Jut interested in reading some opinions on the new expansion for WOW and the Level 90 character"boost" given for pre-ordering! So...is it a good thing....or not?

Since a person boosting has no effect on my play time: It's a good thing as it will let new players actually be able to play with their friends.
But as pretty much every single boost topic that comes up on Wowhead says: People like it, people hate it, and the large majority don't give a crap.

I like it because it's given me a chance to a class I would never have gotten around to otherwise.
I had four 90s, and when my friend suggested a new arena team (for fresh characters) I was wary of leveling; so I pre-ordered WoD, knowing that I was going to purchase it at some point anyway, and boosted a shaman. I would not have leveled up a shaman from the beginning, but the boost let me skip that process and get right into working on a set of PvP gear.
I don't think it grants any unfair advantages to those who use the boost, so I feel like it's fair. In fact, playing a new class with all the abilities you haven't gotten used to over the course of your climb from 1-90 feels somewhat overwhelming and takes some work. So I'm an easy target on the Isle of Thunder while I do my PvP dailies. Advantage: other guys.
To me it feels like it's opened up doors I wouldn't have had access to without the boost feature, without detracting from anyone else's experience. That's to be taken with a grain of salt, however; if I had boosted a warrior and attempted tanking right off the bat, I probably would have hindered some other people for the duration of the dungeons, etc. That probably is happening, too. So there's a counter-argument... but it's not very different from someone who levels up a warrior in Arms and then switches to Protection at 90, except they'd have
some
familiarity with some of the abilities.

Been a few posts on this one, but to me it is a positive move on Blizzards behalf in terms of bringing back older players who would want to just jump in and get involved with their old guild mates etc. Same goes for the paid boosts, if someone has been through the content time and again and would like to get one of their chars up with their others, where is the harm.

i agree with the majority playing on the boost..as 1 have 19 90's with #20 on the way(the hard way) i can see why player coming back do not want to have to go through it all again. but the biggest issue was that people were selling the 90's on eBay and now it seems to have killed that service so one less way for banned people to get back into the game, and that's a good thing. All that's left is the ah needs fixing (2000g for a lvl 5 item) and the gold selling. and the game will have no more downsides. love the boost!

It is excellent. I have done 1-90 five times and 1-85 8 times and I am sick of it. Most of that content is awesome, I am have just done it enough. Leveling doesn't teach people to play a classes, everything pre 85 is a complete unblanced mess and most pre 90 is as well.
