I have a question about running 2 instances of wow on the same computer, even though the subject says multi-boxing I didn't know what to put instead. I want to run 2 instances of wow on one computer at the same time, because I want to do Recruit-A-Friend and i'm looking for something that allows me to press a key and on the other account it presses it for that one as well, anyone have any suggestions?.

Mac or PC?
If I were you, I'd just google 'wow multiboxing software' or something and go from there.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Cheers.

Ditto to what Lanky says.
When I RaF myself, I primarily control only one character. I run the game on 2 computers, my desktop and a laptop. The primary is on the desktop and the secondary is on the laptop. I keep the mice side by side.
The secondary has two macros created, an assist and attack macro and a mount-up, target and follow macro. I hot key the macros to extra buttons on my mouse and click when necessary.
It's a little clunky, but after a few minutes into the play session muscle memory takes over and its smooth sailing. I spent last weekend running a new pair up to 65. The only time I need to bother with the secondary is to pickup and turn in quests and the odd occasion that quest items are not shared such as items that need to be collected off the ground. For those cases the primary has a target and follow macro to make life a bit easier.
Point is, it's doable without multi-boxing software and I know I am doing nothing and running nothing that is going to get me reported or banned.

When I did it, I did it on my Mac and used Plexor, which was super simple to set up.
I believe the go-to key broadcasting software for windows in Keyclone.
I personally always used a healer to drag around, I cleared the numpad of hotkeys on my main account and used that for macros on the slave. Press for heal main, shift-press for heal alt. I basically had my own emergency healer in case I got in over my head - only wish Blizz would let you take quests that are higher level that you ;)
Also set up the Jamba add-on. It's a god send, allows you to see the progression of all you alts quests, automatically take quest rewards and more.
