I failed this mission, is Ulna Thresher lost forever for me?

Blizzard assumes that you completed the quest Ashran Appearance (horde) or Ashran Appearance (alliance) to get the follower Vivianne who will give you a 100% chance to get Ulna.

If you failed this mission and didn't get Ulna, no sweat. Build a level 2 garrison, build a level 1 Inn, complete the weekly quest to get a new follower and select for Magic Debuff ability counters.
Granted, you did lose out on a chance to get an epic follower, but at least you can cover yourself for countering Magic Debuff (followers that counter this are rare-ish).

I also failed this mission. At the current moment I am keeping one of my followers at 90 to see if that will help bring the lvl 90 missions back.

I have seen a few 90 missions re-surfs back up again.

I will let you all know if I ever get her mission to show back up.

I can't find anything from blizzard saying that the missions won't re-circulate later. Why is everyone so certain you can't get her through the missions again? Simply because we haven't seen her yet? Have people seen other missions repeated? To date I have not noticed a repeat yet but they couldn't have made enough to last the full xpac, could they? Eventually they will have to start recycling?

here's what blizzard had to say to me about this..

"I understand that you were looking into getting some followers from some Garrison Missions. Currently if you missed your chance at these specific quest you will not get a chance to try them again unless starting a new character. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. "

not cool, 'here's a thing you don't understand that we mae hard to do and you can't screw up even once or you loose this cool thing!'

~~MAKE SURE you have a 100% success rate on this mission. If you fail it, Ulna will be unobtainable for that specific toon.~~ You only get one shot at success with this mission. Very poor design by Blizzard in my opinion. When I received this mission on my main I was still fumbling and learning about followers and missions and failed with an 87% success rate. Now Ulna is unobtainable on my main toon and being a collector, I'm pretty upset about it.

EDIT: You can now buy this follower from Nalya Battlehorn in your Garrison if you failed the mission originally. She sells other followers as well including the two you DIDN'T choose from the Frostfire Story line. quest. Ulna only costs 10g which I am really happy about:)

I see you'd never accepted the mission Stonefury Rescue, but haven't seen it pop up! Right now our developers are evaluating the missions that reward these followers due to cases such as yours, where the mission has expired. That said, as this mission has come and gone from your log due to timing out, at this time it would not be able to be completed, but may show up in your mission roster in the future.

However, should you be eager to obtain Ulna, you may be able to purchase her contract from the Auction House! Contract: Ulna Thresher is consumed, and not bound, so players are known to resell these regularly. :)

You can access this by hitting Esc while in the game, and then clicking on Help, and Submit Suggestion. I just acquired this follower despite having failed the original mission. As mentioned, you can buy the contract for this follower (as well as others) on the auction house. So, you would think you could simply get the contract on an alt, then transfer it to you main. Unfortunately it wasn't that simple.

When you complete the mission, you'll automatically have your follower added to your list. In order to get the contract as an item, you'll have to fill up your bags. This will make the postman send the contract to you via mail instead. Sadly, even that won't be enough.

Once you accept the mail, the follower will *again* be added to your list automatically. You can, however, put the contract up on the auction house directly from your mailbox. Install the WoW armory app to your phone and it will (apparently) count all the items in your bag, bank and mail as the same. The contract will show up in the list of items you can auction out, even if you haven't looted the mail.

Sadly, you can't buy your own auctions, so you might have to get her contract on a different account or get a friend to do it on their alt. I read on some other forum that people had been selling Experience tokens (character XP, not follower) this way as well, but I can't confim whether or not that's true.

The way to obtain these followers through contracts on the auction house is a lot more trouble than it should be. At the very least they shouldn't be added to your list of followers automatically.

I also missed out on Ulna Thresher on my main character, must have used wrong follower to do her garrison mission so after reading comments below about possible AH sightings, I decided to have a look.
What I came across was a listing on Horde AH for Daleera Moonfang which I assumed was an alliance version somehow listed but I thought, why not it's 200G.
On taking the contract for Daleera from mailbox and learning it I was surprised to see the message:-

You receive item: .
is now your follower.

Happy at result but surprised all the same so if you're looking for this follower, keep an eye on AH for Daleera too :)

We have some really cool changes coming to Garrisons in the future and a lot of them are based on what you've shared with us in recent weeks. Also, I've relayed many of the ideas you've posted here, too.

One specific change I can share is in the next patch we're planning to add a new NPC to tier 3 Garrisons who will sell followers you might not have access to based upon which buildings and Outposts you've chosen. Definitely keep an eye out for that on the next PTR, test it out, and let us know what you think.

Yup! You'll be able to browse for followers you did not choose from quests and any you might have missed from failed missions.

I hope that Ulna gets a chep price, unlike the stupidly high prices I saw from her contract, otherwise, this is a really good new for all of us, inviterate completist.

Contract can be bought now. For those who didn't know everything about garrisons from the very start ((And shame on you for not knowing everything ever forever =P)) You can now buy it for a mere ten gold!

I apparently failed the quest originally, because I did not have Daleera Moonfang / Ulna Thresher as a follower after quite a while... (19 other followers). My garrison was at level 3. Nalya Battlehorn was there, but had no contracts. Today, the level 90 mission Stonefury Rescue showed up on my board. I was glad to see it because I had given up on it ever showing back up.

Moral: Don't give up hope!
