Yeah with patch 5.2 there will be a new form of Elder Charm of Good Fortune, rendering the old ones useless, so we will be forced to do dailys to collect lesser charms...again.
But anyway should i save the ones i have now? or just turn them into elders anyway.. cus i dont know if blizz are gonna reset the lesser charms like they reset VP.

I'd probably use them if only because it's pretty easy to get Lesser Charms and also I'm pretty sure you can only trade in a limited amount at any time into the new type of charm too. (Heck the Elder Charms may still be useful to use in 5.2)
Also I doubt they'll reset lesser charms. I don't think they're resetting Valor either.

It's been a couple days already since they announced that VP will be kept after patch.

If you're still below iLevel 480 (which is required to enter ToT LFR come 5.2) than I'd use them so you can hit that level before 5.2 lands.
If you are above that I'd personally hold on to them and turn them into Mogu Charms once 5.2 hits.
That being said, it depends on how many Lesser Charms you have. If you're sitting on hundreds of them I'd use them regardless as you aren't going to be running out. If you have to grind dailies each week to reach 90 Lessers, than I wouldn't waste them on Elder Charms anymore.

Several things.
A: Blizz is not resetting VP anymore. They made an announcement and everything.
B: Elder Charms are not useless, as they can still be used on 5.0 raids on any difficulty including normal, with the 10% nerf normal raids are getting, and the part where we can now do CRZ Vaults/Heart/Terrace, you can bet we'll see an increase of pugs for these where the elder charms can prove valuable.
C: Elder Charms are not being removed from the game, just shifting locations. Instead of being obained through that questgiver in the shrine, you now get them by killing mobs on the new island, and by completing a group daily on the new island. (Meaning you can get more than 3 each week)
D: Mogu Charms (the new type being added that only works on 5.2 raids) are obtained from the same NPC in the shrine as the old ones, you can only get 3 per week, and they cost 90 lesser charms as well.
E: Getting lesser charms will be easy as breating, all you gotta do is work on the new faction, which is FUN this time. Didn't you had fun doing the Shieldwall/Domination factions? I know I did, heck I did both of them and enjoyed every step along the way. Not only they involve doing just 5 dailies (a rather small and non-tedious amount) but as your rep grows you unlock nice quests that move the plot forward.
Kirin Tor Offensive and Sunreaver Onslaught are both the same as Shieldwall/Dominance, in that their plot is pretty good, its unlocked as your rep rises, and to do everything for them just involves about an hour of quests every day, perhaps less.
Final solution: if you are at or above ilvl 480 (the min ilvl required to enter the LFR version of the new raid) then stop spending your lesser charms and save them for the new ones. IF you are below the ilvl 480 mark, convert lesser charms into elder BUT DO NOT SPEND THEM YET. You can hoard up to 10 of them, and when 5.2 hits, loot drop rates in all the 5.0 raids will get buffed significantly, THEN is when you spend your hoarded Elder Charms so you can get to 480.
And as usual even if below 480, and you start hoarding elder charms, keep in stock at least a min of 90 lessers to turn into Mogu Charms when 5.2 goes live.

NO
>:C
(Kidding, most of the daily quests were pretty good and I hit exalted before getting sick of them. But the Ogudei ones can go jump off a cliff.)

well....... >_> yes, but that was one set out of 5. And even then out of that particular set only 2 quests were annoying, the rest were fine.

I loved doing the shield wall.. only thing that pissed me off was the fact that the commendations took up bagspace.. thought they would of learnt from the lesser charms, but oh well.

Thanks for this, I'm only up to the Heroics stage, haven't stepped foot in a 5.x raid yet, but sounds like a great way of using those charms, and kind of getting a head start for 5.2.
I'm so tired of being behind the 8 ball, but I'm time (and probably skill) poor so anything that can help
is always appreciated.
