Making some quick cash from DMF

Hi,
This is especially useful for low level characters that don't have much gold and could use some more.
Get the DMF intro quest, if you haven't been there before.
Go to the DMF, and as long as you have 2 professions and cooking and fishing, do the monthly quests to get +5 skill to each and get DMF tokens.
Do some more dailies for tokens if you like.
Now, head over to the Souvenir and Toy Prizes vendor. For each ticket, you can buy a Darkmoon box, 16 slot bag. These can each be sold back to the vendor for 2s 50s. So, each ticket is worth 2g 50s.
On my low level Hunter that only had 5g, I went to DMF, did the prof quests, and ended up with 19 tickets. I bought 18 boxes and sold them back, netting 45g, and then kept one to use. My 50g Hunter is now very happy.
Hope you find this useful.
Cheers.

That is an interesting idea. I see one potential flaw, though. Do you get enough tokens from the profession quests to do a full round of dailies everyday for 7 days? If not, how many more tokens would you need to buy and, taking into consideration the cost of the additional tokens, would the plan still earn you gold?
Don't get me wrong; I really like the sound of this idea. Would be perfect for new players. I'm just curious on whether or not it'll work.

What? You buy tokens to use as a payment for a game. You buy the box with the tickets from the quests
Extra tokens cost like 5s per bag of 20

It is an interesting idea, but gold is only good for bags now.
Gear should be coming from instances, and no one needs to buy spells and glyphs are cheap. I guess it mounts, but as long as you aren't wasting money on AH gear you will have all the gold you need for mounts when the time comes.

Low levels need gold for Riding and Bags. It's always useful to start stockpiling a bit so that the blow at 60 isn't so bad.
Cheers.

Glyphs are not cheap, at least not the useful ones and Profession training still requires gold as do riding training, flight points, repairs and mail.

Taking up gathering professions and going out into the world, gathering while questing will yield way more gold (and level you faster) than this method. Besides the 5 skill points each month, the only good use of the DMF for levelling characters is
WHEE!

^ This. If you are starting on a new realm, make a quick DK, check the AH to see if Mining, Skinning or Herbing makes more money, then go out and grind it up and watch the money flow in. That's what I do whenever I start on a new server.

I don't think that Lanky was suggesting constant repetition of the above, but it's a quick way to pocket some gold to get the ball rolling.
I do it if it's convenient, and my new toon is level 10-15ish. I don't personally bother with the profession quests for these types of toons, but the initial lead in quest and the 5 dailies give you 10 tickets. Nine tickets for bag purchases and vendoring, and one ticket for a bag to keep gives me a quick 16 slot bag to start off with and 22g50s for a nestegg.

You just blew a precious 19 Tokens for an insignificant amount of gold.
You could work a little harder and get 90 for a vanity pet or 55-75 for vanity gear all of which are BoE and depending on server sell for 300-400 (1-2k on my servers for the pets.)
I believe a pet is attainable in the span of 1 faire.
Well, of the 9 toons in my new Venture, I have 2 slated to gather the tickets, and all others convert them into gold. So the 2 will get all the DMF stuff and will work on tickets and will get to 90 first, while all the others are busy leveling up where the gold is useful.
Yep, so each to their own. If you find you don't want the tickets on a toon, but want some gold instead, this is for you. If not, don't bother.
Cheers.
