I've logged in on wowhead many times throughout the years, always ensuring I check "Stay logged in". In 2007-2009, this feature worked. Nowadays, though, it invariably doesn't keep me logged in between sessions.

I occasionally have an issue with this, but the fix I have found is to clear all the wowhead/zam related cookies and then it goes away for long periods of time.

When you click the box to stay logged in, Wowhead asks your browser to store a
cookie
with your login data on your computer. The next time you visit Wowhead, it will ask for that cookie. If it exists on your computer, your browser will send its contents and Wowhead will log you in without you having to type your account name or password.
Your browser will have to be set to accept cookies for this feature to work. Also, if your browser is set to delete cookies between sessions, the cookie will be deleted each time you close your browser window, so you'd need to either adjust that setting or manually submit your log-in credentials each time you visit Wowhead after previously closing your browser.
The method to adjust cookie settings varies depending on the browser software that you use. If your cookie settings are good, most browsers allow you to force sites to ask for permission to store cookies and view stored cookies. You can use this setting to ensure that Wowhead is requesting your computer to store a cookie and that your computer is storing the cookie properly.
