I'm just posting to ask a question, what Heirlooms should i take to level up my shadow priest?
And can someone link me a good build to level with as well?
Thanks in advance.

if you have 200ish StoneKeeper's shards to burn.

if you have badges to burn.
The XP bonus on these is the same... and 10% extra xp rocks for leveling. :D

There aren't really many choices to pick from. You've got cloth shoulders, a caster staff, and two trinkets for spellpower and haste. If you've got the emblems to spend to get all of them, then you can expect some really smooth leveling.
As for leveling build, Shadow is tried and true. Don't even bother with those going for Holy dps builds, even before level 40. Even if the dps is higher, you're going to be having a whole lot more downtime and food costs.
With a standard Shadow build you should have smooth chain pulling without hardly ever needing to stop for a drink. In the long run, that'll get you leveled much faster in comparison.
Your best bet is taking Spirit Tap 3/3 on the spot and getting Mind Flay at level 20. The rest is pretty self explanatory. For leveling you judge talents based on immediate returns versus long term returns: when leveling take the immediate returns first.

Im currently doing the same as you. i have all Hierlooms and have enchanted everything that i can so here is my advice.
Weapon -
Enchant Weapon - Spellpower
Legs -
Mystic Spell thread
Shoulders -
Greater Inscription of the Gladiator
(10k honour)
If you want an example, here is my level 25 characters.
Aim to get as much intellect and spirit as possible.

Which is exactly why you go Holy pre-40, once you have 3/3 Spirit Tap. Low level Shadow offers very little to a Priest; it's only once you start getting close to getting Shadowform that you'll get any real benefit from going Shadow, when everything starts to fit together.
Mind Flay is rubbish until rank 3/4, Imp SW:P doesn't give you much extra damage, both Imp STap and Blackout are of arguable use, Shadow Focus doesn't do much for you, you're not fussed about casting MB on cooldown, VS is worthless, Shadow Reach is nice but doesn't help your damage or downtime, SWeaving can be a pain in the arse to keep stacked.
Holy, on the other hand, offers you a fair amount of bang for your buck. If I was going to level another Priest, I would probably look to having a build something like
this
.Once you've hit 40, you're then obviously free to respec to get Shadowform if you wish.
Granted, however with every talent point you get in shadow, you gain damage. Your critical rating wont be that high even with 5/5 in the talent. it will probably sit at 12%. So the majority of those proc's wont happen, hence why i leave Imp. Spirit tap out (i feel its more for longevity in raiding anyway).
As i said before. with every talent point and every level (if your using hierlooms) your stats and damage will increase. Upon reaching level 40, you will as massive boost in output.
if you wish to see how the heirlooms scale

The staff does not scale well in terms of spelpower, however with the 30+sp enchant on it, its the best thing you can find. The most efficient spell power item is by far the trinket. I recommend getting the shoulders (with the glad enchant on if you can get it) and the Beast trinket first. then work your way to the other trinket, follow by the staff.
I can solo any mob 4 levels higher than me on my priest or my level 23 mage with these items. They are worth getting

No your not. Nor are you getting any talents that reduce the mana cost of Smite, Holy fire or anything else your using (probably shadow spells!) Each time you gain a rank in the holy spells the mana cost increases. It doesn't matter how much spirit you have. Sooner or later you will go OOM or need to drink after every other mob simply because you are using spell with a high mana cost.
Looking at shadow on the other hand. Mind flay is still the most efficient spell in the game in terms of damage per mana. You have
Shadow Focus
early on in leveling and also
Focused Mind
at around 30. Each reducing the mana cost of key spell further while other talent boost damage.
Heirlooms are important here as the OP is saying he has access to them. So it doesn't make sense to leave them out of the equation.
It easy terms. Holy does give bang for your buck, however as you go up in levels and gain more ranks in those spells, the mana cost increases substantially. In the shadow tree, Your gaining all round mana reduction early on and increases in damage as you level up. To me, that is why shadow is the best leveling spec. Lower costs + Higher damage output = win for me

with the changes to the 1st tier come 3.1 in shadow, we get a 10% increase in damage. Shadow will pretty much be the leveling spec chosen by the majority of priests as the damage output will be very hefty.
However im worried abut that blizzard have said about enchanting heirlooms.

i forgot to add
Discerning eye of the beast
Is not unique-equiped. You can use two and get 4% mana back each kill plus the spell power bonus

Last time I checked, it did pretty awful DPS/DPM compared to pretty much anything else at that level (Smiting, Wanding). May well have changed since then.
I forget what the talent was called, but we dont get 25% more damage to wands anymore. Wands are still great as a mana saver and as a filler at low levels, but they don't do quite the damage they used to.
