date. it may of taken over 5 hours but hell if it wasn't worth it.5. And lastly was the cameo of the Lost Vikings in Uldaman. it was really neat to see those guys in WoW.
1. Scholomance. I can not even begin to talk about how awesome this place is before I start off into a rant. As a warlock player this has always been an instance I felt at home in. The whole scenery of an entire school of sorts for the undead and demonic just fits perfectly, especially with the Plaguelands.I can only say; Running Scholomance is a must when you are a Warlock, and is made of win and awesome.2. Molten Core.I still remember the first time I joined a group for Molten Core, and when Ragnaros just burst out of the lava I was just glued to the screen. And I mean seriously; I was so caught up with what he was saying and entranced by it that I forgot the fact that I had to hit buttons in order to beat this guy. I died on the spot and enjoyed the rest of the fight with a refreshing beverage.3. Raptor Mount. This is one of the reason why Trolls are the best race in WoW. They ride DINO-freakin'-SAURS.I don't need to say anything else. This is just how manly they are. They tame Dinosaurs and ride them. The only way they could ever be better if the thing had rockets up it's ass and could grow into Godzilla....Blizzard, feel free to take this concept, I will send cookies. <34. Dreadsteed of Xoroth. This was one of the reasons why I loved playing a Warlock. The simple feeling of accomplishment when you completed task after task so you could summon a demonic creature that was burning, and you could ride it to where-ever! This always felt much better than simply buying a mount from a vendor like some kinda convenience store. You earned it, and it looked and felt great.5. PvP.I have to say, I have never been a person to engage in PvP or Duels or anything of the sort since PvE just attracted me more. But I can't deny that I have had countless of hours of fun when the Allies would rush into Orgrimmar to kill Thrall, and we would be waiting for them in his chambers to unleash hell on them. .Whether we succeeded or failed, it just portrayed how people would stand together to defend their Warchief no matter the cost.FOR THE HORDE!
1. Discovering the spellbook. That's right, my first character i had leveled to about level 8 or so before doscovering the spellbook AND the trainer. That was fairly monumental for me.2. Traveling through The Barrens. My first experience with horde and PVP was when a friend and I were going to RFK and having to run through The Barrens. We actually were hiding in the bushes to hide from passing horde. If only this tactic still worked today.3. Running VC for the first time. It...was...AMAZING. And like most low level noobs i ran it like 50 times, even after i was not gaining experience from it.4. Being a beggar for gold. I needed my mount (at 40, none of this level 20 crap) so I asked for money from every 60 I saw. Only got like 5-10g total, and then got someone in the guild to help me out.5. My first WoW Winter's Veil. I was a freakin entrepreneurist with selling kits of Milk and Cookies. I farmed in Westfall daily for eggs and then went back to IF to stand next to Greatfather Winter and sell Milk and cookies for 5g a kit. The lazy 60's loved it and so did i, allowing me to amass a large sum of gold.
1. My absolute favourite moment/place/incident would without a doubt be when I, with first guild I joined, downed Ragnaros. The intensity, the screaming and yelling on Ventrilo, and for the first time in any game, the feeling that we had actually achieved something!2. I must say it was when I first joined the game. I made a Tauren Druid and as level 3 I went to this hill just outside the starting area, and looked over the landscape and thought to myself, "wow... this game is amazing!".3. Even though I hated the instances, I must admit one of my favourite things in vanilla was farming for the Shadowcraft set. I think it was just one of those things in-game that looked cool and sort of like a high-end raiding set, without being it.4. I hate it, and I hate it a lot now... but back in vanilla, and again on my first character (the Tauren Druid), I loved spending hours and hours just fishing in the small ponds and areas around Mulgore. I was chatting with the guild, listening to the in-game music and just...standing there.... fishing.. good times, I miss it.5. Sorry Blizzard, but I must say I soo loved exploring in Vanilla. It all started when someone from my guild showed me how to get to the Ironforge Airport, I was so exited and wanted more "untouched" areas, and that lead to the Dancing Troll Village, Hijal, Under Stormwind, ontop of Orgrimmar and Old Ironforge (just to mention a few places). It gave me this unrealistic feeling of me being the only one (or at least one of few) to ever set foot in these places.. It was a huge thrill!
1. Getting my charger mount. Though, honestly, I believe I got this shortly after Burning Crusade came out. I felt like it was a rite of passage from being a beginner in WoW to achieving more significant things. Not to mention I felt pretty awesome riding around in style.2. Battlegrounds: I remember vividly the fun and time spent with Warsong Gulch, working with people I called friend and doing very well with each game we took part in. Upon reaching level 50, I was in AV all of the time. AV in Vanilla was fun, and I mean FUN. I loved the idea of a competitive battle to the other team's commander. Although at the time, it was much more challenging.3. Capital cities: Stormwind and Ironforge was much more lively in Vanilla, from level 1 bank toons to fully tiered level 60s, everyone hung out there. It was laggier, sure, but I loved being around people who had achieved the highest level. I looked up to those guys.4. Deadmines: Ahhhh, good times spend there. Hours upon hours of going into the Defias stronghold and taking on the kingpin. I loved every experience in there, gaining some experience, some good gear, and meeting some people I loved and hated.5. Leveling: It took forever, it was sometimes strenuous. But It gave a huge reward with each level. I liked it
1. Doing RFC on my level 13 orc warlock. I did not know what an instace was and I got invited because i was standing near the warlock trainer and someone said "Inv the lock" I did not know what that ment but a moment later a box appeared on my screen and i clicked accept. A few minutes later I figured out that I was supposed to walk through the big portal. From that moment on I was a true instance junkie.2. Cluelessly wandering in to the WSG bg on my levle 15 warrior not knowing what it was and being told i was a "noob" by a level 19 undead warrior because I was useing http://www.wowhead.com/?item=15424. He whent on to tell me I should leave and level to 19 and get http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12992 or something like that. Im sorry to say that put me of pvp for a long time.3. Getting my first mount. A wolf for my orc warrior. I would have gotten it at level 40 if it hadent been for a friends !@#$ty internet connection. I accidently bought 3 mounts because of lag. I clicked it once and nothing happend then another time and another after that. And all of a sudden I had 3 mounts in my bag. that ment I had to wait till level 43 to earn enough gold to actually buy the riding skill.4. Learning what it was to "tank". Dont remember in what instance but I remember the nice mage who had a level 60 warrior. he explained what it was to tank and how I should do it. After that I was sold on tanking. I loved the idea of being a main component of any group. Without me everyone else would die.5. Finnaly hitting 60 after ages of questing and instance runs. Only to realise that in 2 days I had to do it all over again. The burning crusade was about to release...
