My wife wants to play WOW something I am actually very happy about!
I was wondering if she was to take the warlock demonology would that be too complex a toon for her? I haven't played a warlock so I just don't know if it's a great idea to start a new person on playing a demo warlock.
She seems extremely set on summoning evil pets so I guess I am stuck on trying to help her play it. I was also wondering if a Blood elf lock would be a good idea.
Thank for the time yous take to help me and my wife out.

Hiya,
I'd love for my wife to show an interest, it would give me the motivation to resub early from the break I'm on.
If she games at all I would say it's not too complicated. I loved playing a Demo lock and got a lot of good advice here:
http://www.noxxic.com/wow/pve/warlock/demonology/dps-rotation-and-cooldowns
It's set up for a 90 and how to max out DPS but should give both you and her a good choice.
As far as a starting race goes, advise she picks who she likes looking at best.
Enjoy!

Thanks a lot!
I am renewed in the fact that she is going to play. She was the "popular holier then thou art" typed person in school so after all of these years it has taken much persistence on my part but she did indeed crack and wants to start to play.
Here is some friendly advice... persistence and a few "deals" will persuade her to play. Like for instance. "Hun, I will wash the dishes for a month if you try it out and give it a chance" That my friend was the deal breaker.
I have a feeling she will not make 90 anytime in the near future. So patients in this case is more then just a virtue.
She picked the Blood Elf so that was why U was asking if it was a good Idea. So many people go by racials so I figured I would ask. Arcane t doesn't seem that bad at all.
Thanks again!

Warlocks are pretty complex, there is a lot of tools.. but you can say that about almost all classes I guess...
I would suggest a hunter, she can tame evil looking pets and actually NAME them and collect them in the wild i guess you could say.
Hunter is kind of mindless and nice for learning

Thanks for the info, it is always good to get a few points of view. My wife is a wonderfully smart woman however. If i give her something mindless she may get bored or worse take offense. I am going to stick to the lock. if i have trouble you can always say i told you hunter did i not? Lmao thanks a lot yous guys

I was going to suggest a hunter too, as my hunter is far and away my favorite, and they are very easy to level ( I object to the class being called mindless though!) I've never played a lock, but I'd guess they probably are easy to level also because they are a pet class.
Hunters have many many more choices for pets than warlocks. Petopia is a good resource for browsing available pets. Also, hunters pets' role can easily be swapped, from dps<>tank regardless of looks, but I think don't think lock pets can.
If your wife is not enjoying the game, make sure to get her to try other classes before she just gives up, because she may not have started with the class that suits her best. My roommate's first toon, and first she leveled to 90 was a hunter, but nowadays she vastly prefers her paladin, and leveled one up to max on both horde and alliance.
Grats on your persistence paying off, WoW is so much more fun with a partner ;)

A lot of people have actually mentioned that a hunter would be in her best interest.
I will do whatever it takes to keep her interested, so in that I will keep in mind a Hunter would be the next option if she gives up on the lock. She has been reading up on a few things which to me is amazing since she doesn't read anything at all.
She wants to be on the Horde as a blood elf. I myself fancy Orcs... so from now on its FTH! haha!
Thank you much for the insight.
