I'm really glad that rogues can have a dagger legendary seeing as the first one- was never released.
This is the stupidest idea ever by blizz a one class only legendary, they should make legendarys transmogable aswell so all classes can ahve a legendary looking item. i remember it was some noob rogue who suggested a melee dps legendary dagger at last years blizzcon its funny how blizzard listen to stupid ideas and adding cosmetic crap like pets etc but not actually fixing broken classes an pvp
Except the difference is with shadowmourne, it is just some secondary stats. All 3 classes still used 2 handed axes regularly. Those who use an agi dagger as a non rogue fall under the "doin' it wrong" category.
People seem to conveniently forget that the MC legendaries were very limited in scope. Ferals were garbage in classic so Sulfuras went to Warriors. Possibly enhancement or retribution but I'm pretty sure those were garbage then too. Thunderfury was a tanking weapon so again, warriors. Atiesh was great but very very few people got it because of Naxx40's difficulty. When the glaives were relevant only Warriors or Rogues got it. Adding DK's onto the list for any legendary other than Shadowmourne is absurd because there were no DK's when these weapons were powerful. Oh and Thori'dal only went to Hunters except that one time that Rogue got it cause he had seniority over the Hunter. Putting Rogues and Warriors on that list is also absurd. In short only the caster legendaries have had any appeal to more than two classes pretty much. It is not be unprecedented to make a legendary suited for one class. And please remember that because you can farm an old legendary and equip it at level 85 and some of the stats are kind of relevant to your class now means absolutely nothing about the design philosophy behind the weapon.

I would love to see a legendary dagger. There have been no legendary items that an Enhancement shammy can use, so an Agi dagger, htough not our 1stchoice of weapon, would be epic... rogues at least have the war glaves... but Enh and Feral druids havenever had a legendary that would benefit them. A dagger would be loved so much.
If you were to consider that Blizzard makes Legendary weapons for the class and not the spec, then rogues have been the longest with out one (or tied with hunter if they were receiving the bow but that wasn't it's design.Glaives: Rogue, WarriorThori'dal: HunterVal'anyr: Druid, Paladin, Priest, ShamanShadowmourne: DK, Paladin, WarriorDragonwrath: Mage, Warlock, Shaman, Druid, PriestSo Rogue next makes perfect sense.
When he says "only for Rogues" what he really means is: Only for Rogues, Shamans (all specs), Mages, Priests, Druids (Balance and Resto), Warlocks, and noobish Hunters (and Warriors). Forgetting transmogrification, it will be for Rogues and Enhancements.
Who is to say that this legendary could not have a questline that in the end lets the person completeing it pick thier "type" of dagger, i know that not ussually the case but blizz does like to do different things once in a great while.like say an ele or resto shamy can pick up the quest line and completes the quest to recieve a sp+spirit+haste dagger or something or on the other hand a rouge completes it for an agi+crit+haste dagger (idk rouges), you never knmow what blizz might come up with but sending out a legendary for one class that not every spec would use seems unnatural.and you might say "well the bow was only useable ny hunters" well that fact there is that if a rouge had the bow equiped it didnt limit his dps like a dagger woukld do to an enhance shamy.ya never know, could turn out like the hilt quest were you picked your wep at the end, but that just my 2 cents.
