I'd like to know how each class does well/not so well in battlegrounds and pvp... help?

I find that I get killed way too easily in battlegrounds, I've played a warlock, mage and hunter a thousand times therefore my being killed easily has nothing to do with my skills not being up to par in terms of playing the particular class.
I always tend to feel rather inferior in comparison to my teammates in battlegrounds, alliance and horde, because I get killed by an opposite opponent in 3 seconds and even people 3 levels below me take me ten years to kill by myself despite being higher level and having the best gear possible for my level.
so...
What class has highest damage/dps? I've heard warriors and rogues have high damage, is this true?
I also have heard warlocks and mages tend to have good survivability and yet whenever I play a battleground w/ those chars. I die rather easily even with all my ass saving spells.
How do paladins and hunters do in bg's?
I know this can be an opinionated question but whatever.
please let me know your thoughts, thanks :)

That's because their a ranged cloth class. They're meant to fight from afar, not up front and personal like a warrior or paladin because cloth has practically no armor stats.
people 3 levels below me take me ten years to kill by myself despite being higher level and having the best gear possible for my level.
That's because of scaling. And don't worry too much about low lvl bg's, they're the single most messed up thing within the game. If you have a lot of trouble at 90, then you should be worried
And if you're aiming to twink or play low lvl bg's choose disc priest, they're practically a healer and dps loaded into one at low lvls.

Use the "Fel Armor" warlock ability, which makes you a literal tank.
Don't care too much about the advantages of plate having a higher "Armor". It doesn't do much in practice.
Make sure to use "Grimoire of Sacrfice" to give yourself additonal regneration.
Warlocks also have alot of other ways to tank damage, indeed they're the most durable class in the game at the momment bar stonewalling warriors and death knights (Who do mediocre damage when they try to stonewall).
