CRZ-free Realms?

Hi,
If I understand correctly, there are currently two realms in WoW that are free from CRZ.
They are Ravenholt-US and The-Venture-Co-US.
Does anyone know of any other ones? The above two are both RP-PvP and that's not really my scene (even though I do have a couple of toons on The Venture Co because of an Ironman Challenge they had there).
Cheers.

Those are the only two, and they are that way specifically BECAUSE they are RP-PvP, and they don't have other servers of that type to mix together. I imagine that they actually are CRZ'd with each other, but it's not noticeable because it's only 2 (low pop?) realms.

The mere idea of trying to be a self-sufficient altoholic on a PvP makes me shudder, RP added tag or not.

Well, at least you wouldn't be ganked constantly like you would if it did have CRZ. And the fact that it's RP doesn't mean one has to RP, right? It's just that we should be respectful of those that do RP, I think.
Ravenholdt is an EST server, and The Venture Co. is a PST server. I might switch my base of operations over to The Venture Co. soon.
Cheers.

I rather like the quieter kind of life to be found on RP realms to be honest. My project du jour is being done on Silver Hand which is an RP realm. Regarding ganking though, isn't VeCo highly faction imbalanced in favour of the Horde? Or was that Alliance Guild offering the 100k for the VeCo Ironman just because of low server pop?

@Lanky- I don't know that RP rules are all that strictly enforced anymore. I would say you should try not to name any toons, pets or guilds anything that breaks immersion. Other than that, my limited experience in RP trade chat has been that it is the same as any other trade chat.

As with all my toons, they will be XXXXbrit, with the XXXX being something about the character in question. I guess that's OK, because I'm RPing a Brit :) I guess I better roll a Worgen :)
Cheers.

Actually sorry to burst your bubble, but neither of those servers are non-CRZ anymore.
Blizz has changed several realms to be RP-PVP, as a result there's like 5 or 6, and all of them form a CRZ cluster.
its still smaller than the CRZ of PVP/PVE/RP realms, but its there.
I know it because I have an alt parked on the spawn-point of the minfernal and I still see people from other realms as well.

Are you sure? There was just a post on the main forums about Ravenholdt telling people it was non-CRZ and saying they should come over. Are you sure it's not some Real-ID invited person from another realm you're seeing?
Cheers.

I created a new Character on the Venture Co server, and trust me, the high density of people from other realms I saw....... I highly doubt they were all invited.
Besides,
as you can see here
There's 6 RP-PVP servers right now. All of them hooked on the CRZ. As I said before, while the density is smaller than on PVP/PVE/RP realms because its just six (as opposed to 20 or 30) its still noticeable, specially as these are actually very populated realms.
Paradoxically, these used to be low-pop realms, but due to people fleeing from CRZ, they've become highly populated servers, with a high influx of players, resulting in more crowded CRZs than it would otherwise xD

Would anyone from North America like to confirm that between 20 and 30 servers are merged for CRZ over there. In the EU it is about 8 on the two servers I'm on.
If it's true, then it might explain why the negative descriptions of CRZ I am reading on this forum bear no resemblance to what I'm seeing in the EU.
The CRZ realms are merged according to type(IE PVP to PVP, RP to RP, etc etc etc) and then Battlegroups I believe, so it's not a case of all servers over lapping each other, though with RealID it's possible to merge in any number of servers from the different battlegroups.

I've only seen players from 5 or 6 different servers in regular zones on my server, not 20-30 if that's any help.
Cheers.

yeah, 20 to 30 was just an example, a more accurate number would be anywhere between 8 and 12 depending on region.
which means RP-PVP are not so different from regular realms as there are 6 of them now.

The CRZ realms are merged according to type(..)
and then Battlegroups
...
So this means that all PvE servers within a Battlegroup will be in a CRZ together, and same with the PvP ones. And then all RP servers,
regardless of Battlegroup
, will be in a CRZ together because there are so few of them, and another cross-Battlegroup CRZ for the RP-PvP servers. Yes?
I'm wondering because I'm looking at my Battlegroup and there's just a single RP server, and according to the realm list I'm looking at, there are only like 13 RP servers in the US. So they'd be grouped together even though they're from different Battlegroups? Or maybe broken into New York/Chicago and Phoenix/LA datacenter groups?

That I'm not entirely sure of; about the only other RP realm I see merged to Earthen Ring is Argent Dawn so....

The Venture Co IS CRZ free.
I quested in Eastern Plaguelands for an hour on my 42 Hunter. I saw one Alliance and one other Horde the whole time. Both from Venture Co. I also killed 3 rares, which would have been impossible in a CRZ zone.
So, no CRZ on Venture Co.
Cheers.

Again, wrong. Just because you saw nobody on EPL doesn't mean anything. On my own realm (Duskwood) I leveled several characters (monk and warlock) and also never saw a soul in EPL.
Try the real heavy-trafic zones like Hellfire Peninsula (And by extension most of outland, including the ring of blood in nagrand) and the cataclysm zones such as Hyjal.
In pvp CRZ zones, gankers will concentrate on the funnel points in leveling, the parts were players are guaranteed to show up. EPL is one out of 5 different zones within its level bracket, you will have less victims if you camp there. Hellfire Peninsula however is mandatorial to cross over to outland, as is Blasted lands.
Once more my friend, Venture Co is a CRZ server. So what if its 6 realms instead of 8 or 12? its still a lot. And these are not low-pop realms, as you can see on the screenshot they are medium-to-high density population realms (Specially as people flock there thinking its less crowded, paradoxically, making it crowded in the process of fleeing from other crowds.

Rankkor. I asked in chat in several places too. Everyone said it was free of CRZ. I've never seen a rare in questing zones on CRZ servers. I saw THREE in an hour.
I did a few more tests.
1. Went to Hellfire Pen. 2 other horde there level 60. Through Carbonite, I became aware of one Alliance while flying around.
2. Went to Dalaran - empty. Flew to Wintergrasp. This always dis-mounted me on CRZ. Didn't dis-mount.
3. Wen to Blasted Lands to see if anyone was camping the portal area, One other Horde in the zone (level 60). Didn't see any Alliance. Waited around for 10 minutes - no one came through portal or came near it.
4. Went to the front gates of Org. Only 2 players dueling, both from Venture Co. This place is packed on CRZ servers.
You believe what you want. As far as I'm concerned, it's CRZ-free.
Cheers.

I've seen rares on Earthen Ring all the time in the 1-60 zones; not that big of a deal.
