Karazhan (a.k.a. Medivh's Tower) is an abandoned citadel (or castle) located in southern Deadwind Pass. The tower is best known for its last known occupant — Medivh, the last Guardian of Tirisfal.
While under his control Sargeras allowed Medivh to freely explore Karazhan. As a result of the region's weakened reality (caused by an explosion), many strange and disturbing visions lurked within the tower, and Moroes was known for wearing blinders to avoid seeing them. The visions were ultimately ended when most of Karazhan's ambient magical power was absorbed by the resurrected Medivh, reducing it to "a pile of stone in the remote reaches", its power taken to serve the Prophet.
I wish to discuss the possibilities of Karazhan being used by the alliance. What we know is that is has a vast amount of space inside the tower itself, it could host some form of leadership and many follower’s (Army if you so choose), Also Karazhan has a bailey which may have enough room for a small village, allowing for citizens outside and possibly inside the tower as well.
First and foremost:
The Karazhan gryphon roost is leftover from the planning phase of Karazhan. Before the teleport to Aran's room was implemented, the original plan was to have a flight path that connected to the top of Karazhan for the convenience of groups who had already cleared most of the instance.
Essentially we already have a point in which we can fly into the area from a flight master or by mount, there is an iron door blocking the way to a portal currently which could be used as an entrance to the tower. Alternatively there could be an NPC similar to the wyrnrest accord tower which could take you up and down the tower via a flying mount.
Now my opinion why:
Karzhan has many hidden treasures/artifacts, some of which may help give power to the alliance. (I do not side entirely with the alliance however it would be nice to see them have another main city or area and see the human population rise again)
It has the room to hold a lot of people in its walls
It is well hidden behind the dredges of Deadwind Pass
It is close enough to Stormwind to trade but not so far that a trader would need to pass by any horde settlements
It would open the area up a lot for further story and growth (I imagine a large bridge would then connect Elwynn Forrest and Duskwood for faster travel directly over the river)
With the recent war with the horde it only makes sense to have another establishment
With the recent destruction from Deathwing and still broken down Stormwind, i would think the humans would want another location/city, the citizens would surely fear another attack (Deathwing or not)
The homeless people of Westfall need somewhere to live, this would seem the perfect location to house them and put them to work, and they could set up farms and bring livestock into the area. (Clearing the Ogres may be a task for a hero or militia)
With Darkshire so close by many humans could join the 'Nigh#$%^ch' and have farther scouting parties, and with the possibility of a Karazhan (?) Army Duskwood would stand a very good chance at becoming once again a farming zone Addle's stead, The (now) Rotting Orchard & The Yorgen farmstead could be turned into fully functional farms just as the humans did in Felstone Field, Dalson's Farm
The brave and foolish are still relentlessly drawn to Karazhan, tempted by rumors of unspeakable secrets and powerful treasures
Please discuss, give opinions and question my thought's.
Please leave negative behaviour at the door (includes spelling and grammar mistakes)

I don't think either the Alliance or Horde will claim Karazhan. I think they'll just leave it to the undead haunting the place. Even with the demons gone, it would be like trying to clear the Eastern Plaugelands of the Scourge.

Why in the world would people want to live in Deadwind Pass? Nothing can grow there, there are massive infestations of gigantic arachnids, a clan of ogres make it their home, and of course...there is the madness of Karazhan itself, with thousands of restless undeads all over the place.
As for Kara: It belongs to the progeny of Medivh, so Med'an and Khadgar would have first dibs on the place, and considering how many secrets are hidden there, there is no way that Khadgar would let either faction take the place over; the whole 'weapons in the hands of babes' aspect.

Wait, says who? Medivh didn't build it. It was there way before him, he just lived in it. Not to mention, did he ever decree that in his will? Are there primogenitor laws, etc?
This may be semantics, but we have no way of knowing who is the rightful owner of the tower, if there even is one.

Since there were specialized messages waiting for both Khadgar and Med'an in the Tower(see Last Guardian and the comic series), it does seem as if Medivh had effectively claimed it as his own; he was also responsible for the majority of the enhancements to the Tower(seen in Last Guardian, quests for the Violet Eye). At this point, it would seem as the most obvious heirs to the Tower are Khadgar(only person Medivh truly trusted) and his son.

The actual tower had been built long before Medivh, though. That's like saying that someone rented a building for awhile and painted it, so it was their's.
I'm talking complete legality here. Whether or not Medivh lived there is irrelevant. What matters is whether he actually owned it to leave it to someone.

Most of the problems in Kara were the result of Medivh though...well Sargeras working through him anyways. He had claimed the Tower, so it would make sense that it would go to Khadgar or Med'an..or to the Council of Tirisfal. The Alliance or the Horde wouldn't have a claim on it, and it's not really a place that normal people can live in; Moroes and the Cook made that clear, since they had on special blinders to keep the madness from the Tower infecting them.

Once again, though, none of that actually gives them the right to the tower. It gives them the ability, but not the right.

Gives them more of a right then any of the factions to claim it.

Amdamsm brings up a good point. It would be an ideal location for the Council of Trisfal to situate themselves in as a headquarters, current Trisfal not exactly being ideal right now. For the power ritual as well, particularly after how badly the whole pocket dimension thing worked out.

Realy? Medivh gave me the vibe that bult the tower becouse of the ley-lines (thought sunwell and nexus have more) or magic crater there and ofcourse that the time in the tower works like a hourglas.
However there might be some line of text I might have missed.

You think perhaps she will take it, go crazy with power and become a future raid boss?
That would be nice given her portrayal in the end cinematic of garrosh's ending as the warchief, did anyone else get a really
b*tchy
messed up vibe from her?
