You could say the same about people not reading the forum guidelines or the names of the various forums.

Unfortunately, this problem is widespread, usually on forums and similar systems. There are threads with multiple pages, and then there's a reply that refers only to the initial post, with no regard to that their statement/question/correction had already been given on the very first page. I recall a recent thread here with a controversal lore idea, and people just kept on replying how (not literally) stupid it was, despite basically all previous replies stating the same.
There's emphasis, and then there's simply ignoring that other people have replied already.

Nonsense. They have a
book club
. I saw them discussing Stephen King's
Carrie
.

These forums are a great help. However, it is not always as easy to find answers as one would think. This was easy and I'm glad I know now that I can give the book a toss. Wish they would either remove it from the game or put a sell price on it.
I think the game is already on rails with regards to questing, with no small contribution from the addons most people find essential.
Items that make people wonder or at the very least go scurrying to Wowhead to find answers are a good thing in my opinion.
Not to mention can give a person leveling alts a little flashback to a more innocent time. :)
Edit:-
Answering the OP, Well no the majority don't, just like a lot of people don't bother to read a manual before playing a game, or attempting the
Lemarchand's Box
that is IKEA furniture. (And yes I am convinced that should you manage to sucessfully assemble IKEA furniture without having pieces left over, solving the box.. you will indeed summon demons)
