Hi,
I was looking for a macro that would link my 2 professions along with a short text to the trade channel.
Something like:
Crafting and
against materials and tips.
While I was looking for said macro i found this on wowwiki:
/script SendChatMessage(select(2,GetSpellLink("Jewelcrafting"))..select(2,GetSpellLink("Blacksmithing")),"CHANNEL",nil,GetChannelName("Trade - City"));
However using this macro only resulted in the first Profession link beeing poste in the tradechannel; is this macro borked/outdated or am I doing it wrong?
Also where would I enter the text that I like to have poste in the trade channel, sorry I'm not very well versed with wow macros.
Thanks in advance.

I think that might be asking too much for 255 characters. I don't know how to explain it, other than, when you try to link two profession links in trade back to back it seems like those links take up a lot more space than they should as far as character count goes.
Yes that could be true since you can't link two professions in one line, even by hand.
But splitting it in two lines should definitly be possible and thats what I was looking for anyway, see example given at the top.

Try this:/run local s,g=SendChatMessage,GetSpellLink s("Crafting "..select(2,g("Jewelcrafting")).." and","CHANNEL",nil,GetChannelName("Trade - City"))s(select(2,g("Blacksmithing")).." against materials and tips.","CHANNEL",nil,GetChannelName("Trade - City"))

Thanks this one works fine :)
