Hello everyone,
I have created a new guild on the Draenor server, but I am currently the only member in the guild.
Is there any chance anyone can get me up to speed (preferable in depth) with how you gain experience to level the guild as I can't get any any members to join a level 1 guild. Plus i would obviously like all the bonuses that come with the guild perks.
Cheers
Nick

Do quests, do dailies, get more people and run guild groups = all give guild exp and rep.

OK. Well i am questing at the minute to level but can anyone give a bit more info on guild experience? And some advice on how to level my guild quickly, I am struggling to get an new members so that isn't really an option at the minute as no one will join a level 1 guild.

The best thing is to just get all of your alts into the guild and level them up. Just questing gives a lot of Exp. Also, create a macro for guild invites.. and just press it once whenever you are in town. Even getting a single low-level player in your guild will help a lot if they are actively leveling their character.
If it is only you, and you are actively leveling your alts, you will get to lvl 5-6 very quickly, once you have the 10% exp boost, put that in your macro. There are a lot of new players who would love to see that and won´t know that they are missing some other perks.. but really, for new players, none of them are really that important anyway.
Another thing I do (in my macro) is offer bags for new players. Runecloth bags cost almost nothing, but a lot of new players have issues at low levels with bag-space.

Thank you. I have created a macro that will advertise in the general channel. I can't get my alts into the guild though as I am the only member so there is no way to invite my alts :(

Each quest rewards 60k Guild XP. Regardless of level or difficulty or anything like that. Once you get your alts in the guild, a fast way to get some easy GXP is the Darkmoon Fair. Those dailies each give the 60k XP, can be done on a level 1 (I think, low level at least), and are really simple. If you do them every day on all your alts you can probably knock out the first few levels of your guild in the week -- too bad the fair just ended :( but it'll give you time to set up for next month.

I'll join and invite your alts. Draenor realm, but which faction?
I'm horde mate, that would be really helpful if you wouldn't mind.

I'll join as well, if you want... Did you WANT to stay the only member or get more people as well? Just tell me the name of it and I will join..

This is one of the most broken features of the guild-experience system.
If you weren't quick off the mark and established a solid guild the moment that feature went live, you had very VERY little chance of getting people to join your guild.
99% of players, including your friends, will go with the established guilds for the perks that come with them.
If you can´t get people to join your guild, do you really have a guild? I think your expectation that any person can start a guild and level it is flawed. If you create a guild with the 5 signatures needed, and they are actually people interested in starting a real guild.. those 5 players are more than enough to level the guild rapidly. And if you actually do things together, like heroic dungeons or arena... then you will fly to 25.
In a way, what we are doing here (myself included) is offering ways to ´abuse´ the entire function of the guild leveling system. ´ how can I, as an individual, level my guild´.. It is a question that really shouldn´t even be answerable.
But that is besides the point. a single person can quickly level their guild to lvl 6, which give you the 10% exp bonus, which is more than enough to entice new players or alts into your guild.

I just started a new guild. It says I have to have 4 member signatures to start in order to register it.In the charter when I open it it says to click on a player to invite then click request signature.Does this mean players running around or players out of the guild tab in other guilds
The players you invite to join a guild (as one of the 4 starting member) cannot be in any other guild. So, players out in the world who are currently not in a guild.
Cheers.

You can also use the addon called SuperGuildInvite
It does an automatic /who scan and finds players not in a guild and will list them. Then you can click choose invites, and click on the players you want to invite. It can send an automatic whisper (detailing what you want the guild to become in terms of playstyle like raid or social) and it will also invite them as well.
Addons like that are SUPER annoying. It's kinda like fishing for people inexperienced enough to click any invite.

Agreed, Nulgar. If I'm ever on a new toon, and I get these spam messages from people (had it happen 5 times in under a minute once), I report them for spamming. It's a huge pet peeve of mine.

If its one invite to a particular guild then it is not spamming and you are abusing the spam reporting. If however it is the same guild and toon over and over, then yes i would agree with you.
That's why the add-on i use BLACKLISTS the toon the moment the invite is sent, that way I do not accidentally invite the same person over and over.
You can also auto decline guild invites in the game preferences, so if it is that big of a pet peeve for you then you should know how to prevent it as well.
The add on is still annoying; every time I get a random guild invite, then a whisper right after, I always tell the person that no one is going to join up with a guild that does that.

As i sit here looking at my guild roster of all those that accepted the invite AND have over one mil in activity points with most having more that 4 mil....i lol
Again got my guild from level 1-10 in 13 days doing just what you said won't work :)
Okay and? If you had whispered me, I would have told you where to stuff it =P. I hate that add on, and most people I've spoken to dislike it as well.

Well if you want quantity over quality then spam away. I'm with the others. I hate, no, I loathe guild-invite-add-on spam, particularly those that whisper 'you'd be the perfect addition to our guild'.
I always reply, "Oh. Really? I didn't know you were looking for guild bank robbing, drama-mongering, constantly begging for help pain in the asses, cause that's what I'd intentionally be just to pay you back for bothering me."
There are realm forums, chat channels and the looking for guild feature. Bothering people with addon spam is just plain rude. I am not interested in enriching you by helping to level your pathetic guild or by contributing to the 10% loot fund. Senders of addon spam get insta-ignored.
