Usually I am on top of the forums for various sites.
But today I got a quest to go meet someone who was helping an injured person in Kunlai summits ( I have already done the one new scenario). I was just shocked today that there was a major lore turning point that I learned first by seeing ingame.
Did they sneak this on, or did I just miss it mentioned anywhere.
SPOILER
It was also really cool going back to the valley of trials as a lvl 90.

well, if my hints didn´t give you enough info.
There is a quest that takes you from Domination point (horde) up to that little fishing village in Kun-lai summit to talk to Chen, who is with a very nearly dead famous troll, who sends you to Durator - valley of trials...
I am not sure what triggered me getting the quest. But I was not even honored with Domination yet. I was just surprised because it was a really huge story-arc that I had never seen mentioned anywhere before.

Which quest?
I think he's referring to
Regeneration Takes Time
, which leads to
this quest
. I'd not got this far personally, just looked it up; so I don't know what it's all about. It's classified under "Pandaren Campaign."

Reaching 5.000 reputation with the Dominance Offensive triggers the quest. Quests with the DO trigger at certain reputation values and not at the classic "at each new reputation level" like most quests.

There's also a timer between the progression quests as well. 2-3 days between each group is what's been reported.

Yep, those are the ones. I just can´t believe there hasn´t been more discussions about what Thrall has you do at the end. I almost wanted to say ´no, you put him in charge, you take him out.´ .. the whole part about echo islands is wrong, I wish they gave us a choice.

Thats such a cool quest and plotline, i just wish i could be on the "other side" in that and not be on the scheming illoyal side.
Especially that confrontation with the first Kor´Kron you meet on Darkspear. Thrall says something like "Have i been gone so long?" and that guy says "We have a new warchief now!" i would have liked to get the option to agree with the Kor´ Kron and teach that boring Thrall a lesson or two.

I don't think there's an actual timer, you just need a certain reputation level in order to unlock the next progression quest. And since you can only obtain "X" reputation a day, you are simply gated from how quick you can reach those reputation intervals.

I agree that it would be interesting to show more of both sides; but I think Garrosh has been depicted as so one-dimensionally "bad" that that's the problem in the first place. Brutal and merciless with a reason would make more sense for a warchief, while "lol he's just a jerk like that and that's fun" is hard to relate to.

Spoiler...
My problem with that questline is this... We show up with Thrall, and he has us kill horde orcs who are loyal to Garrosh... then, at other points, we are doing quests for Garrosh..... so what is to prevent Thrall from showing up with ´other heros´ and seeing us( the players) as the bad guys needing to be killed. Most of this expansion, haven´t we been doing what Garrosh has asked us to do? no different than those orcs on Echo Isles.
Sorry Thrall, you are a coward.. you should have confronted Garrosh with us in the beginning rather than killing horde orcs.

But the quests we did for Garrosh weren't to kill or hurt other members
of the horde
, which is what the orcs on Echo Isles were doing; the quests were more of general support of the warchief and tribe. You've got a point in that Thrall might have confronted Garrosh, but Thrall had wondered whether it were really in his place to try persuading the present warchief to his own beliefs.

Lets face it, Garrosh is the coolest character ever. I know some people thinks he lacks depth and others thinks he is a downright moron. Thats the beauty of Garrosh right there.
He is just so defiant, so full of himself, so paranoid, so hypocritical and so awesome that he gets me the shivers (im straight, but even so) in every cutscene he appears in. Everything is so spot on awesome about his personality that i lack words to describe it. I just wanna scream "Lok tar Ogar!" cry from joy, set a personal best in benchpress, scream like a twelve year old Justin Bieber fan and punch my Alliance playing neighbour straight in the face irl.
He is by far my most favourite Lore character, even cooler than Arthas, even more awesome than Archbishop Benedictus ("There is no light! Only...Powaaaah!") and the end of this expansion is going to be so awesome (and sad, since i will miss him, but still) that i am seriosly close to not being able to handle the awesomeness and get a panic attack.

Yeah, I see your point. I guess I would rather have a direct revolution then just killing off the peons who are doing nothing more than following orders given by the guy who was put in power by the guy now wanting to kill them... ´hey dude, you are the one who appointed him warchief, don´t get all pissy at me for doing what he says´..

Yeah you're right; I've not finished the campaign yet so I wonder if ultimately he does confront Garrosh. I am curious to see what ends up with Garrosh using that mogu bell.
idk if this has been mentioned above already but if you do the new scenarios it clues you in on where a lot of this new lore is coming from. I am guessing it is the same famous troll you were talking about in your op.
Huh, good to know - maybe I'll do them. I'd not done scenarios in a long time because I find them very tedious and dull, but might be interesting for the lore.

PAAAAWAAAA!
This post is full of win even if I don't necessarily like Garrosh. Well - I do like his bad-asssedness in wanting to kill and destroy the alliance (what got me into WC3 back many years ago was when I saw the orcs and how awesome their buildings were with all the enormous fangs jutting out and all the ass-kicking). It just irritates me that Garrosh is depicted deliberately as a one-dimensional bad guy, because I don't think the horde is bad. I think the alliance just really sucks and begs to be beaten up.

I think the ´daggers point´ or something like that was the very first part of this questline, also a scenerio. I am not sure you would be even getting these quests now if you didn´t take that quest then and complete that one scenerio. I am not sure about the rest of them.
It is just a really hard-hitting lore sequence being played out through the daily quests

This is what happens when you don't read the dialog.
Ok, First off, the main reason Thrall will not harm us, is because as cephadex said, WE are not hurting other members of the horde. Those subjugators on the echo isles weren't just doing garrosh's bidding, they were actively hurting (and killing) other members of the horde, which is unnaceptable.
Second reason, is that at this point we're more or less, Double Agents.
Think about it, Garrosh doesn't trust Vol'jin, he also doesn't trusts Baine, he specifically hates Sylvannas (Even calling her the B-word in silverpine) and sees lor'themar as little else than dirt on his boots. He has severe trust issues, and nobody but ultra-loyal zealots get his trust. At this point he confides mostly on his own Kor'kron forces, but, he also trusts us.
WE are veterans of the horde, WE braved the dangers of outland, faced the perils of northrend, brought the demise of the lich king, toppled the titan's creations on ulduar, endured the rigors of the cataclysm, put an end to the Destroyer, and are living legends and celebrated heroes amongst the horde (which for some reason, doesn't stop every John and Jane from ordering us around).
So, he trusts us, and thinks we're on his side. But we're really plotting against him, along with Vol'jin, because as the old saying goes, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies, Even closer". Its easier to protect baine, and learn from what garrosh is planing if you play nice and stay close to him. So far he has not ordered us to do anything against other members of the horde too.
And as for your third question, for why hasn't thrall confronted garrosh NOW. He said why on his quest in the echo isles. He could confront garrosh right now if he wanted to, but he sees that not all orcs share HIS (thrall's) vision of the horde anymore. Several of them are 100% behind what garrosh is doing, and he doesn't feel like he deserves to impose HIS vision of the horde, if he must become another dictator to do so.
So for the time being, he's just protecting the trolls from the wrath of garrosh, and secretly gathering support.
Also, this quest showed us something interesting: Thrall's child has been born already.

Dave Kosak actually tweeted this directly
when people were wondering what the conditions to unlock were. It's even mentioned in the
guide here on Wowhead.
