I'm playing Enhancment Shaman (Dranei) and after browsing several options found that the best weapons are only made or obtained from Arena.
Is there any good weapons for stormstrike spec prior to Arena and End game instances/Raid

The Blacksmithing weapons are quite the awesomeness too, but BS is very expensive to level. I'd go for arena weapons.

Blacksmithing would be the best choice im thinking though the mats make you want to stab kittens, especially for the tier 3 stuff. Well worth it though, really depends on what you would get faster. If your in a 1800+ team then by all means forget about BS but if your lower then thats you will probably get your smithing stuff done faster.

I'm currently L57 and will be leveled swiftly with my Guild help.
My proffesions are Alchemy i though leveling this proffesion to gather some money to rollover to BS.
But untill i level BS and reach Axesmith (which looks the most suitable for Shamans then Macesmith)
For
Fel Edged Battleaxe
or
Tier 3 - Wicked Edge of the Planes
but by then i'll have better axes/maces from Karazhan...
It's sad that the best weapons are only from Arena
Are there any alternatives that i might be missing?

Some heavy handed modding going on here. The original post deleted, my one (fair enough), the one quoting a line of my one...
Just deleting without explanation might not be the best method imo - and will keep you very busy as this place fills out.
I deleted my own reply, since it wasn't appropriate to the context of this thread.
But I still blame Miyari!

Actually the best choice is to dual wield two
Syphons of the Nathrezim
if you have access to it. Other valid solutions are in order to have in MH a
Dragonstrike
and in OH a
Merciless Gladiator's Pummeler
; to have in MH a
Dragonmaw
and in OH a Merciless Gladiator's Pummeler; dual wielding two Pummelers.

I'll choose Arena Weapons instead Macesmith
Because i won't be going into Raids ayntime soon for the mats and Drops.
the only problem with Macesmith is it's missing the Shaman needed Hit , Crit rating which are better then Haste rating. (correct me if i'm wrong)
So it seems i'll be swinging and crying with my
Ripsaw
(with Crusader)

There is an UNHEALTHY amount of poor and incorrect information being tossed around in this thread. Instead of trying to explain things my self, I recommend you all read this thread on

The blacksmithing weapons are hardly a comparible weapon of choice for arena.
In order to equal the dps of the merciless weapons you would have to upgrade the weapon to tier3 level. Which in turn requires getting to 375 blacksmithing, grinding the heroics to get primal nether, access to second tier 25man raids and the dkp required to get the nether vortex's.
The only weapons that are worth that kind of work are the Stormherald and soon to be Lionheart Executioner, due to the upcoming mace nerf.
Not only are you making it out to be more difficult than it really is, your addressing things that don't particularly relate to Shaman, such as the inability to use swords.
Getting materials for upgrading your weapons are not a difficult task. Heroic groups should not be an issue at all. I gathered all nethers (for Dragonmaw, and Deep Thunder), as Enhancement. Upgrading to the third tier should not be difficult at all either, other than bad drop rates on the Nethers.

It has been debated in length that haste will hurt our DPS, but only when brought to a certain speed, for a lengthy amount of time.

I don't know terribly much about shaman, but at great risk of proclaiming the obvious, I will say that the 'slower is better' mantra applies to a shaman's offhand weapon as well as their mainhand.

Yes that is the basic rule for us. The ideal situation is two slow equal speed weapons, such as two Syphons of the Nathrezim.
Same speed is key, so that there is an equal chance to proc Windfury on both weapons. If you are using a dagger in your off hand, you are getting weak Windfury procs, and for very very low damage. Windfury on your offhand doesnt take the off hand penalty, which makes it the optimal choice no matter what. But the speed of the weapon will be hitting faster than the main hand, thus, "stealing procs". Sure you could use two 1.30 daggers... same chance to proc, but its a rediculous hurt to your DPS, and Stormstrikes.
Slow speeds is so that you get the MOST out of your Stormstrikes, since you swing both weapons at the same time, it only makes even more sense to have two slow weapons, for the big Stormstrike hits, and Windfury procs.

And no, another weapon enchant on your OH (like Flametongue) will lower your dmg even more than having a fast OH-weapon enchanted with Windfury.
Yes its true that all other Shaman enchants will NOT surpass the DPS achieved with two Windfuries with two slow weapons.
