Before I dropped herbalism for tailoring, this never dropped in five runs.

The first run after leveling to 375 tailoring (a heroic, no less) dropped this. I'm not sure if the droprate goes up for heroic or lvl'd tailoring, or if I'm simply lucky. A fine moneymaker for tailors, as it's in-demand for healers lacking stamina after their Primal Mooncloth sets.

Does anyone have an accurate drop rate for tailors?
Or has anyone else has had trouble getting this pattern?
The drop rate wowhead offers is for everyone including non-tailors.
I have run this instance close to 10 times with tailoring 375 and it refuses to drop.

Does this pattern still drop? I've been soloing this for weeks and have yet to see this or Thorngrin's patterns drop. I've been doing the heroic then a few regulars immediately after until I get the "too many instances."

Yes, the pattrerns still drop. I too have farmed both places countless times before seeing them drop, just don't give up! The pants pattern has JUST dropped by the way, which is why I came to see these recipes and check which one I'm missing from the BC instances.

FARMING GUIDE:

Note that there are two BoP Tailoring patterns that drop here - these and the Battlecast Pants off of Thorngrin. Wowhead lists the drops rates as nearly identical, so make sure you go after both of them while you're here. I got the pants after about 25 runs, but this hood took me 53 runs. Eventually, I got it down to under 7 minutes per run. At 85 (priest), you only need to pull three sets of mobs for 17 total kills, plus the boss.

As soon as you enter and see the first set of guards, run right down the middle of the first arch, through the second arch, and up to the third arch. You should be past the patrol points for the first two guards and the first robot, so they should reset and just leave you with the two guards from the second arch and the two guards and the robot from the third arch. AoE them down and loot (see note about loot at end).

Move through the third arch and keep to the left, avoiding the 3 mobs in front of you. Skirt the inner wall and avoid the next 3 mobs in front of you, easing up along the inner wall until just before you get to the centerline of the fourth arch. The robot coming through the arch will come almost to you, then turn to your right and patrol down that side, leaving you alone. Run exactly down the centerline of the fourth arch and you won't pull the guards on either side. Once through the arch, skirt the left wall to avoid the mobs in front of you. Run up to the birds, drop an AoE on them if can do so without stopping, then keep running through the robot and the fifth arch, stopping just before the sixth arch. You now have ten friends: three falcons, one falconer, two guards and a robot from the fifth arch, and three guards from the sixth arch. This is probably the hardest pull, as the birds can stun in succession, and that can be rough if you're a clothie who needs to channel his AoE. Loot everything except the birds - they drop nothing worthwhile.

The next two minutes have a lot of weaving but no mobs. Coming out of the sixth arch, watch out for a stray bird that pats around and will pull his friends with him. It's an easy kill, but a waste of farming time. Skirt the right wall til the corner, then follow it up the right side, behind the huge set of guards by the first boss, and on to the central platform. Run through the gap between the mobs against the right wall and the workstation towards the center, but watch out as there is sometimes a two-mob pat that wanders across that gap. Again, it's an easy kill, but a waste of farming time, so burn a few seconds to let them pass. Once through the gap, stay up against the right wall until you're past the plants, then curve over to the seventh arch. Stay to the right as you come through that arch, and you'll be at the top of the ramp in front of Thorngrin.

If you already have Thorngrin's pattern, then stay on the ramp and head left. Watch out for the two-mob pat that circles clockwise up/down the ramp and in front of Thorngrin. If they are already coming up the ramp towards you, just jump off the middle of the ramp and turn left. If they're not yet at the ramp, you can run down it, hugging the left side as they get close.

THORNGRIN FIGHT:
Move down the ramp to the right. In addition to the two-mob pat mentioned above, there is one single mob that pats in front of Thorngrin. There are also two groups of five mobs in front of Thorngrin Each of these groups has two casters (Inciter), two melee (Reaper), and one healer (Channeler). The melee can hit a bit hard on clothies, so you might not want to pull them all at once. You know the drill - kill the healers first. Loot the trash, then pull Thorngrin and hope the RNG likes you. Move to the far end of the ramp to keep going towards Warp Splinter.

From the bottom of the ramp, stay to the left to avoid the two stealthed rogues between you and the eighth arch. Once through the arch, you will see three sets of mobs, each around a workstation. You can carefully move through them, staying on the left side as you near the ninth arch. There are two guards at the arch - pull them to the left, away from the last group of scientists, and kill/loot them.

Go through the ninth arch, and keep to the left, away from the lovely mutants. If you stay to the left of that little fountain-thingie near the wall, you can avoid pulling the first group of mutants, and then slip through the tenth arch. Once through, head straight down the middle into the central courtyard with Warp. Do not veer off the centerline or you'll pull the flowers - another waste of time.

Walk up to Warp, say howdy, and slap him around. He casts a Stomp that will stun you for 4 seconds, and if you take too long he'll sometimes cast Summon Saplings, which move slowly but will trigger all the flowers to come swarm you. This is only a problem when you're looting, so be prepared to loot quickly if needed. When I got the pattern, there were six different loot items, and I had plenty of time to loot them all and then exit, without having to deal with the trash. When you have looted, keep walking straight out the back entrance, then hit reset and try again.

LOOT COMMENTS: If you want to maximize loot, try to have at least 50 bag slots open when you start a farming set. At 7ish minutes per run, I finished a set of five runs in about 35 minutes, with probably 30 spots filled with various trash and boss BoP blues, a few stacks of cloth (make into bolts and save space), around 10 BoE greens (sent to my enchanter to DE for more profit), and a stack each of Sunfury Signets and Arcane Tomes. When you're timed out, fly down to Cosmowrench to repair and vendor trash, and then to Area 52 if you need to mail stuff, even to Shattrath if you need to hit the bank or the AH. After 53 runs, I have more than enough Signets and Tomes to get to max Exalted with Scryers. Not counting actual cash looted, the combination of vendor trash, greens to DE, cloth made into Netherweave Bags and the rep items added up to nearly 200g per set of 5 runs, and the actual looting only took maybe 30 seconds or out of each run. That equates to around 350g per hour, which is pretty close to what I can make from quest rewards and drops doing Molten Front dailies - and I can farm these recipes all day long. So, while this was a pretty darned boring exercise, at least I was getting decent compensation for my time. Moral of the story - don't look down your nose at this trash - LOOT IT!

Im currently hunting this pattern too. Up to the first boss, there is no way how to avoid trash fight (if u are not rogue or druid, ofc), since the hallways are too confined and trash too concentrated. As 386 arms warrior, i run right through trash to the first boss, turn recklessness and bladestorm all the trash chasing me. The only tricky thing in the way are those hawkbirds, since they charge you and stun for two second, which gives the chasing trash time to catch u. Its fair to say, that this run is usually very close (even on normal difficulty) and i even died couple of times or had to release the bladestorm earlier.

Then its possible to run through the whole instance directly to the last boss with no single encounter. With looting the corpses i bladestorm at the beginning, this whole takes 5 minutes.

I run the instance on heroic today and don't drop. I was thinking of running tomorrow when the lock reset but then I see that both patters says "This item drops in both Normal and Heroic modes." so I run the instance in normal 11 times before get bored for the message about entering too many times on instances and none of them drops.

is a mistake from wowhead or the patters actually drops on normal mode?

This does drop on normal. Kill the boss did not gte it go outside and reset to try again. Heroic is once daily but normal you can reset

Thankfully you don't have to run back to the beginning to reset. Why can't all dungeons have a convenient exit? Normal 2 runs dropped.
