Anyone have a problem with DKs?

I love my DK, but I only play him OoC. I love the lore around them, but I like it as more of a personal story when I'm soloing than something I share with others. So, when it's IC time, I play my warlock or whatever.
I didn't think too much of it, but looking in my RP guild roster, we literally have 0 DKs. Last night there was an RP event held in Silvermoon, where everyone was very respectable and fun...except for one obnoxious DK who wanted to be the center of attention. It's a weird coincidence that DKs just don't seem to pop up often in RP situations....at least on my server.
Anyone out there roleplay a successful DK or know one that isn't a dweeb? I know for a fact they are out there, it just seems they are some kind of minority.

I don't roleplay in-game, but I do have a Death Knight that I play occasionally. My biggest problem with him is that he's too damn violent and abrasive to play cooperatively with anyone else.

It is probably because dk's have a bad rep for being lvl58 in goldshire.
only reason they chose dk is so they dont have to level up to equip black mageweave..

Playing a good RP death knight is a bit hard, not only because of the higher level you start at. It's because they have no real history, they were created by the lich king during WotLK from fallen victims. I myself play two DKs.Oh, I disagree, and I'm sure a few others here will as well. Most Death Knights that I have seen generally remember their history, and have their own take on how they feel about losing it all and becoming an undead murder machine.
My Death Knight, for instance, is an orc named Rashakk, who was a particularly violent guy even before his death, and thinks that becoming a Death Knight is the best thing that ever happened to him. Now he doesn't need to eat, drink, or rest between battles, and he literally gets stronger for each foe he kills.

I find them similar to Worgen characters in a lot of ways. Basically, they have a curse of power put on them that in many ways robs them of the life they once had, but gives them the tools to make a new one. That's kind of why I like my Worgen DK, because he's had his life taken from him twice and that makes him slightly more interesting to play for my own tastes. But, as far as not having a future, that right there is a story hook.
Especially right now, a DK could look at Pandaria and see a land being slowly corrupted by the sha and other evils and it could become a personal mission to make sure that no Pandaren ever falls to a fate similar to your own.

That's another point. I try to make my characters accepting of DKs, but my Blood Elf can't do it, really.

There's also the tricky part where no one really trusts you because your walking dead. Even the forsaken might not trust you, though that's up to interpretation. Deathknights, IMO, are just too much trouble to bother with.Of course, if your Dk happens to have been a murderous psychopath in life as well, that may be nothing new for them.
