Dark clouds filled the sky, blocking out the sun above and casting the world into a grey darkness. From above, slight specks of white snow fell; each and every tiny snowflake entirely unique, nothing like any that came before or after it.
And yet, despite their uniqueness, each and every snowflake fell as one; drifting down towards the ground slowly but surely. Once there, they would land atop billions more like themselves; each and every just as unique, yet all together in the blanket of themselves along the ground.
The massive scaled beast blinked as several landed upon his snout; snorting and shaking his head. it was a futile effort however, as more snow continued to fall upon his blue scales. The Drake huffed, glancing skywards. A large horn sprouted from the tip of his snout; stretching upwards. His scales were a dark azure in color, his wing membranes more of a navy blue as they sat folded upon his back.
The other Drake beside him was a much lighter blue in color, her own wings nearly white as she flapped them excitedly. "Oh look, snow!" She exclaimed.
"And?" The male looked at her. "It's always snowing here..."
"Oh Locy." Sorigosa shot the other Drake a look. "Don't be dumb now. It's exciting because it gives up the perfect cover!"
Locronos sighed; glancing ahead. "I suppose... I still don't understand why your obsessing over this..."
"You're telling me you've never wanted to go see?" The female asked. "I mean, it's been a few mortal years now, and the Undead are still held up here... I want to know what they're doing."
"We shouldn't go getting ourselves involved in mortal affairs." Locronos replied.
"You know as well as I do it's hardly their problem alone." Sorigosa glared. "Now come on, let's go!" She stated; wings spreading outwards and flapping. The Drake lifted herself skywards; taking off into the distanced.
Grumbling, Locronos followed shortly; shooting through the snow and after the female. Glancing upwards, he watched her fly. She was beautiful; gliding through the air gracefully. He still didn't like the idea, but if Sori wanted to go, he would follow.
The duo soared skywards, up and over the mountainous border to the barren tundra that the Scourge had overtaken.
Snow still fell, but it only covered the land in a thin veil. Beneath it was ice; miles and miles of ice which buried unknown secrets. From below, shambling forms glanced upwards at the flying beasts.
"They see us." Locronos muttered worriedly.
"Of course they do... we're not exactly hiding." Sorigosa replied; looking around.
"Good, can we go now?"
"You're such a Whelp, you know that?" Sorigosa chided. "Where's your sense of adventure?"
"I left it in my egg, unfortunately..." Locronos replied.
Without replying, the female dropped to the side; moving downwards at the sight of a large scar in the land. Locronos blinked and quickly followed. A massive crevice broke into the ice, the depths shadowed in darkness.
The two flew within, bones sticking out from the walls; full skeletons distorted by their frozen prisons. "Are those Dragons?" Locronos wondered.
"Looks like they were..." Sori nodded, suddenly pulling up from her descent. "Woah!"
"What is it?" Locronos asked worried, himself pulling back as he gasped at the sighed.
The floor of the crevice teemed with activity; Undead working tirelessly and carving their way into the ice. Where bones stuck out, they hacked away to free the skeletons. Eyes suddenly turned upwards at the duo, screams and moans echoing along the walls.
"That's..." Locronos blanked, watching as several far more alive figures took notice. "Look out!" He shouted; bolts of magic whizzing upwards.
"Woah!" Sorigosa yelled again; spinning to avoid the attacks. The Drakes turned; quickly moving upwards towards the higher opening. The walls began to shake quite violently, however. The bones that suck out shook; cracks forming around them.
One suddenly caused an explosion in the wall; massive chunks of ice falling downwards and signaling more bursts to flood the opening with the frozen water.
"What's going on?" Sori shouted, spinning to avoid the falling debris. She gasped suddenly as one of the Draconic skeletons lunged outwards; roaring as it reaching for her. Locronos zoomed through; slamming into the Frostwyrm and knocking it into a falling chuck of ice; sending it plummeting with a scream.
"Okay, changed my mind, no more adventures today!" Sorigosa exclaimed; taking off skywards alongside the male Drake. More roars filled the air; skeletons shooting outwards after them as the Drakes exited the canyon.
"Move, move. move!" Locronos roared, not daring to glance behind him as the Undead Dragons quickly gained.
"We're not gonna make it!" Sorigosa screamed.
"Dive!" Locronos shouted; Sori ducking as he rose. Blue arcane magics glowed from his back and wings as he let loose a blast towards the ground. The magics carved into the ice; ripping open a tunnel that the female Drake quickly zoomed into. Hopeful, Locronos followed quickly.
Their hopes were quickly dashed however. The sound of shattering ice echoed after them as the Frostwyrms smashed their way into the tunnel and gave chase. "Not good, not good!" Sori cried out in fear.
"UP!" Locronos screamed behind her, the female turning up suddenly and launching an attack to carve through the ice again. The duo zoomed back towards the surface, screams echoing as the Undead Dragons smashed into one another at the sharp turn they had created.
"WOOO-HOOOO!" Sorigosa exclaimed, bursting back above the ice and taking off into the sky. She turned back suddenly as Locronos roared; the male ripped from his flight and slammed hard into the ground. "Locronos!" She yelled; diving at his attacking.
The elven woman turned, her long red hair blowing in the icy wind as she turned to face the female Drake. She rose a massive armored hand; purple magics launching outwards and entangling Sorigosa.
The Drake found herself slammed downwards quite suddenly; leaving a small crater in the ice. The necromancy gribbed her again suddenly; entangling her wings and suddely twisting them.
With a sharp crack as they were broken, Sori screamed in pain. Locronos roared; charging the Undead woman and knocking her aside. "SORI!" He shouted; leaping to the female.
"Locy... I'm sorry..." She muttered.
"It's not-"
"It's entirely my fault." Sorigosa glared. "And that's why I want you to run."
"What?" Locronos asked. "No! Never! Not in this lifetime, not in a million lifetimes!"
"I'm not asking." Sorigosa assured him. "I'm telling you to run. Now!"
The Blue was about to respond when he was suddenly gripped again and pulled backwards along the ice. Flipping backwards, the woman slashed with a massive blade; slicing the Drake along his underside and electing a roar of pain.
"NO!" Sori screamed; throwing herself forward and rushing the death knight. "I won't let you hurt him!"
Necromantic magics exploded upwards in a wall; slamming against Sorigosa's arcane magics and slowly but surely overcoming them. The female looked at Locronos. "RUN!" She screamed. "GET OUT OF HERE!"
Locronos stared, lifting himself from the ground and staring. "Sori.."
"Please!" She screamed in pain. "Just run!"
Locronos shut his eyes; lifting higher and taking off through the air. A screamed echoed upwards as Sori's magics were overcome, pain filling the air. The Blue could sense as the necromancy filled the air; stripping away the Drake he loved of everything she was.
He cursed himself, eyes shut tight as he kept flying; further and further.... he couldn't stop. If Sori wanted him to run, he would run...
His mouth opened; a pained roar of sorrow escaping him.

Authors Notes:
1. I decided to try redoing Locronos' story, hoping that it would help me get more action with him.... this is what I came up with.
2. This is a very bad fan-fic. I'm sorry.
