Tanking Stone Guardian

So my guild is starting a second raid group and we had our first shot at Vaults 10-man normal last night. We never got past Stone Guardians. A big part of the problem was tanking. I am the main tank. I seem to have a hard time keeping track of who to taunt and when. I understand the basic concepts, but when it comes to executing, I struggle.
What do you recommend to make the mechanics and execution of this fight easier? Some things I've thought about since last night are:
Macros for targeting and taunting the various guardians.
Find an addon that will replace the Boss Plates. (The standard blizzard ones are too small and hard to read)
Macros that issue raid warnings so other tank knows which one to taunt
What would you suggest to make tanking this fight easier?
Thanks,
Lev

Hey I'm not sure about the other stuff as i don't have a very highly geared tank but as for the plates try out Tidy Plates. They show aggro nicely and you can adjust colours/sizes etc. Its a good add on for any character too not just tanks because it shows when you are stealing aggro too. Hope this helps and I hope you have better luck on your next run. :)

There is an alternate method that can help for tanks that have trouble taunting properly. It works best with a paladin mt, but any properly played class can do.
Essentially, you start the fight with your main tank on the solo dog, and your off tank on the two dogs. When the two dogs hit 30 energy, the main tank taunts one dog over.
So at this point in the encounter, the main tank will have one dog at 0 and one dog at 30, while the off tank has 1 dog at 30. When the main tank has one dog at 90 and one at 60, the off tank will bring the dog at 30 over. Then, all 3 dogs will be gaining energy, and you will have occasional bad overloads going off. At this point, the two tanks should be stacked together, and kiting around the room to keep clear of traps and amethyst pools, and the entire rest of the raid should be stacked behind the dogs.
The advantages of this strategy is that is will increase your raid dps, as you can cleave onto all 3 dogs, lessens the problems with taunt swapping and aggro that can happen, especially in the initial set of swaps, and keeps the damage predictable.
You will have bad overloads, and this method is entirely non viable for heroic, but especially with a new group that is learning to communicate, it can definitely help you down it.

The main problem that I see for that strat is that with new groups tend to have newer geared 90's and the healers may not be able to keep up with the damage from the "bad" Overloads.
Honestly, even if your healers are undergeared, if you have a paladin tank it won't matter. Glyph of the battle healer is that good.

This one is really easy. The begining is the only hard part, but I assume you can do that so Ill skip that.
If you always taunt/switch the previously pertrifying one, then you already know which one to taunt before you know if you actually need to taunt. We tell our tanks that when they one petrifying is about to overload, go ahead and target it. If the dog that they have starts to petrify they can instantly taunt it over.
It works well if your tanks actually target early.
