I have a few ideas.
Paladin:
Pegasus
. 1.5 sec cast
Available at lvl 90 - taught by factions paladin leader
The paladin has bound his holy spirit to one of these mythical beasts and summons it from the light itself
This is a very fast flying mount that is not an account level mount.
Warlock:
Winged Dread Steed
. 1.5 sec cast
Available at lvl 90 - quest required to unlock - not account wide
The warlock uses an ancient demonic tome to adhere flaming dread wings to his or her Dread Steed. This permanently changes the dread steed into a flying mount and is not an account wide mount.
Druid:
Guise Of The Raven Lord
. Instant Cast
Available at lvl 88 - quest required to unlock - not account wide
The druid infuses his or her spirit with a Raven Lord Demi-God and acquires the ability to take its form in flight. This form is much larger than the current flight form and resembles a recolored version of the raven lord in Sethekk Halls. Would be able to take a passenger as well.
Monk:
Essence Of The Jade Serpent
1.5 sec cast.
Available at lvl 90 - Quest required - not account wide
Through great meditation and study of the teachings of the Jade Serpent, Yulon, the Monk transcends knowledge of the sacred celestial being into a physical form giving him or her the ability to soar through the skies in this smaller semi-transparent version of the Jade Serpent.
Mage:
Disc Of The Kirin'Tor
(Disc Of The Sunreaver for horde)
1.5 sec cast
Available at lvl 90 - Quest required - not account wide
After achieving a great level of power and knowledge rivaled only by the greatest archmagi of Dalran, the mage has learned to weave the arcane energies of Azeroth's lay lines into a solid blue runed disc that is an ever shifting platform of arcane runes. Functions similarly to the Lorewalkers mount.
Hunter:
Beast Of Burden:
1.5 sec cast.
Available at lvl 90 - Quest required - not account wide
The hunter has not only trained many beasts to fight at his command but after hearing of a massive hawk (vulture for horde) roaming the country side, will use one for transportation. Upon successfully taming this beast in a solo scenario he has gained a sturdy companion that will take him wherever he pleases. This mount is unsaddled and unarmored and resembles the giant hawks of Hyjal. Colors will vary based on race of Hunter. Hunter does not mount the bird and is instead carried by it in its enormous talons.
Priest:
Carried By The Light:
1.5 sec cast
Available at lvl 90 - Quest required - not account wide
The priest learns that through the light all things are possible, Even defying gravity. Through years of using the light to shield him or herself the Priest discovers how to move the lights shielding. An orb of golden light surrounds the Priest and he gains the ability to fly through the air inside this orb. This orb is ONLY usable in places where flying is allowed (not a ground mount also) but upon dismissing this mount the priest is shielded with a standard priest bubble. Note: the mount is not a shield also but casts it on the priest upon canceling the mount. Does not activate priest bubble cooldown. not usable in BGs or Arenas.
Rogue:
Stowaway:
instant cast
Available at lvl 90 - taught by factions lead rogue trainer - not account wide
Rogues have long considered their own needs over things like the law or rules. The rogue has over the years found that mounting takes too much time and makes too much noise. The rogue can now hitch a ride with anyone in his or her party or raid but has no control over where the mount goes. While the rogue is on the other players mount they are considered stealthed and upon leaving the mount or being removed from it via the person who owns it dismounting the rogue vanishes. Does not use vanish CD. Not usable in BGs or Arenas
ALTERNATE ROGUE MOUNT:
Stealth Mount:
1.5 sec cast
Available at lvl 90 - taught by factions lead rogue trainer - not account wide
The rogue has spent so long in the presence of his mounts that they have learned to stealth as he stealths. Once cast the next mount the rogue summons will be a standard mount except stealthed. Not usable in BGs or Arenas.
I have nothing for Warrior or Shaman... Maybe someone can come up with one

Hmm i would skip
warlocks/paladins/druids (cause flightform) and monks (cause float something spell)/Deathknight
and add mounts for classes that do not have them first.
what too give most classes as a fitting mount, well i have no idea really.
geuss a shaman could ride a wind elemental.
and an hunter a giant owl
priest could get something with wings, kinda like val'kyr mode.
but warrior, rogue, mage (well i wanna say carpet, but those are already in tailoring)

Warlock mount - Eye of Kilrogg, would be badass to transform into an eye and just zoom off into the sky.

Warriors should have a deranged horse, similar to Peters race horse in Family Guy. It should run weird, be hard to steer, occassionaly refuse to move and show up unexpeced and just stare at you. Lets say you are tnking a instance boss...and suddenly your mount just shows up behind you...just standing there bing really crepy.

I think shamans should have a totem mount. They'd sit upon it and fly.
I can't help thinking a Warrior turning themself into a helicopter by spinning really, really fast would be hilarious.
Marry me.

Warrior: Armored Scorpion or something like that
Could have swords and spikes on the sides

I love both ideas for the rogue mounts, although I don't see why the first one could not be used in bg's. It wouldn't be that much different than 2 seat mounts now.

I really like the idea that Priests could get angelic wings and fly themselves around...
Shaman on a wind elemental is a cool idea too!
Also, Warlock morphing into an Eye of Kilrogg is an amazing idea. Kudos to all for input.

Thank you. I will do that.

I think a rat-type mount for a rogue would be clever.
If they changed the cloud mount thing for monks to actually fly fast, that would make me happy.
As for warriors, I think some sort of rhino, mushan, or other large wandering beast would be cool.

Druids already have a bevy of travel options, but perhaps just a short term super speed boost ability instead of an extra mount? Give them an Emerald Dream themed 60 sec boost to 450%? ( or 200% on ground? though that might unbalance travel form in PvP)
Warlocks having the ability to ride on the back of their Terrorfiend, or to turn in to a meteor like an Infernal. I can't shake the image of a gnome or goblin named MasterBlaster on the back of a giant Demon, or a Blood Elf being carried around in the arms of a Shivarra......
For Shaman I really like the tornado idea - alternately the "earth-burrowing" skill that we get to see Aggra use in the rescue of Earthen Thrall quest.
It's been brought up for years, but Hunters able to use any tamed pet as a mount would be awesome. Flying pets for flying mount, ground pets for ground mount.
How about for Warriors a recycled, non-battling siege wagon or tank?
For priest - an angelic flight form that can be glyphed to Val'kyr?
Paladin - everything is so hammer themed any way - just give them a Mjolnir-like hammer of light that flies them around like Thor.
Mage - A floating mage buffet table ? ;)
The Rogue "hitchhiker" idea is great - but why limit it to mounts? It'd be awesome to see a gnome rogue riding piggyback on a Draenai, or an orc rogue on a goblin.
For Monk the jade serpent thing is a no-brainer, but what about the balloons that are in use in various places in Pandaria....
Too bad Ghostcrawler's not around to deny me my hot-air balloon :D

Monk Hot air balloon is cool and I thought of that but what about say an undead monk... Forsaken have no ties to hot air ballons not that things like that stop blizz from this type of stuff. The druid idea is cool too.

If any one class got to fly with wings, all the other classes would be majorly butthurt that they don't get to.

Those would look hilarious going at top flying mount speed....

I sense much butthurt potential from other classes for this one, too. Or maybe that's just the Thor fangirl in me.

No arguments there. On the other hand, no matter what they do, some population is going to end up with the hurt bums over it.

True, but no crazier than the Heart of the Aspects looks trying to fly, or how odd it is seeing a Tauren ride a goat. (the poor, poor goat...)
And if they implement it as a multi-passenger mount, and you could drop a rope ladder to allow them to mount up while you are 30-40 yards up....
all aesthetic oddness and physics defying mechanics would be forgiven.....

True, saddest of all is a tauren riding some kind of hawkstrider/lovebird. Seriously though, I think sprouting wings that let you fly is on a whole other level of 'better item/spell.' To be honest, wings would just look ridiculous on some races (I already think tauren paladins are ridiculous enough - and I love tauren).
