With me it's people who zoom in and grab a herb or mineral or even a quest item while you are busy battling mobs to get the item yourself! They hang around on the fringe (or even hovering above) wait until someone takes on the mobs then nips in and steals, yes I said STEALS the item from right under your nose! Come on, if you can't beat the mobs to get the item yourself, go and find something you are capable of.
I know on a lot of occasions it is simply a misunderstanding, they didn't realize you were there or after that item, but yesterday I found a good place to farm Green Leaf Tea and this guy was following me and nicking it while I was battling Kunzen who were nearby!
He was even leading mobs against me the little git!
Still I found a better place shortly after wards and collected over 200 green leaf tea and 12 golden lotuses in just under an hour!

Some one who tells me to L2P. It's the worst thing you can say to anyone.
WORST!
If someone says that, they are telling you to look deeper into your class and learn it. You may see it as an insult, but if they have to say it, something is going on to earn the comment.

I agree with what you're saying. But if someone takes the time to say L2P to someone then they should have the decency to tell that person what they're doing wrong. There's a difference between constructive criticism and being a dbag.

I will do this to the other faction all day everyday, but never to my own.

I hate when PvP happens on a PvP realm. Time to complain about it on the forums.

Well I didn't do much d & r playing before MoP. I was mainly PvE (still am to be truthful) but there is a lot of elitist attitude out there. Come on folks, we don't all have 3d graphic accelerator cards or 16 Gb RAM. Some people have lower spec machines and have to put up with lagging, stalling and jerky game play from time to time. Also the inconsistent broadband we have here in the UK (especially in rural areas like mine) doesn't help much.
We all have to learn at some time. Bet most of you fell of your bike the first time you tried to ride one, didn't you? Didn't take off the training wheels then go out and win an Olympic gold did you?
It's the rudeness and bad manners I hate! But then I am one of life's "good guys" always obeying the rules and playing fair. I always have time to help someone if I can. Lately I have been doing a lot of the old dungeons (Classic, Cat, BC, WoTLK) with much lower level players. When we come against a bad boss I just say to them "hang back if you want until he is really low then rush in for the kill, you can have the loot all I want is the achievement credit and rep for my current faction" if something comes up for the roll I just click "don't need" what do I want with level 320 (or less) gear when I have level 493 stuff? Sell it for the gold? Nah I make more making Master Healing Potions and selling them in the AH!
All well rant over, feel a bit better for that!

The adolecent insutls that are thrown around in LFR groups. It is mind boggling, the moment one thing goes wrong, the chat panel just explodes with juvenile insults and behaviors. It isnt as bad in the 480 and higher LFR runs, but it still happens.
Outside of LFR it is healers.. The ones who act like healing is an inconvience to them, or the rest of the group owes them something because the healer is doing thier role.

I will generally only emote at people if they started it and I finished it. I'm not a huge one for world PvP, and when given the option I tend to live and let live. The only places where I kill people are in competition for mining nodes, or in Domination Point when I am farming those marks and players drop them. But when someone jumps me and I kill them, I will sometimes /pat, or /clap or something. I'm not great at PvP, so if they have the jump on me and they still lose, they probably shouldn't be jumping people out in the world. I think that because I have a very frilly transmog, people looking for an easy kill assume I'm not all that geared, or something.
My answer, is I get agitated by "gimme gimme gimme" people. I hate people who the only time you see them in guild is when they are asking for free stuff or gold. We once had someone who set his guild note as "First ally toon. Will need gold, mats, etc," which was REALLY obnoxious. And I don't do well with gold beggars either.
What's funny, is I am generally happy to give stuff away to guildies- usually if someone asks me to buy something, and it's not something that is especially expensive or hard to get, I'll just give it to them and not take any gold. I've had new people ask for advice, and sent them away with gold and bags because they were new and weren't just asking for handouts. I have upon receiving polite reasonable requests, like "Could I borrow 1g for bags?" or something, just given gold to strangers. It's not about giving people the items or gold. It's about the attitude that they have, that stuff just SHOULD be given to them. I try to tell myself that it's kids, who probably aren't at the developmental stage where they would feel self-conscious about asking someone else for everything, and not getting it themselves or buying it, but I suspect a lot of people are old enough to know better.

Level 70 rogues who ask level 90 people to carry them through Black Temple, and want to reserve the Warglaives.
"Duel" wield and "duel" spec.
When I get jumped by someone, am clearly winning the fight, and then some other people join in and overpower me, and the first guy mocks me with emotes. It's like that dude doesn't realize that if random strangers wouldn't give him a hand, I would make a soup out of him.

Tanks who drop group after a boss doesn't drop what they want.
As a DPS, I always have long wait times, and waiting for another Tank just adds to the time. I don't know why Tanks don't just finish the dungeon, even though they didn't get the exact loot they wanted.
Cheers.

General ignorance and unwillingness to learn/take advice. This has to be the worst for me personally. I don't mind a player who doesn't know something and asks how/what to do.
Close second is people who fly off the handle anytime they perceive some sort of an injustice against them. I've had people harass me over an herb/mining node before because I got to it faster (no, they weren't even busy fighting mobs or anything like that). First of all, they are just pixels. Secondly, they are extremely common pixels: 10 yards away is another one just like the one I grabbed. I've literally had some guy wish my family died because I mined a node before he did. I have had a guy I ignored after such harassment go on 5 different level 1 alts to keep harassing me. It's mind boggling. If a person gets this upset over pixels imagine what they act like if something goes wrong irl, I shudder even to imagine.
This applies to rare tags, people take this stuff VERY seriously, and if you tag something before them expect name-calling, /spitting etc. I had one guy who I ignored after he started name-calling, contact my guild master to complain I "stole" a rare tag from him (read: he died to the rare due to not knowing mechanics of the fight and I killed it from 100% before he even ran back to his body). At least we had a good laugh at all the crying he did.
