i've always been in the rat race, and to be blunt, it killed the whole purpose of the game.
today, I started an orc warrior. I read every quest one at a time really slowly immersed as the orc warrior himself. I did the quests calmly and patiently the way I would handle thinsg in real life, and everything seeems to smooth in soo beautiful. I refuse to look at the map (M key) though.
Played about 1 hour, and it was very refreshing and enjoyable. this will help me memorize the maps and add value to the work that i've been doing
rather than accepting a quest, clicking on map, and going to that location. i won't be doing that anymore on this account.
im not on a RP server, but in my head, im role playing and treating npcs as real entities....

I always loved the exploration side of WoW, you get such a sense of wanderlust if you just head out into the world without a specific goal in mind and either explore or do quests. The prospect of running into enemy players on the way made it all that much more enjoyable too.
If you ever do feel like RPing with other players though, I'm sure you could pick up some good advice from the veterans here... And there's always forum-based RP if you're interested - you'd be more than welcome - it certainly helps out lore-wise and immersion-wise ;)
