I haven't played affliction lately, but I can comment on destro.
Try to keep your embers *almost* maxed out throughout the fight. Right before you hit capped embers, cast a chaos bolt. Keep an eye on your procs from trinks and jade spirit and if you can, cast those CB's when those are up. Try not to waste backdraft on CB, but use it for quick incinerates to build embers.
For Meg specifically, make sure to make use of your Dark Soul during the repeated execute phase -- wait for multiple trinket procs, then pop Dark Soul and go to town on your Shadowburn. Do NOT wait until 20% to use Dark Soul though, because the head will die too fast, and you'll end up wasting some uptime during the transition phase. I also place my rain of fire so it hits both heads up throughout the fight -- right now this will award a fair amount of embers, although after the next patch they are nerfing the ember generation from Rain.
Be mindful that even the "realistic" dps listings on Noxxic are pretty tough to achieve, but if you get in the groove, I would expect you could push 120K+ especially on that fight with all the executes.

My bad... yes I meant backdraft, not backlash.
I use Need to Know (NTK). It allows you to create movable bar timers. I place 1 set above my character to manage procs (trinks, weapons, and dark soul because I time it with procs) and another beneath my character to manage my personal CD's/dots (RoF, Immolate, and Optical Blast). I also place one beside my character to monitor backdraft procs (so as not to accidentally cast CB while I have 3+ charges). It also has the ability to visually manage embers, but I don't use it because it's a bit cumbersome.
I actually used NTK for affliction too, to time haunt with procs and manage dot timers, but I haven't played affliction since 5.2 so I can't comment too much on current strats for the spec.
A lot of people seem to use Weak Auras, which I think does a lot of the same stuff, but I liked how NTK worked so I haven't looked into Weak Auras at all.
It's A LOT to manage, but that's part of what has always made playing a warlock so fun for me. If you can learn to manage it correctly, you always push great numbers.

Lancecaster, thanks for the reply. Perhaps with all of the silliness on that fight, I don't get enough of those executes in and it drops my dps significantly. I definitely make sure that my RoF hits both heads. I've been pretty good about that. Only rarely will I accidentally use Chaos bolts with the backdraft buff (I guess that's what you meant by backlash, because I don't usually get backlash on this fight).
I would probably say that my biggest issue with destruction (and with affliction) is correctly managing buff procs. Mainly, because there are SO FREAKING MANY TO DEAL WITH! For me, I have two trinkets, the tailoring cloak proc, and the weapon proc. They all seem to be going off at different times and trying to decide whether to refresh this or cast that is pretty insane to keep up with.
So, I guess another question is, any good addons for managing that specifically?
Affdots. Get affdots.
You can thank me later ;)
